Hi all, i grew up in the 1960's and 70's, so am getting a bit old now, i remember playing Battleships differently, basically you tied 2 metres of string to your Airfix model of the Hood, your friend/brother/cousin or playmate tied 2 metres of string to his Airfix model of the Bismark, and you pulled them around the garden throwing matches, stones, rocks at each other trying to destroy his ship.
Then someone went and spoilt it all by inventing the Internet! lol !
Now we have computers we can still play Battleships without our parents getting angry or destroying the family garden.
I have all 4 wargames installed, Planes, tanks, tanks/blitz for i-pads and now the ships. i don't use the planes, and i find world of tanks too complicated, blitz is fun and iv'e been playing that for 6 months or more, and now world of warships which iv'e been playing for about 2 months, i think its great, the realism of the graphics, the ship models, the scenery etc, are all awesome.
I bought some premium ships because they are good for generating free XP, the Tirpitz, Atlanta, Atago, and Warspite. i have gamed up to tier 7 and have the Colorado, Fuso, Kongo as my ships i use most often.
Have to aggree with above comments, i watched many tutorials and you-tube vids, esp those by Jingles, who, being ex-royal navy himself , is a great person to give advice on all thing naval. total respect to Mr. Jingles. It helped a lot when i eventually started playing, sometimes i even hit what i'm shooting at!
