HE shell:3200dmg,velocity 890 m/s,chance of fire: 20%AP shell:8700dmg,velocity 890 m/s,normalization -8 degree The penetration damage is correct though. 4/9 penetrations are still 10k damage. Also, she isn't as fat as Tirpitz, and she has good concealment for a BB. 15.7 is the exact same as Pepsi.

Yeah, it looks really powerful. We will see. The weakness, by the way, is the performance against battleships. The shells are light and small and lose penetration fast over distances, so you won't get any plunging citadels and belt citadels only at short range. It's a powerful cruiser hunter with strong secondaries too, but it will not do well against the battleships at its own tier. Can bumrush them I guess. My guess would be citadels against battleships only <8-10km, not more, at least realistically under combat conditions.

Yes, pretty much this. All the German ships after the pocket BBs are very similar. Even the Hippers looked like small Bismarcks.

Like I said in the comments there, 射界:正负 150 度 means +-150° turret angles. Those are incredibly good angles. Nagato, which is generally considered to have good angles, only has 145°.

POLL: Which ships are you waiting for the most?
fnord_disc replied to 1MajorKoenig's topic in General Discussion
Carno translated it in one of the previous posts. I don't remember which one, sorry! The essence was basically that Spee will be implemented without the fake turret first and that they might adjust the model later since it makes no difference other than how it looks. -

We know for sure that the pocket BBs will come because WG waxed philosophical about a fake turret on the RU forums. Imo they have the markings of a premium ship anyway so... -
Replay... You are not giving us any proof and the people in this thread are all telling your that you're wrong.

The Spanish tree will be tiers 1-3 on the pan-Europe one. -
It's intended lol

Uh, but how does make any sense geometrically? "The system" is just a calculation. You could say, okay, it measures the arcseconds from the bow and not the citadel, and yeah, that would make a reaaaally small difference. But definitely not enough to be observable in-game. Like, the course of the ship is a tangent and the system measures a circle right? So there's a difference between reality and calculation there, and measuring from bow and not citadel would amplify this. But ships aren't large enough to really make this a big deal. I still don't understand what you mean when you say the system marks it from the bow. It shoots where I point it and the rest is a completely relative angle. The length of the ship makes no difference. Besides, even if it made a difference, that wouldn't explain why faster ships need to be led more that slower ships. The length of the ship is just an offset. It would be more or less the same for all ships.

If his sentence makes sense to you, then maybe you can explain it to me. I'll give you an example to make this easier. I shoot at a cruiser broadside on travelling at 35kn full speed and 90°. Flight time is 5s. Normally this would mean I have to lead 8.75 arcseconds. I put the 8.75 mark over his citadel area. I fire. The shells will hit between the rear turret and the stern. I don't understand what you mean with "marked for the tip". It's marked wherever I put the marker...?
-
That would mean I have to lead less, not more, than I currently do. Besides, it is accurate for 20kn at medium ranges, give or take. And if the game limits the zoom factor at short ranges for beauty reasons, then that should also mean I have to lead less, not more, since it corresponds to a wider scope arc. I can't think of any geometrical reason why the scope scaling begins to deteriorate above 30kn target speed.

13 vs 11 in random battle. Is this a bug?
fnord_disc replied to Nbdd0121's topic in General Discussion
It sometimes happens late at night when the matchmaker can't figure out something better. It used to be pretty common during CBT when there were fewer players. Nowadays it's quite rare. -
It's marked for wherever I point it. You can argue that it's measured for the tip instead of the center, but that devolves into an argument over the difference between tangent and circumference, and that's almost identical at long ranges. And at short ranges, the shells land so quickly that it makes no difference either. If you mean something else by "marked for the tip" then please explain.
-
I have pretty accurate experiences with 20kn ships, it's just the faster ones where it gets weird. My best guess is that the scope simply does not scale properly at short ranges. The shell impact is almost instant here and no other explanation makes sense.

This is correct. Two or three cruisers with staggered fighter planes essentially have a torpedo spotting range of 6 kilometers and also DD proximity spotting in that area. Fighter planes are incredibly powerful when used correctly.
-
In heavy weather you literally cannot see 8km, no matter how many scopes and eyes you have. Radar is a different matter. I've seen rainstorms where you have maybe 200m vision and the rest is nothingness.
-
German hydro is awesome. It's just situational, just as those 10 seconds of radar are.
-
It's been a while since I played it, but I had 40k dmg & 70% WR from 70 games. The low 24% hit rate suggests to me I was mostly playing it as a long range support ship. It's not a strong ship by any means, but it isn't awful either.
-
Don't ruin my Nagato build, please. Seriously.
-
This was brought up in other topics about her. She just carried the usual Type Zero floatplanes which could carry some light bombs and had a bunch of MGs but nothing amazing. They're the same kind of spotter planes as the other cruisers carry, just more of them.

One of the biggest drawbacks of the Myoko is the 45° forward/backward angle of the turrets, meaning you have to give a fair amount of broadside to fire them all and you can never autobounce. Being competitive with a Myoko, despite the awesome firepower it has, is not very difficult if you have better turret angles.

Yes, I can tell that from the stats. I meant that in terms of captain training etc. I don't really like having premium ships/vehicles from nations that I have otherwise nothing of. Anshan is the only exception because she generates so much free XP.
-
You don't even need to hit the citadel - a well-aimed salvo from 13-14km often does 15-20k damage because nothing overpenetrates.
