    STOP Henri IV nerf !

The sad fact is, most here are too willing to jump to conclusions without seeing why there are number of players who voiced their opposing views about the Henry nerf. Please for you own sake, jump in game. Load a test map. See how long she accelerates from 0 kts, and how long it takes for her to stop. Also, notice the over pronounced speed bleeds during any rudder turns. Now, go mount the Speed module (which will be changed soon) and see how much it helps, even with speed boost consumable active (clue: it doesn't) .

Do me a favour and send me that replay file. I'd like to see that game again. Interesting you managed to sort through your game files to find me lol.

Economy - How to get it?

Truth in a nutshell. Thanks for giving our new comers a well deserved, and helpful explanation. Instead of the usual diatribe of horse manure guised as a suggestion.

Economy - How to get it?

With all due respect, I will have to agree to disagree with your suggestions. Missouri? practically impossible to obtain now. So why include this as a solution? (also known as dangling a carrot) "Buy" tier 8 or 9. Essentially telling the player. If you want to earn more, buy more. (here's the crux) Also, tier 8 matchmaking is horrendous if you want consistent credit farming. Tier 10 Permanent camo. I would ask the OP to be real careful in investing in a 5000 doubloon camo (cheapest option) for a camo. You can get more for 5k doubloons. Tier 8, 9, 10 are not the optimal tiers to play for credit earning. I don't care what anyone would preach about it. The facts are there. They are inherently costly to start with, to offset their service costs/ammunition cost/consumables/etc are much much higher than Tier 7. Just one tier lower.

    STOP Henri IV nerf !

So a person who never played a ship is giving us beef. Nice one. Give her troll bracket armour, and give her turtleback, bring back her reload to previous speeds, and buff speed bleeds during turns, then maybe. A BB players can expect to see a closer Henry then her being practically forced to stay at ranges. Wait a minute. Don't Battleships have those rear map grids covered?

    STOP Henri IV nerf !

With all due respect. If wanting to "force players to pay more attention to their positioning and movement" surly changing individual ship characteristics will not be directly impactful. You can't expect to 'force players' to do anything in any environment. IF you guys truly wanted to 'force players' to be aware of their movements & positioning, take all the maps with land terrain out, and force ocean 24/7. At least this way, you guys will have forced the players to learn about the basics first. For what its worth. Henry speed jukes were not the issue. It was the graphical issue of her smoke stack not rendering properly to judge her speed was the main issue. I have no problem hitting, dishing out citadel hits against Henry when they are of sub 16km distances. Why? her smoke stack was visible. That is the cause that many didn't point out over two regions of servers.

    STOP Henri IV nerf !

It will change more than you imagined. Henry's main gimmick was her combination of speed, and her MBR consumable, and her guns. Take the main gimmick away, she is now just like IJN cruisers. Now that with the "nerf", she takes much longer to accelerate more than battleships, and bleeds speeds more in turns. In effect, she was not just 'nerfed' she was butchered. So good job WeeGee for taking counter ships against a Kron, another buff towards Russian bias tin foil hat rumour. Instead of tweaking the ship, they made her useless. She will collect dust, as other ships that were unnecessarily over nerfed.

Huge DD nerf might be coming for patch 0.9.1

One factor that we haven't checked. Torpedo speeds. I'll leave it there. This feels like on the onset that WG is preferring BB players more than his other kids (DD, CL, CA, CV) in the family.

    Fun vs Grind

Bouncing off what he said... I used to grind to a particular ship or tier. Now, this isn't my top priority anymore. With the RB, Tech Tree ships changes, I am no longer keeping a mental target in my mind to get to. As I know that I will be disappointed one way or another. Henry IV being one ship that I re-bought (I know, I know. Why would anyone sell ships; I needed credits to buy a ship for CB) after grinding credits for her. Now I regret choosing to re-buy her than Alsace (for same reason as Henry rebought).
  10. I'll be okay with higher reroll of daily containers. Asking for an actual physical device is like reaching for the sun as Icarus.

Economy - How to get it?

Lower the tiers, the less "service cost" it incurs from leaving the port (to battle). Cruisers, to destroyers have more consumables than battleships. So they will cost more to play (if you use Premium consumables). Carriers have the highest (tier for tier) cost of initial "service cost" right off the start. Something to keep in mind. The median sweet spot is a myth. Since, what varies is your performance per battle. There isn't a constant. If you have any Premium ships (with permanent camo; which gives you a discount of X amount of credit), those would be a good starting options. Personally, I used to run tier 7 Premium ships. Sims, being my previous primary credit earner (I had no Premium ships). Now that I have more Premium ships (with permanent camo), I cycle them through to not get bored. Other options are to play Operations. Of course, the result of the round would determine the credit worthiness even more than a loss.

    Resource containers giving non resources

To my experience, those crates never only strictly had resources only. They were always mixed with other in game 'goods' .

Why do CVs have only tier 4,6,8 and 10?

    A very observant optic there.

wtf is going on with the people on this game?

Skill based matchmaking was discussed to no end. Much like the CV Rework, Subs, etc. But when you noticed that the matchmaking is really a pattern. You can guess when to kite more, vs being aggressive with your games. You just have to accept that some games you will end up with below 42% players (averaged) vs 60% plus on other side. Those games, the rounds thankfully (and hopefully) end fast so you can the next match with more evened stats.
  15. Whilst I do agree with your statement. I also understand why WG chose this current direction. However, (a big however) they could have kept or had the illusion of "skill" intact during changes over the years. Problem is, the bottom line effected this out of anything. That being financial reasons. One could say that they took the easier road. Not a niche road that very few developers take with their games/sims. If they kept the current economy model (Doubloon exchanges into FXP), but without the draconian global changes (some warranted, some not as much). It would've felt somewhat reasonable. But then again, it's down to their direction of choice.

Returning CV player...wtf happend to CVs?

If that isn't a troll post...
  17. LowSpeedHighDrag

    CV Primary Objective

It is. However, WG doesn't give the CV players enough credits (vs damage model as it is now) to do this in game only. IF they did, the CV gameplay would change drastically.

Big nerf on FR top tier dds

Conjecture. Henry IV's nerf, is a slap in the cheek. They need to optimize the smoke stacks (not rendering properly in distance) on Henry IV instead of her ability to alter speeds. What about the players who grinded/bought/coal purchased the Speed Boost module. Yeah, so much for that wasted time/money.
  19. LowSpeedHighDrag

    Compass

You want to GAMMA to be on MAX ergo, right most position on slider. Increase GUI Contrast <- Enable. Beyond that, it's randomised due to the recent HDR effects added to the maps. You can't really get the constant optimal 'view', due to map glares. Something that I absolutely H A T E the most in this game for.
  20. LowSpeedHighDrag

    Cyclone graphics issues

Unfortunately, this is not a choice that you can decide upon. The weather changes in the game is randomised. But to be the bearer of bad news. Your iMac is nearly impossible to replace the GFX card. It is soldered on to motherboard/Logicboard. You could try the Thunderbolt option to add an External Graphics card, but you'd need another monitor I guess.

Submarines - Your damage record guess on public release ?

Make it fun to watch in testing. Advertise more, get traction. Bring it to Live servers. Sell Premium ships that seems "OP". "Take feedback from community", it's too "OP" etc, etc. Make a global game patch, then another, then another. 'Cause you can't "nerf" Premium ship stats. "OP" ships no longer feel "OP", but much worse. Their special qualities are nerfed via patches. Operation MoneyGrab III* complete. Onto next "idea". *Operation MoneyGrab I was a testing phase. MoneyGrab II was a success, and to repeat the working recipe.

CV Rework 2019 in graphs and where we are right now

CV's player numbers was not at "normal" figures as other ship classes for sure. However, it HAS attracted new players as well as the current. I never liked the RTS method, so I really never got into it. After the rework, I think that the CV controls are more in line with the other ships in tech tree. Ergo, I play it more, got better at it with time. Untrue. I know of few NA Clans (members) personally that actually boycotted, and left the game wholesale. True, some were die hard CV RTS players. It suited their style, type of genre. Like top down views of Starcraft, etc. Not for the likes of me though (refer to your point number 1). Wrong. They explicitly said that they wanted to bring in new players, and the current players to try the CV. You know what, they did. They have literally achieved that goal. You are looking at one, I played all lines of tech tree CVs on both of my accounts (NA & EU). WG succeeded in their goal in this aspect. "They didn't say become a CV main". There are many theories, but I will point out the few that I can think of. New players getting their feet wet with CV. CV lines start at Tier 4. Seal clubbers exist in Tier 4 world, CV is no exception. Less credit loss per battle. Tier 4 vs Tier 10, huge differences with "service cost".

CV Rework 2019 in graphs and where we are right now

I'll have to agree with that idea. Spending upgrades for AA build only does not guarantee 100% wipe out AA performance. However, it does inflict heavier damage across the flight squadron (green to red across the planes), but it won't shoot them down outright. That is why I don't spec for AA builds, unless for "fun" reasons. Throughout the CV rework, and the adjusted tweaks that followed. I still don't get why the Flood damage was changed to what it is today, or the Hakuryus' alternate Torpedo squadron was binned.
