    1701's Verdict On 0.8.0

Please, please, please remove all the CARRIERS (CVs) from the game. If you want to play with airplanes, then go play World of Warplanes, it is fun. Just don't ruin this game with all these planes. Make WOWS great again

    Suggestions thread

I would really like to have Submarines in the game, as fast as possible. Stop reworking CVs and focus on submarines and when they are ready replace the CVs with subs. I think subs would add so much more to the game play and they are more in line with the general game play of BBs, CAs and DDs. Much more than CVs ever will be (even after their suggested fix). Replace AA capacity with "Depth Charge" capacity and turn the AA into a form of secondary guns. Many of the in-game ships are from the pre-WW1 era and early WW2 (before planes and CVs had any impact on naval tactics). All in-game nations can field full lines of submarines, where as, only few nations have full CV lines.

Use naval ensigns to represent factions and tech trees

It is going to be hard to satisfy everyone I guess. Another HOT potato is going to be the German flag. Since many ship-designs at low tiers date back to the dreadnoughts era before and during WW1, I suggest using the Naval Jack of the German Empire to represent Germany. This flag was both used by the Imperial German Hochseeflotte and the German Kriegsmarine in the beginning of the Nazi-regime. German Naval Jack (1903-1919 and again from 1933-1935): On the WW1 ships you could have the white and black Imperial Reichskriegflagge, with the Naval Jack in upper corner (the correct historical version should not offend any). On the WW2 ships you could have the red Reichskriegflagge with an Iron-Cross instead of swaztika like in WoT and WoWP.

Use naval ensigns to represent factions and tech trees

Hollywood-movies (and others) have un-likeable historic flags in many movies even nazi-flags. The bad parts of our common history does not go away by banning them or censoring them out of existence. What would an American Civil War movie be like, without the correct Southern War-Flags. If people form the Asian-region hate the Japanese Naval Ensign so much, then I suggest they buy US, Soviet, German or UK ships instead. In World of Tanks even post-war West-German tank designs (such as the Leopard 1 and Spähpanzer 1C) are portrayed by the nazi-like "Reichkriegsflagge". If West-German tanks can be portrayed by the nazi-like "Reichkriegsflagge" in WoT, then Japanese WW2 ships should be able to fly their Naval Ensign as well. The "Rising Sun Flag" used by the Japanese SDF today is a bit different than the one used by the Imperial Japanese Navy in WW2 (number of stripes).

Why is the Japanese Naval Ensign censored, somebody better tell the Japanese that their "SDF" ships are flying a banned flag!!!
  7. I would like to have the factions in World of Warships represented by their respective naval ensigns, on the ships, in the tech trees and behind the portrays of commanders/ships. I think this would add even more flavor to this already awsome game. British ships, tech tree etc. should have the "Naval Jack" instead of the Union Jack. Soviet ships, tech tree etc. should have the correct Soviet naval ensign, whereas pre-revolutionary Imperial Russian ships should have the "St Andrews Cross Flag" like the Aurora already has. Japanese ships, tech tree etc. should have the "Rising Sun Flag", which is the correct Japanese naval ensign, which they still use on the ships of the Japanese self defense forces today. German ships, tech tree etc. should have the "Reichskriegs flagge" which is also used in both Wot and WoWP, older German ships from the 1st World War-era (like the Aurora) should fly the Imperial German Warflag. The American Naval Ensigns should remain as they are, as the "Stars and Stripes" were used by the USN before, during and after WW2. I'm a historic ship collector/builder and a sucker for details, so this would just increase the fun I already have with this game.
