    Ein Update, jetzt?

Geplant - 1,5 Stunden.

War angekündigt, so etwa 4-5 Tage her. Auch mit Patchnotes, alles wie immer. Die Zeiten auch. Aber natürlich auf dem russischen Forum, da muss man halt etwas tiefer buddeln und das auch lesen können

Blacklist sinnlos - Ingame Chat abschalten!

Also ich bin da zufrieden, in anderen Spielen ists viel viel schlimmer.

Battle load in time ! make it [edited] longer

A 2000$ PC (or higher) makes it easier to crank up settings and enjoy the game. But even now i drop FPS for no reason while streaming >.<

CPU load with increased max FPS.

Rewriting the engine for a game released in late 2015 is actually what i expect. Specially from a developer that has some successful games on the market. Its not easy, but worth it. People get more cores, newer systems, 120 & 144Hz monitors are cheap enough, 4K monitors getting cheaper every day. It should been already prepared to deal with all this stuff before alpha.

Well balance for a competetive game means only 1 thing - a simple, almost mirrored match so you get the maximum "skill" impact and less "overpowered/underpowered" things that people complain about. What do you think why CS:GO is so popular? Its almost mirrored, only maps and a couple of weapons gives you an "advantage" over the other team. You will see the shitstorm incoming when ranked go live.

I actually play a lot of competetive games. And when i play them, i find balancing the most important part. And balancing includes everything that is in the game. Ask people who play any successful esports game, what do they think about the balance here, you will get the same answer, mostly word for word, what i typed before.

That is a problem with matchmaking. If you think, +/- 2 tiers is fine, then you are drunk. Only the own tier should be matched together with nearly the same balance between classes (so what they did with carriers should affect everyone). If you want to play competetive, the game should be perfectly balanced. We already have the stone>scissorcs>paper system with 4 classes, thats enough to make games interesting. And a player base that big is more than enough to make the mm match only the same tier together. 30k people playing at the same time, other games would love so many people on a regional server, specially in the beta! And yes you can oneshot the higher tier with cita hits or burn them down quickly (cause fire dmg is %-based, so even a tier1 can burn down anything if he can set it on fire). But the huge disadvantage in skills, avaliable upgrades, scout planes whatever is a part of the problem too. For me there is only 1 way - single tier matches, at least in ranked games. Random games can have +/- 1 tier, that would make them balanced cause people will see 2 tiers difference in the worst case. Also forbid people to in divisons with a 3 tiers or greater difference, so a lowie would not be dragged into a t9 battle.

It is possible to fight even 1v2 with a battleship if you are good at positioning, keep your angle and shoot good enough (try to get turrets or go straight for cita). I feel fine with a BB when i`m 1-2 tiers lower, 3 tiers lower - in that match i just hunt cruisers, try to oneshot DD with HE if i have the opportunity and i dont show myself open field, where the t9 BB can hit me outside of my range. But this still should not happen, even if historically correct where old ships have met (and often enough not survived) newer ships/submarines with superior technology. A game, specially if aimed somehow at eSports or at least competetive gameplay (ranked inc!) should be balanced. We have 20k+ people on the server, so why the hell would we have any balancing issues. And a shitload of people already has 2-3x Tier X ships sailoring around oneshotting lower tiers. Its not even fun when Yamato is oneshotting stuff like a Pensacola - if he is unlucky, he will get some fires, but having "Jack of all trades" and other crap helps him to deal way better with cruisers than a t6 battleship can do. And on Kawachi.. Get free XP, jump over it. If you cant, get XP flags, wait for the XP multiplier bonus, let them come close and try to hit something so you get enough XP. If you see 1-2 cruisers - go straight into the close range (if USA cruisers) or stay on 7-8km range to dodge torps from IJN cruisers. Kawachi is still a BB and can 2hit almost any cruiser that will be matched against him, if shooting corretly.

CPU load with increased max FPS.

We are in the year 2015 if my calender is right. And we have DX12 incoming, and Vulkan. Why dont they try to upgrade the engine? That would not only reduce the CPU load, but also will increase the min. FPS on slower systems (not everyone can throw 1500$+ on a gaming rig to enjoy poorly optimized games).

High queue time is normal for many games. Try LoL, when you play at challenger/master rang. You will have 15-20min waiting time for a queue, then a couple of games dodged (another 5-10min), then the usual pick&ban phase for like 5min and 1min loading screen + 2min until the game action is actually goes on. I dont hear any complains about that, its how it works. I know that people prefer balancing over instant queue and WG has to do something - after release and the start of ranked gameplay, there will be a shitstorm...

CPU load with increased max FPS.

Just a simple menu and HUD scaling would solve the problem with DSR (and many people would actually use it, cause downsampling from 4K looks better than any AA. Yeah its hungry, but people with decent GPUs would love to use it. And like i said, the CPU should NEVER be an issue. Utilizing 4 threads, a well optimized engine (for example Cryengine, Frostbyte, Unreal whatever) would achieve nice fps without overloading the CPU. The CPU has NOTHING to do with FPS in almost every game. I can run games like World of Warcraft with 120 to 500FPS with the same CPU load, it just depends what is on the screen. Its not well optimized, dropping to 30FPS when a shitload of characters is visible on screen, but it never overloads the CPU. There is no chance that WoWs would actually use that much CPU power if well optimized. The game can utilize up to 8 threads on my rig, making any halfway modern AMD FX or Intel i7 CPU being able to run it with 60FPS. And it loves the clock. If i go back to stock 3,3GHz (and 3,6 max turbo), i will actually see some CPU limitations.

They have ranked games rolling out in a few days. So the alost perfect balance should be already here... Playing ranked with the current matchaker people will complain even more. In random battles we dont really care - yeah its harder to get your XP against higher tiers, but everything else is ok. And we already have a huge playerbase, queue time up to 5min is completly fine for a balanced match. I dont want a 5sec queue to see tier5 ships getting oneshotted by tier8 :-)
  14. cryonicangel

CPU load with increased max FPS.

Like i said, the max FPS should never be bound by the CPU, just by the GPU. And my overclocked 970 can push that game to 250-300fps cause there is nothing demanding. The fact that this game can take up to 60% of my cpu (making it the hardest game to drive that i ever touched, compared to tripleA-titles and well optimized games like Crysis) just indicates that a) something is wrong in the code at a deep level, mostly its the engine and b) the developer doesnt give a single flying f*** about optimization for the newest and fastest hardware avaliable.

Nothing is fine here. People should play with their own tier, also matched by winrate (!) and consider upgrades and the captain expirience (!!!). We have a huge playerbase already, with a shitload of people maxing out 2-3 classes, i see a lot of yamatos, zaos and other crap floating around oneshotting tier6-7 ships for no reason. Sure you can penetrate, but try to play something like Kawachi against Omaha. You will cry and burn and then just sink pretty fast. Without even coming close enough to shoot once at the guy.
