well, i doubt that the result would have been any different if triatk wouldve been in a t9 cv and uocat in a t8.. those two are top players who can carry random games on their own, specially vs no enemy divisions..

its very situational, no carrier from t8+ will say no to cruiser AA support in general, specially in first 5-8 min and specially with new MM. Some CV captains might disagree but going for enemy CV, specially at start, is still a valid strategy on occassion, because complete Air superiority still wins games. Even some very skilled captains can get surprised by a well played and well timed strike. Whether this strategy is applied is again very situational and intuitive tho. In general it depends alot on enemy CV setup and skill whether i ask for support. When i see no real threat, no need to bind one or more ships for defense purposes, they will be more useful being or doing else, supporting BB's or cap. Its about communications, when i need support i tell. When i dont need cover, suggest to cover BB's or not guard sth anymore i tell also. If that support (outside of divisions) is granted in that way or at all, is written on another paper tho. Going with the fleet blob is ofc best for AA purposes but a midway with crappy concealment gets spotted by first plane and then u can be sure that whole enemy fleet will target you when ur in shooting range, so its a double edged sword often and again depending on situation and cv itself. Skilled ppl with good driving skills (unlike me ) will get the most out of this. Usually cv will drive behind main fleet, go aggressive behind some rock/ice formation or stick way back to map border. Under the line, communicate with CV, judge MM and situation, and in time you get a feeling for what is necessary and helpful. Essentially the basics of Teamplay.

i dont understand that despite several bug reports during the test period, a completely bugged skill was introduced aka fighter barrage. The skill is working proper in 1 out of 5 cases at best, also once an enemy fighter engages those with activated skill close before the barage cone area, the result is that the fighter using the skill freezes in place and dies slow but surely unable to perform any further actions during that time. Also it seems that the barrage cone can have some delayed dmg dealing result on some planes long after they are out of the area or even respawned at carrier, usually when formenetioned bug with enemy fighters has occured before. Concerning the nerfs applied, why not use a straight approach and introduce different torp dmg values for the tier's. It still baffles me that a t6 torp bomber can in theory hit for as much damage as a t10 torp bomber. Instead of that approach, many other things were unnecessarily tweaked. Also the general reduction of fighter dmg (by 30-50%) was way overdone. For a more dynamic gameflow i suggest to up it again, not to old values, but +15-25% of current dmg, while reducing loadout accordingly. While i agree to a general need of adjusting the CV power in this case, increasing service time of ijn planes and arm time of torps will let them become more and more like US counterparts. We will reach a point where both lines have rather similar plane-characteristics, only difference is torp spread and planes per squad. Each nation should have unique characteristics, make planes of different nations more distinguishable, not more identical..

can confirm all forementioned bugs with Essex and Hakuryu Fighters. Also i noticed that enemy Planes close to starting edge of Barrage Cone remain untouched by the ability. Only Planes deep within the area are affected. Sorry but this ability has a lot of potential but in current state is bugged a lot..

Some WG Gamescom impressions. Since i am living only 30min away + having week off, i took the chance today and visited gamescom in order to get a firsthand picture of situation there. As many may know, those wows gamescom accounts are having some impact on gaming experience since few days (mainly not positive one). So my mission for today was: See whats going on there in general, get to play a bit, have some fun and hopefully deliver some decent performance to not make another Team lose due to a GC account ;-). Fast forward to WG Exhibition Stand. Place was pretty crowded, some WG Show was going on. Goodies were handed out to the crowd (Shirts mainly). Highlight was giveway of some Hardware, ppl went Piranha over the top goodie, a 600 EUR Graphic Card. There were looong waiting Lines for WoT (PC and Xbox) and WoWs. Saw plenty of WG Forum Staff there, they took their time to chat a bit with ppl waiting plus already handing out some bonus codes, not bad! After ~1.30h in waiting line, and watching show on parallel, it was my turn to game a bit. They had like 15 gaming pc's and by now we got the Info that there will be only like 10 minutes of total PC Time (quite a bummer, but understandable due to long waiting Times). Ships, Captain, Equips all was of free choice. Went with my trusted Hakuryu, Map Hotspot, had another CV in Team vs Haku and Essex. My own team already noticed by then it had 2 gc accounts in team, wasnt quite optimistic lol. Ended up with 3 Kills (including the enemy Essex) in 10 minutes. Team confidence went quite up after first 2 Kills. Then despite my persistence, i was gently dragged away from PC by Tuccy before more could be rek'd. cheers. Hope u guys made it. Saw firsthand Bismarck and Tirpitz Play, saw other Ships of German line in Account also, had no Time for check them tho.. In the End everybody got his goodie bag (inlcuding: more bonus codes for WoT/WoWs, a shirt, a cup, some gaming cards, some baking or ice cube forms ?! havent figured it out yet), met only fun and friendly people, Organisation was of high quality. Under the line, i can absolutely understand now that those short game-time with GC accounts cant result in Quality play. Basically ppl need already some minutes to chose a Ship from all tiers, have some weird gaming keyboard where even i had my problems find all keys asap, and finally only approx. 10 minutes to perform then ship is abandoned ingame. All while u have a mad crowd and Show in the back. yea right. Only viable Solution wud be, as i think Vuk already proposed, limit those accounts to t6 max or so, else u get afk t10. Still can recommend to check out the GC and WG Stand. Mission: success.
