    The above turned out to be an extremely boring and long battle. A lot of shots being fired every 30 seconds, no one really dying, just a really stupid battle in the end. Of course the key in such a battle is focus fire, take away the incoming damage by killing them off one by one through focused fire. But still, boring as fudge :) /Me

    I do not think it defeats the purpose, this database is being used by tools like "Matchaking monitor" and in that sense I guess it is accurate. I think it is best used to check on player skills rather than ship stats. However, I was also surprised to find this out, I guess we learn new stuff every day. /Me

    So, considering all the replies. Some players love it. I guess it comes down to player game style and player compatibility. I still know that a lot more players dislike the ship more than there are players that do like it. Regarding this :) Wilkatis, I guess you ment to use a word like "guess" or "assume" instead of "understand" since it gives the whole text a quite different meaning. I guess this because my wife is a latvian and she talks the same way. And it would make more sense if that is what you ment :) No offense intended. The quick answer is no, I did not play it with the 2 guns only, I can admit that I did not perform very good with it, except for some few rounds where I managed to do magical stuff with it. I remember some player accused me of using something called "War pack", still do not even know what that is :) Broadside, what is that? ;) just joking. Regarding this. Truth be told, I have not tried the Izumo in a very long time, mostly because I rarely play battleships and Izumo is the primary one that I really do not feel like playing. I want to explain why I started this thread. I usually play Wows with 1 friend, in a 2 player division and we do ok, we win more than we lose and all that. (He is way better than me in this game) Just recently he started grinding for the Yamato and it made me re-live the time when I grinded for it. And most of the time my friend just laughs at what he perceives as a whole lot of inaccuracy and inability to land damaging shots with it. My perception of the Izumo nowadays is based on meeting it on the battlefield. If I see an Izumo, I always feel that it is an easy target to deal with and so far I have never been wrong or perhaps not met a player that knows how to play it. But still. I want to thank you all for your input. Always nice to get additional angles and opinions. Enjoy your weekend!

    I can understand you and your opinion. Sadly even if there are 4 ARP versions and 2 Dragon versions of the Myoko, they are in fact not exactly like the IJN Myoko. They have differrent hull and tower options, even if the difference is not really much to speak of. The Takao on the other hand is pretty much exactly like the Atago. I do however agree with you that they could have allowed any Myoko or Atago version in this challenge. In my opinion all the ARP and Dragon ships just ruin the feeling of the game. They should not have been introduced into the game in the first place since this game is not an anime game but rather a game that is supposed to have a somewhat accepted relation to reality while still ment as entertainment. But hey, I don't play them :) And it is of course your choice if you want to play them. I have also noticed that the ARP ships are sometimes incorrectly displayed as myoko's in the player ship lists just like your above screenshot. /Me

    I think the log file should be in the game directory but I really do not know. However, the installer may use up space on your windows-drive and that may be the problem as it tries to unpack itself there. Just guessing though. /Me

    Hi Administrators of the test-runs. I wonder if you would not get more test-players if you rewarded the players differently for the time spent on the test-servers. I am suggesting the following. 1. Stop with the signals for rewards. 2. Give us all xp earned on the test servers as free xp on the live servers. (or atleast 50% of it) this way we will not feel like we are wasting time on the test server, time that could be used to do progress on the live servers. This way we would actually feel like we get rewarded :) Best Regards Me

    WG: Please Ban The Mod That Place 'X' on the Map

    I do not mind it being explicitly disallowed but the correct way to approach it is to make an official statement regarding this specific function. WG should take a stand and clearly tell the players that this function is or is not allowed. Just applying a ban without actually informing the players to stop using it first is really a bad way to treat those players that as far as I know thinks that this function is available for everyone. /Me

    I have shot countless enemies in out of my visual range, either by guesti-mating location from last known markers on the minimap (enable this if you have not) or by others spotting them and me shooting via the minimap. I have even managed to kill invisible destroyers because of how the smoke gets generated from their boat, is all about learning the technical details :) /Me

    Hi. You should probably do a full post with details right here, just like I did 2 posts up here on this page. I also wonder if you tried using the launcher to verify the game files. I ask because I think that you may actually risk causing damage to the game files every time you kill the game through the task manager. I hope it gets figured out. /Me

    1. Description Incorrect Torpedo ToolTip-Description in game on Gearing - Tier X Destroyer 2. Reproduction steps Play the Gearing and hold ctrl to get the mouse cursor, then move your cursor and hover over the torpedo indicator at the bottom center of your hud. 3. Result This will open up a tool tip/info box on your far right just above the minimap. The infobox shows the information for the YueYang - Tier X Destroyer's torpedoes instead of the Gearing Torpedoes 4. Expected result I will leave this field up to your imagination. 5. Technical details I have seen this problem since several patches back but not really had the energy to report it until now. I would like it if other players checked if they all have the same issue or if it is just a few players. Perhaps something got mixed up as you cloned the Gearing model to create thew new Yueyang model? :) Best Regards Me

    1. Description Massive performance issues I know a lot of players already reported this but I want to add my report to it. 2. Reproduction steps Play for a few matches 3. Result Getting stutter freeze lags performance drops like crazy. This all makes it really really hard to play the game after 4-5 matches. Trying to aim at enemy ships "Citadel"-areas when your aim jumps/stutters even if your pc-performance in general is close to top of the line. 4. Expected result I would expect the performance to stay the same. 5. Technical details hardware: I7 6700K, 32 GB DDR4, GTX 1080TI , M2-SSD, High HZ monitor.

    What the hell is going on?

    My dear Rookie. My guess is that you had a really bad day in this game when you wrote this. Everyone has them. 1. Regarding your front-citadel. It does happen, sometimes it is just one bullet that actually travels over the armor and ends up in your machinery as a result causing a so called "Citadel-hit" Sometimes 1 bullet actually hits dead on the front and manages to penetrate, it may be hard but it does happen. 2. Dynamic Range finder... No idea so not touching that one. (except, this is not the thread for bug reports, I suggest making a bug report with full details if you really think it is broken, along with screenshots and details) 3. Some destroyers have better armor than others. Bullets bounce more easily when you shoot at a greater distance since your bullets slow down as they travel. This can also cause lower damage dealt on actual impacts as a result (As far as I know) 4. Penetration If you get too many overpens, try shooting when the enemies are not at full broadside, or make sure you hit the dead center machinery and also make sure where the citadel actually is located on the enemy target (This can be found under "Armor" for each ship in your port, displayed in very nice colors and technical details) 5. Yes, no maybe. 6. The answer is most likely Potatoes. Regarding match making. Yes it is horrible at times, but it goes both ways. The match maker tries to make balanced teams in terms of tier, winrate, experience and ship type. Now consider this. For every match, there may be a difference of 2 tiers (Tier8, 9 and 10, a total of 3 different tiers ) and 4 ship types (CV, DD, CA BB) That means 12 factors just on the above factors. (3 tiers * 4 ship types = 12 variations) Now add Experience per player, winrate per player and divisions. It gets really complicated really fast to get good matches. Now on top of this, consider that only so many players actually search for a match at the same time as you are.. Sometimes matches can get really really odd and one-sided. But we all live on the average of all this in the long run. Oh, and on a side note. (And please note that I myself do not really lean one way or the other on this part) And this is something for you to hypothesize on. Should matches really be set up as balanced as possible? I mean, what would be the point of getting good if you could get just as many wins/losses by playing badly? Very good players would be punished for being good. Imagine if for example, ESL Games only let you play against players that were similar to you. What would be the point. Regarding Premium Premium gives you more XP and Credits per effort/skill put into the game. It also pays in part for the continued survival and development of this game. And finally, skill and all that. I do want to point out what Commander_Cornflakes already pointed out. And I mean no insults when saying this. But your statistics are available here: https://wows-numbers.com/player/548511649,Rooke_1704/ We can all see how you have played and what you contribute to your team. When your average win-rate is less than 50% that means you are most likely helping more to lose than to win. When your average experience per match is less than 1000 you are performing below what I think is the average player in terms of dealing damage/capping flags/defending flags/killing and/or other such things. I will tell you that I do not consider myself at all good at this game. I am average, I screw up a lot.     Hi RamboCras. Believe it or not but this question has been asked many times in the forums, even by me in the past. Like some players already wrote. You win by one of the following events taking place: 1. All enemy ships dies OR 2. One side reaches 1000 tickets OR 3. In base capture mode . a base get captured OR 4. This is the one you are looking for.. In every battle both teams starts with tickets, most of the time it is 300 / 300. These tickets are displayed in the center top part of your screen during a battle. When a ship on your team dies, your team looses tickets. Now take a look at this cropped out piece of the player list when you are in a game: For every Carrier lost, you lose 65 tickets, Battleships 60 tickets, Cruisers 50 tickets and destroyers 45 tickets. Now consider that your team is not capturing any flags, not getting kills or doing anything to get tickets. But instead they are exploding like cowards. For example, if your team lost 5 battleships , that means 300 tickets gone and your team suddenly has 0 tickets. This immediately means a loss for your team even if the other team did not reach 1000 tickets or the timer has not reached its end. I hope this clarifies this "Feature" to the point where you no longer wonder why :) Best Regards Me
  23. Hi Wargaming. I think I am not alone in using the "unsupported" replay-function in the game. My request/wish is as follows. 1. Give the replay function a bit more of your time, energy and focus to make it stable and possibly supportable. 2. Make the replay function part of the in game menu's 3. Give the replay-mode an OSD (On screen display with functions and key-bindings) for controlling the replay as if it was a free camera video player. Current issues: 1. Right now, it is extremely hard to find exact and accurate keys for working the replays, there are several different posts in the forums about what keys to use and truth be told, none of them seems very accurate when I try them in the actual replay. 2. The replay's bug out completely when one "fast forwards" or use other such "features", I have seen the enemies all suddenly being placed in the top north west corner instead of the actual locations, the esc-menu stops working and the only way to exit is to try to get to the task-manager and kill the process manually. Possible gains: 1. Players could more easily access the replays and use it to get better at the game. 2. As a result players could also more easily point out bugs or errors in the game when bug reporting. 3. I would become more happy (Very very important point ;) ) I hope other players will add to this post with ideas and requests on how to make this work and become a usable feature in the game. And to be honest, I do not even think this post needs votes for you to realize what a positive gain this would be to the game. Best Regards Me

    1. Description Invinsible targets 2. Reproduction steps I can not really tell you when, why or what caused it but I was playing my Füjin and was fighting a Gadjah Mada with main battery guns. 3. Result A lot of the bullets traveled right through the enemy ship and just landed in the water on the other side. The opposing player told me the same thing happened to him when he tried to shoot me. So the result was a very long time of shooting and nothing happening. 4. Expected result Well, I would expect the bullet impacts to register 5. Technical details I was using HE Bullets, the fight type was "Random".

    Still want the old "Always on top" division window back!. Really "#¤%" annoying to have to look for it and open it to see what ships the division mates have chosen. /Me
