Agreed. That was never in dispute. but i don't mind being the fall guy and speaking my mind when other people might be thinking it too. I felt i needed to say it. @CptMinia there really should be more verity of other nations ships within that line and regarding your comments: "harvest flooding and fire damage." No, in no way do i want to play another bloody ship that harvests bloody fire damage from a distance or throw torps at mental distances. The game is chocked with ships like these. I know, lets bring MORE of them into the game. But again, that's my opinion and i know many will like that kinda play. i just think it's adding onto the hell. lets just see, it's all in testing at the moment anyway.

Anyway..Back to the ships now..... They look like DD killers. Just want the games needs. And radar on DD is a no-no. 7.5 km radar is crazy to be honest, that will change no doubt before release.

It's nothing about hating against Swedish ships. It's the same as to why some people don't like a line of paper Russian ships. People prefer ships that were actually built. Like some people prefer ships from nations that actually took part in either war. More history and meaning behind it. It's nothing against Sweden per say.

I totally understand it's controversial but I felt it needed to be said. Apologises to you Swedish folk but personally, i would have created a line with more diversity at the least. Britain planed to invade on a strategist level. I.e to invade to stop Germany from obtain the Steel resources. Germany was going to invade totally and without giving anything back. If Germany had won, neutral or not, you would be speaking German at this moment just like i would be. Lucky they didn't ay? We have 4 Sweds in our clan who are fantastic lads and we have had many friendly discussions about all this on a friendly level. Like these: 1) Many that fought in the Finnish army were expats/immigrants in Sweden. 2) Many countries sent troops to the German Army (Spain, Ireland, Switzerland) and many many good countries took in Jews (just look at Turkey). Also got a Spanish chap so that was interesting (his Grandfather fought in the German Army on the Russian Front). However, Spain was a pro-Nazi supporter Even they agreed that both sides were played during WW2. But the past is the past and in not getting involved, your country was spared the horrors of war and economic harshness following it. But without the sacrifice of the above countries and those that made a choice, taking the burden on Sweden's behalf, you wouldn't be speaking Swedish. Denmark didn't, they made a choice. Norway didn't, they made a choice. The Dutch didn't, they made a choice. The Polish didn't, they made a choice. When left alone, a school boy bully will eventually take over the playground. Those that stay neutral ALWAYS get absorbed in the end by the strong. It's called Darwin's natural selection So..... This is why i personally believe that the line should be more diverse than it currently is and represented more by those countries.

And WG hasn't learnt from the YY and Black have they .....In fact they have, but they know for dame sure that people will be grinding this line with that range radar. 7.5 km is crazy good for CB's. More £££££££. Lets hope they change that for a start.

Just read it all. What... A..... Mess....... All of this, and i mean all of this could have been sorted many many and many moons ago. If WG had any vision what-so-ever they could have preventative all of this but their quest to sell ships and get people to grind has has shown no end. It basically shows a complete and utter lack of foresight in anything that they do gameplay wise. However, from a marketing point of view this is pure gold. PURE GOLD and they will rake in the money.

May I recommend -RM- lads. Ex CG player that left on good terms that has done a great job in making a very competitive focused Clan (Hurricane). If you want something of a more semi competitive nature then please feel free to join us, but -RM- would be more suited to your skills chaps.

"All Glory is fleeting" The Gearing and Des are old skool. Now they are still 2 good ships and quite versatile dont get me wrong, but their time in the sun is coming to a swift end. The release of the Republic and more importantly the KREM and the THUNDERER has made playing the Des very tricky, including the Yam of course. 2 Ships that can single handily wipe a Des out in one salvo. If i'm in my Krem? The first ones to get it are the Des. Hence why you are seeing alot more Grads and Moskva in CB's. I have taken 5-6 salvos on the nose from a Krem with little damage in a Grad. If that was a Des then the 2nd savlo would have killed me outright. Their Radar will always be an assest but teams are wanting more tanker cruisers and the Des with the 27mm isn't cutting the mustard. Who would have thought the Des would become too fragile. Shame. The Gearing was the staple diet of CB's. However, the YY, Z-52, Daring and now the Kleber has overtaken it. Anything to help you fight in caps (Hydro/Radar) or simply out gun (Kleber) is typically better. There are 2 good ships and it's all skill dependant of course, but there age is showing now. They can still do very if captained correctly but a false move can be deadly. To be brutally honest, if you want to go all the way I would pick 1) CV 2) Krem 3) Smol 4) Grad 5) Daring/Kleber 6) Ohio in no particulater order. We knew the devastation the Krem would cause when it first came out (we all called it, dumb WG). Straight into the training room with it and from that moment, we knew the Des was being further pushed back. Not used it once this CB (for the first time) and got in Typhoon quite comfortably. Part of that was wiping the faces off o enemy Des in 2 Krems Randoms will always be random (no pun intended) so you don't feel it as much and there is more selection of ships. But when it's competitive the Des is really showing it's age. It's all premium, reward, Russian with the odd top-of-the-range ships that WG wants you to grind (Kleber/Kleber) in the competitive scene. like i said "All Glory is fleeting"

I agree. It's a combination of all this that people have mentioned that makes the whole experience crap. Oh i can see why they have moved it to 8 v 8 and it's all about income. Keeping the star is about pure damage! What a god awful toxic atmosphere that creates within the game. I hate HATE seeing DD players play their B***** off only to be shafted by damage. My Div mate (count down) in his Shimmy played like a crazy man and practically won us the game. However, I in the Smol burned everything down to the ground and came top. Hummm, no justice. If that was a loss he would have lost the star and i would have kept it. He deserved it MUCH more than i did as i just brain dead HE spammed ships that had to think twice before to pushing (tut tut poor Kurf who pushed. dead) (poor Yam who camped, HE fire dead) Hence why bloody ships like the Smol, Conq and Yosh are top picks with HE damage farming parasites. And this is from someone who played the Smol to rank 10 (and the Krem). The aim of the game should be the win the match. Not to save a star and screw the team.

Spot on. The less people grind to rank 1, the less income WG receives. This is all about income remember chaps. For you to buy flags and ships.. Hence why i think they will change it soon. Either 1) the game-play or 2) the rewards. Now my opinion and knowing what the rest of my clan is doing regarding ranked isnt that much to go off, like 50 people, but i think this is wider and ranked is getting....Well crap and unrewarding. I've seen people with 400 + games to get to rank one and more. Crazy stuff.

But i enjoy this game for the Clan social aspect so Div mates in rank floats my boat. I personally find normal ranked a lonely stressful painful place for crazy people full of despair and toxicity. For me and 46 of my 50 Clan mates that are happy to stop at 10 and what would make then grind it more? Better rewards, plain and simple. I would even throw in "div" play but we already get that in Ranked sprint AND CB's so i understand the argument against it. That's just my personally preference. but yeah, rewards really need to be more than they are. For me to spend that much time on this game mode and receive that much stress, toxic chat and potential full burn-out by the end of it? Much better rewards and maybe some counselling thrown in.

Watch this space... You get crazy people playing like 150+, 200+ plus, some even 300+ trying to get to rank 1 with so little reward and too much stress. Rank is not about skill, it's purely about perseverance and being that person who keeps his stars. Such a shame because rank 1 used to really mean something. A badge of honour so to speak. Now it means nothing. Just someone who has repeatably pressed the "battle button". God that sounds negative but there you go. Ranked Sprint however is fun, short and less stressful. Spending something like 45 hours on ranked is, IMHO, crazy (subjective i know). However i am a family man with a busy job but each to his own i suppose, what ever float peoples boat.

From the perspective of a possible future team mate....Pick the Blyskawica. It's been powercreept over the years and it's smallest recent buff hasn't help what was wrong with it in the first place, but it's still a decent generalist. Just needs a dedicated captain. The Frie is not user friendly and it's lack of torps massively takes the sting out of it's threat when you push it. You push them knowing they have nothing to really kill you with quickly. It depends a lot on Damage Over Time so you simply don't give it time to do that. Bit like the Smol, however the smol has torps to surprise you with for pushing BB's and has a higher DPM. both ships are bottom third state wise. However the Blys has been out far far longer (so power creep) where the Fries hasn't which isn't encouraging as new ships normally do alright. The Frie hasn't really and i see no signs of it rising (i actually called it because it even came out). It's up to you at the end of the day and what you like in DD's. What kinda player you are. Don't worry too much about stats, just the ship you enjoy playing. I love the Sims so much, but it's smack bottom of the stats? Cant get my head around that. When subs come out then the Fries will be THE ship to go too so there is that. Personally if i had to pick? The Blysk every time simply to do with my DD play-style. But i wouldn't have either (hence why i don't) to be honest. At tier 9 there are better DD Silver ships which in this game is quite rare, but in your predicament, the Blysk would get my vote.

I really don't know how you chaps put up with the amount of crap in ranked below 10. 10 was and always has been enough for me and that was painful enough. I think WG will change ranked soon. Too many people not going for rank 1 now as the reward vs dedication is seriously not balanced.

IMHO: Kurf Yes but use spotter plane. Yam Donwnright Buff. Grov Value Concealment more so i don't use it. IMHO, If you wanna play gunboating get the Kleber, kaba and harra because they do it better. I also like the faster torp reload as it's the best all round DD there is. Hindy Split. Half of me likes it, half doesn't. I'm constantly switching from one to the other. i THINK i like concealment better as cruisers in general don't have that long burn duration like BB's and Supercrusiers do so...But eitherway to be honest. It does have that extra heal now so it can take fire damage anyway. Split. Des Since the Republic and even more the Krem, it's a given in CB. Far too many BBs that can one shoot it now on the nose. Anything to make that not happen is a bonus. It's already got a good reload and it's not a ship you use from max range anyway.Lol. Too many Des are dying needlessly now with all these Krems about (i have killed more Des in CB with the Krem more than anyother ship). Prob why Moslva and Grads are preferred. That and against Kleber spam. Republique Not for me, not worth it. It's a French BB that need to remain at a slight distance and the reload is already good (with AR and premium captain). Anything covered in 32mmm armour does. Moskva Hell yeah, upgrade.

Tier 9 game Friendly Hindy died within seconds at the start of the game. Basically he steamed into a cap and got pummelled by 3 salvos of BB's. Killed it out right basically. Me, "why are you pushing the cap at the start in a bloody Hindy, nice one, enjoy the port view again!!!!!" Reply "My game, my rules" Me "Muppet, complete and utter muppet, this is the quality of players now-a-day" ......... I got 10 day chat banded (still serving). The thing is i HAVE to tell people just how bad they are. Because i do not believe in this cotton wool "everyone is a winner" world people tend to live in. People need to be told (constructively) what is wrong. Maybe that's too old skool for some but there you go. They might not listen and live in blissful ignorance but i am compelled to. It's my game too and until recently, i didn't want muppets in high tiers! Don't get me wrong, It was all friendly words to those that were working their way up the tiers to about mid (up to tier 7) as people are still learning and finding their feet. I and many others always helped RST CV's find their feet in the "Captains cabin thread" in this forum and we all gave some good advice. Never once was it harsh advice, but friendly advice. But that was a while ago now and this game has changed in a shell of the former glory. Now no one wants to really learn or take pride in being good. I had little to no time or empathy for those that play tier 8+, premium players even worse as they brought there way there. They should know better. They got to that tier so they have to be good right, you know baptism of fire and passed with flying colours? *Sigh* Yeah right, None of that applies now. Not one single bit. WG doesn't treat (as stated) tier 10 any different than tier 3. So there is no "skill level" required for this game. It's all pointless. The WR and general damage output including PR is shocking at tier 10. Completely shocking. So back then i would be bothered seeing players like this at tier 10.......Now i don't even blink an eyelid, it's completely expected. We have to expect WG vision and tier 10 is no different to tier 5. It's all the same. So i now play lower tiers as they are more fun but still have the same skill level as those at the high tier. Funny old world.

Tier 3,4,5 or 10, doesn't matter. They are all the same skill wise.
