    The funny thing is.... People are spending stupid amounts of money on a pixel ship. You can buy 4 full games for the same price. And people wonder what is wrong with the world....So many mugs. LittleWhiteMouse summed it all up nicely regarding the PR.

    Not good at all. Prinz and Hippers are all the same. They get chewed up against secondary fire and Massa Main gun AP hurts, regardless of your angle (through your superstructure, deck, or just through your nose). You have a much better chance against Bis and Tirps as you CAN bounce their shells. if I recall, I think I managed to fire 2 AP salvos and the Secondary fire finished him off nicely.
  3. Pick a Massa and go easy mode: You should NEVER lose to a Tirps one vs one in a Massa, Ever. If you do then you are misplaying your ship, simple as that. Battleship 40 90% 1 619 0.85 64 015 0.83 1 Massachusetts 106 785 Massachusetts
  4. Oh so are you gonna steam into a cap using the widest possible route are you? So the BB sees you coming? Not the best tactic mate. There are maps that you can get within 3-4 km away without even being seen. So great DD territory. It's just that many I seen didn't take it and only worried about grabbing the caps anyway they could. Heavy armour is great but it also has a MASSIVE superstructure with 2 big centre compartments for 2 lots of fire...constantly. Those that Secondary spec it seldom take FP which is crazy in my books. oh...….So your using the Van? Not the best ship to play ranked with. Too little damage in a short space of time (low DPM) , again 8 guns, poor armour, low HP and god awful turret arcs. It's a medium range BB, not that suited to ranked. I would simply melt it in the Massa, nothing much to it if I was being brutally honest. And the game doesn't force you to do anything. 9/10 games wasn't about the points, I simply killed the enemy. Cap points really matter in Cruisers and DD's, not in BB really. It's all about killing the enemy. The DD and Cruisers ALWAYS got the caps first, even having 200 points up, but they all died in time. It was all just a matter of time and knowing not to flap. And yes the Van does need a slight buff, she's not a good ship IMHO compared to a lot of others. But well done ranking out....
  5. No crap. So they are less than 5km you say. Great and that changes what? Do you think I worried about the cap size in the Massa? No. They are all large enough to kill anything in it from many angles. You have even said it yourself, they are "frequently defeatable" so why do they need a Nerf? You normally nerf something that is over preforming. The Tirps really isn't one of those ships. Lack of guns (8) and piss poor pen is one reason you shouldn't. And no, it's no easy mode. It's easy mode for them if you play your ships like a muppet and tangle with them in the cap with torps and turtleback armour. Then yeah, it's easy for them with secondary's battering your ship. Pick your Enterprise and GG. It's really that simple. Your a good player so i'm surprised you think the Tirp needs a nerf...….
  6. No. no and no. You play YOUR ship to YOUR strengths. What you in? And no the Tirps doesn't need a nerf, really.
  7. Precisely. And the Main guns are lot more harder hitting going through the Tirp superstructure. Whilst the Tirps will bounce more often than not. Or (lol) just use HE. You will always win the HE battle with the Tirps. But AP does the job faster. Stay closeish to the cap so if he hides (because your killing him faster) you can finish him off. Most "brake ranks" out of frustration and then you have him. Trying to chase you down without much luck to the border. All you have to do is keep torp range away and simply whittle him down. It really is that simple. When he turns "bam" AP into the sides, 10,000 thank you very much and they ALWAYS turn at some point. Cruisers stood no chance what-so-ever. None. The whole thing highlighted just how BAD players are at tier 8 and just how powerful the majority of premium ships are compared to the silver ones. And the worst are the ones sailing Tirps. Those that play 100 games and buy a tier 8, it's madness. The 3 best players the whole night were all DD captains (57,58,61%) and they all died to the Massa guns.!!! They just made some really dumb moves at the wrong time. Hopefully WG will take this ranked and look into the interaction of the different classes.
  8. Ranked out within one night paying the Massa. Only 4 losses. Everyone only down to points and my fault (not being able to get back in the cap fast enough). Those I did lose they enemy were a lot worse off then me. To be honest, it was easy but fun. 3/4 were against Tirps and they were fish food. You should NEVER lose against a Tirp in a Massa.

    I'm talking about 54 games and 39% WR. One game the guy just sailed around the map.....That it is. Didn't fire didn't do anything.... Here is the pic (I know the map is small but that is how I roll): As you can see by squinting, the last location was C9... All the DD's I came up against played poorly (even a 57% WR chap). Simply don't be in a position where they can torp rush you. Muscle them out the caps one by one and wait (with spotter). One full salvo with HE and the secondary mop up the rest. In fact, just 3 hits and a seconds will kill it quicker then he can torps you. Every time the DD died I always thought "I wouldn't have done that". Cruisers stood no chance whatsoever and were simply too easy to kill. Didn't even have to think about those games. 3/4 of the games were against Trips and as you can see by the wins, easy to kill. You just don't play their game and get close. When they rush you, you kite and burn them to a crisp and AP that lovely superstructure. With heal, you will ALWAYS out last them. Any other BB's just died too quickly. KII, Monarch and Richy…. Anything with secondary will give you a massive advantage in these kinda games so the Bis, Tirps and Massa were always gonna be the BB's of choice. I didn't even get rid of IFHE (no point against BB's) even though I knew they would have been even more of a fire starter without it. Didn't wanna spend anything to redo the captains. It's all about being the better captain in this mode. Well, CV's aside that is. It shows just how strong some ships really are (PREMIUM ONES!!!!). If you really wanna win then either pick a CV period, a Massa for a BB or a French DD, Pins at a push. But to be honest, a lot of it is simple skill of the captain on this one, it's just those make it easier. Happy hunting.

    Well ranked out.. 36 wins to 4 losses. All in the Massa. The 4 I lost were all down to points, and totally my fault for simply not killing them fast enough and being too slow to get back in the caps. I lost 2 games the same way against the same ship (He hid the BB in the middle between islands and took me too long to go back after kiting). I never once got out-gunned. I Enjoyed it to be honest. I didn't come up against ONE CV, not one the whole night. And only bumped into cruisers and DD's at the last 3 ranked. The DD players were shocking, totally shocking . Summary 1) Dear god are there some bad players out there 2) You play a ship to their strength and you will win. Nearly all of my enemy didn't and lost. 3) People are buying ships like the Tirps with something like 100 games under their belts. Lol, jokers.

    Ranked sprint - "any non-cv" vs CV

    The amount of dead Tirps I have come across is staggering. Tirp after Tirp after Tirp…. Even the higher tier DD's I have came up across are mutants. This is no disrespect at all, but this really does highlight the low level most of the players are who play this game. Apologies if that sounds harsh but It really is the truth.

    At the end of the day it's ranked sprint so it's a bit of fun. All it takes is knowegede of your ship and the enemies. A Massa played well will hands down beat a Tirps. Simply angle away out of torp range and out damage him with main guns and burn him to death with secondries. All whilst his main guns bounce of your hull with only his secondries being any threat to your 32mm armour. It's not rocket science that having more and heaver guns will win in the end. In fact, simply use nothing but HE and you will crisp him to death. Not to mention your quicker heal and a lot more accurate secondries. But anyway, its CV that have and will rule the roost in sprint. DD second. Gonna wait until the CVs die down first then play. But it's suppose to be bit of fun so it's not all that bad, take it with a pinch of salt. Predictable, but light hearted fun. After the car crash of a ranked season and the worst PR disaster ever, it needs some light hearted fun so let it be just that.

    Could do. But pound for pound the fantasic is the better ship if those 2 meet. It's gonna be CV hell the first few days, so grab the fastest ship you have and ram torps down its neck. BBS are sitting ducks and cruisers are fodder from AP bombs.

    Fantastic is the one for this sessions sprint if you don't have a CV. Anything with breakneck speed will win against CVS and BB's. And with reload simply out guns other dds. Other ships rely on kinder class MM.

Your reply to my message regarding ranked sprints remember? #epicfailagain You must hate being the voice piece to WG. and that's no trolling, it's fact, so try not to ban me again extremely light finger moderators! Only the fantasic has a chance simply due to the pure speed to close the gap, nothing else (something which i also called).
  16. Massa need's IFHE, the bis/tirp doesn't. The bis/tips need's FP, the Massa doesn't. From someone who loves the Bis, the Massa is a better ship all in all. It lives longer from spam and torps (fast heal and better torp protection), hits harder (heaver guns with 6 guns up front) and has, for all its worth better AA. You hit a des (27mm) on the nose with the bis it will bounce if angled. You hit it with a Massa and you will cit it more often than not. Massa Secondaries have much better accuracy AND can hit things over hills. What the bis does have is hydro and turtle back. When the Massa would suffer mutipul cit's when broadside, the Bis won't. It will still take massive damage but not the killing blow the Massa would sustain. However, most of the time in this meta it's FIRE that takes ships like this down. Not a BB firing AP into its side's within 7km. Not having FP on German BBs with 2 massive centre sections is handicapping it from the get go. The Massa can heal it back quickly and deal with fire better. I would never take my Kurf in to battle without FP. Used to, but I learnt the hard way. Far far too many fire spammets now. Having 2-3 fires all the while isn't fun. What secondary fire does is allow you to hit 2 targets at the same time if the situation allows it. You just need the knowlege to know what guns to use for what (main guns for BB whilst your wittering away cruisers with your secondary fire). 32mm armour is getting old with ships like the Krem not caring about IFHE or not secondary anyway (only the 150mm on the Bis can do it anyway with IFHE against the Krem, Izumo, Yam). Not only that but there are few and far between times you get to use second's on BB's anyway in this meta. They are normally way behind enemy lines and by the time you get there, most of your second's have been stripped off by bloody HE spam. 1) Massa 2) Tirps 3) Bis The alpha torps makes the Tirp better when it goes your way. Providing the enemy BB is thick and stands it's ground waiting to be torped. Half the bis/tirp secondaries can ALREADY pen 32mm armour without IFHE anyway (150mm). 4 points just isn't worth it to get the other half to pen it. None of that matters anyway if you have a Yam or Krem (more often than not) in front of you anyway! The massa secondaries cant pen 32 mm full stop with or without IFHE..however, it has much better main guns and more of them which are better placed too.
  17. Maybe because i'm simply old skool and didn't grow up in this "lootbox" meta. All i did was put a cassette into the Commodore 64 and play a game. No add ones, no "extra power ups" to give me an advantage. Anything now is i need more, i need better. I NEED this ship to remain competitive. that ladies and gents, it what i HATE about this game now. It didn't used to be like this and i sung WOWS WG praises at one point remember.

  20. Doesn't make it any better. It was the same with the Grad and those that had that much steel. It was dominated by that the first season it reared it's ugly head and the flood gates opened. It makes it completely wrong. Same with the Smol and coal. or the somers? Again, those that do and those that don't. Sick and tiered of WG. How about rental Grads, Borg, Somers and Smol in CB next time WG? Hell will freeze over when that happens. Oh, was the Krem on rental this CB's? Cant remember now....
  21. Not the Grad, come on. That thing will always feature in CB's and has the last time. We ran 2-3 this time so 1 less than last. But the Des? People are getting fed up of evaporating in them from Yams, Krems and Republics in them. The first things to die were the Des in this seasons CB's, the Krem saw to that. Lot more HP, Better Armour, More encased citadel, Heaver hitting guns, more pen vs faster firing and concealment. This can kill a Smol in one savlo, just like the Grad. If i could take the Alska in CB i would, and this thing has 3 more guns....Oh with radar/Hyrdo and all that good CB stuff. 12 guns with 305 mm taking only a cruiser spot sounds bloody strong to me! "Those that do and those that don't" again. So you might not need it but it's too strong NOT to have.

    CV: Always blamed for the loss of a game

    Because they are pure damage farmers and anti team-play. That is the complete opposite to what they USED to be like. Very very very very few CV captains are team players. They think about one thing....Damage. it's not their fault, it's just the way WG made them. our BBs or the "fighter to help me cap" in DD's.....only farming damage. So because of that, they are hated. Not a single player in my Clan plays CV's on a regular basis. In fact, in the last 3 weeks, not one of my Div's mates have chosen a CV. Personally i couldn't careless about CV's as every single class has their own share of muppets. But it's frustrating seing a CV not be a team player and playing like crap, because they can effect the outcome of a battle if used correctly. Alot.

  24. So the question: Will the Puerto Rico be used for CB's? Do you need the ship to stay competitive (have the edge like the Smol and Grad)? With the accuracy buff, i can really see this thing all over CB's.
