The Beginning is a Very Delicate Time

You click battle and....Do what ever the hell you want. That isn't hard. No, this is a very casual gamer game. You don't have to think to sail a pixel ship and there is nothing to say you have to do anything. Just sail a ship and fire guns/rockets. Some people just wanna do that and couldn't careless about getting better. Please see CK2 or HoI4 for un-casual game where not knowing anything about anything wont get you far at all.

Precisely. Precisely. Bob on. This is here and now and this generation pays money. Money that we never would, could or had to spend. Just look at that Fortnite?

I know more about life than you and your siblings ever will. No disrespect intended. Ok pal, no worries. You have your own opinion just like mine. Sorry, you said something about knowing little about life? Bless him

He has a massive point and a moral point. but that does not factor into WG thinking. We have to come to peace with that or you will just frustrate yourself. But those players got through this apparent "crap" and hence why we have 45% WR at tier 10. But the system works for WG, else they wouldn't be doing it.

Because the next 4 will. And the books say it will.

The Beginning is a Very Delicate Time

New player: "Getting fed up of this bloody silver line ship, it's crap, i wanna win and have a ship that is strong" "can't stand this tier, i wanna skip and play a better tier" " getting fed up losing credits, new a premium ship or commo" They then go buy a Premium ship. Job done. Frustration = Money. Marketing/management classes? It's called the class of life.

No. Just look at current events? I rest my case. The bank books tells them that people who play this game are happy. People don't think, they just buy. They download the game and most within the first 100 games buy a premium ship. The more fustrated they are, the more likely they are to buy a premium ship. The PR event again confirms that as long as their are suckers, they will make money hand over fist.

The Beginning is a Very Delicate Time

Mate... The game is financially healthy. That is all WG cares about. The game isn't going to die. This game attracts the new breed of Computer gamers and WG know this. WG don't care about experiences, only the money that comes in. Just on another thread currently ongoing, some one had 100 games then brought 2 premiums ships. So that's £60 easy money to them. Just like that, a free to play game and they made £60. Do you think they care about how he feels? About his experiences? not a jot. So those 2 left the game, another 4 will step up. The wheel keeps on turning. We care because we are the guys working at the coal face, but those in the ivory towers and bean counters don't give a toss.
  12. Chaps.... Good luck for Clan Battles and hope to see many of you on the big blue.
  13. The best way to influence a game is div up. Pick one of each class that works well together and go for it. We try and tell the team to just leave us alone and let us do our thing on the side we spawn. You throw enough lemmings into a cap and something might happen. They might even cap the thing. I don't, if i can ever help it, play solo as you can NEVER rely on anyone to do what they are supposed to do.
  14. Can't add anything else to this to be honest ^^^ But like WG has already stated, tier's don't mean a thing regarding skill. That is why tier 9-10 is flooded with the worst players yet. It's, by far, the worst it has even been and it will get worse. Only a game yesterday, not one person had a WR over 50% apart from me (58%) in the tier 10 game in my team. We lost, it's expected before the game even begins. killing 3 ships in cold blood wasn't enough to stop our team dying like lemmings. And i mean blind crippled lemmings. How you lose 3 battleships within 5 minuets is beyond me. We had a Z-52 run from a shimmy the whole game and switch sides of the map, behind the fleet TWICE! You have no chance with 43% players like that in a DD (only 2 in the game)

    Georgia's sigma

The Ohio. Don't forget about the 22,000 more HP for a start. It's also a tier 10 ship and tier 9's always see tier 10's. Now i don't have either. So this is purely from what i have seen, been told by Clan mates and my own opinion. The way i look at it is when you have that perfect broadside, under 10km whatever and you have 2 more guns to use then that is when it counts. That extra Cit is the difference to killing the ship or waiting for another salvo which could be too late. And extra 22,000 HP, with heal, is massive. You cant snif that away. If i had the choice, the Ohio defo. Ohio U.S.A. 71 324 55.98 % 1.00 96 587 2 045 4.20 1.82 Georgia U.S.A. 688 551 52.56 % 0.86 74 427 1 615 3.36 1.37 See what the extra guns and HP does?
  16. I know, i'm just jesting mate

    STOP Henri IV nerf !

Kinda came to the same conclusion. Although we don't run a Henri anymore. In our set up, we either have a Smol or a Hindy, but not both at the same time in CB's. I played the Hindy for about 3 sessions when it first started, good to see the Hindy back to normal levels. But yeah, cyclones will make it very interesting this time. Hindy would be a good choice in a cyclone but you can't pick the map unfortunately. I think you will see quite a few of them in CB's. We are expecting it.
  18. In a CV? No surprise there then

    Georgia's sigma

Hummm. Have the Massa and the Thunderer, which is a combo of the 2. I also out-gun a Georgia in both the Massa and Thunderer so that doesn't fill me with confidence. Right now i see no reason to get the Georgia even though i know i would enjoy it. Maybe if i get the coal for it? Meh, maybe? Shame the Ohio is on the regrind, as that looks better, but there is no way i will do that crap.

    Thank you.

    Swedish Legendary captain!

I would out-right buy that captain with real money if i could have him!!!! It would fit perfectly with Random battles now-a-days.

    Smolensk Not OP

This thread still going? Of course it's too much. It always has been and wont change. Sure you can do this, and do that against it but fundamentally.....Having 19km range with fast firing guns and smoke, heal, defensive AA, over-pen city, it's small, accurate and with no-to-bad float shells and sigma? OF COURSE IT'S TOO MUCH. Not the mention the fear it has on enemy players that don't like being hit and constantly set on fire from something it cant see. 17 fires a game is not on. Only if you are a complete Muppet in it and just stays still and gets killed quick with low HP. But that is so to do with the player, not the ship it's self, just like potatoes in the Belfast dragging a OP ship down to subterranean leaves. What is funny is those that are saying it isnt are the same ones that also have the Smol as there one of their most avg Damage Cruisers they have, at any tier. Go figure. Also the same ones that said the Grad wasnt OP (2 years later and still look at the stats, ho ho ho) the Enterprise or the flint? I mean bloody hell WG didn't see the OP in the flint? "I know, lets increase it's range and give it better 130 mm guns. Yeah, that will work and call it the SMOL" They really need to nerf the range. Said it when it first came out and still bloody saying it now. You wanna spam HE? Yeah well now you gotta get closer to do it. 102,000 avg damage per game for a Light Cruiser? That is mental. I know ship classes don't mean squat in this game but Light Cruisers farming BB's and heavy cruisers is just comical. Not to mention when you 2 salvo a DD Again, nerf the range. But their is no point in calling anyone to this forum as they don't really care or listen to what we have to say. You learn that after 4-5 years.

    No More MOGADOR?No KLEBER?

Correct. They did need a nerf, some of the stuff they could do AND get away with was funny, but yeah. Very strong in Clans and we had a deadly combo going on. But after training battles, the Klebers are not what they once was. Spotted far too soon and even with speed boost they cant make up the distance fast enough without getting incoming fire. In a competitive scene, that can make the difference. They could ambush things and that was it's play style just as @Lord_of_Tali states. The torp nerf has reduced it's kiting ability and it's much more of a gamble. Everyone in the clan seen this coming so it wasn't anything out of the blue. But.....Same old WG nerf hammer which has now demoted it to another long range HE spammer like the Kaba (slow clap). They have lost it's flavour. You can now dance around a kleber and not be spotted once. The time it take for it to spot you and run you down, your deep within your own lines and the Kleber is in DS. Randoms is more "random" and you can do crazy things and get away with it (potatoes). But CB's? Defo not against a team that knows anything about the game. So not bad, COULD be fun and quite fun up to tier 8. That is really not selling it mate. No, i think i will pass on the line. I have at least 2 DD's on the other lines which i consider out right better at every tier.
  24. Redcap375

    Italian cruiser Trento wye?

Having ground the line now.... Skip the whole line to tier 8. Up to tier 8 is the worst line i have played in this game. Totally not worth grinding as there are so many better ships at each tier. The Venezia, however, is the end to that early nightmare and is a very good ship, but i know that WG WILL nerf it. Only a matter of time. All 3 (Amalfi, Brindisi and the Venezia) can be keepers and understandably so. However, i have only kept one, the Venezia. Normally i keep 1,2 or even 3 but one ship with SAP is enough for me. The Venezia has more guns, auto bounce and better armour then the Brindisi so to me, there was no point in keeping it. Plus i love the Donky at tier 9 But tier 8, 9 and 10 are good ships.
