All I know is this... I have killed them one vs one with a Lightning, Kidd, Akizuki and Loyang. They are such poor DD fighters with that reload, pen and Deep water torps. When I see one in the enemy team, I make his/her life miserable. Even with their decent HP pool, it's still too easy to kill them. However, that is the price they pay for having deep water torps, improved AP bounce and defensive AA. Something had to give. They have to spend too many captain points on skills that other DDs don't, like IFHE. I hate it when it forces you to do that and an auto no no for me. This ship isn't meant to take on DDs in any form and any buffs in those areas starts to creep it up to too strong. Hence why they nerfed it in testing, because that thing would have been deadly and rightly so. But right now, the Akizuki is simply better and can deal with everything. With all the consumables, something has to give and its the DD vs DD guns and DD killing potential. You need balance and not another stronger than the rest premium. Its a BB killer at heart as it's got great fire potential and DW torps. It's another damage over time ship.

Oh.....And before this thread gets closed for trolling (should have seen it coming): "Oh my stats are not good, when I am the only ship pushing a side, watching cruisers and BBs hide 10km behind me? So while I take punishment for 4-6 mins from 3 ships they are sniping as maxrange. Yeah, those times are over unless division, i will become farming dmg cancer doing nothing but letting others take the dmg." ^^^ From the horses mouth (posted back in 2016). So here you are doing the exact same things you were once complaining about, oh the irony. And just gonna leave this little gem. Hummm, I could have sworn this guy was talking about toxic comments, leaving it till after the game and all that Jazz? Apologies for the visible swear words. I think you might wanna have fewer "drunken" nights, not great for the liver. How did I not see that troll coming, losing it. -

You've just summed it up nicely. But don't expect other people to like you playing "poorly". Bit of advice and I don't want to patronise you here (take it as you wish), but farming damage doesn't win games and people want to win games. And yes i AM drawing conclusions after 6 years of experience, as i too used to do it in many ships in the past. Kurf is a Perfect example and glad you brought it up . I can clearly see you "get involved" more and thus, both your WR and PR is ALOT better. You farm damage in the Thunderer and HE is your only weapon (can see by the frags) and you have already explained why your Yam is abysmal. If you don't tank at some point in the game, some poor git cruiser will. Nor do you steam in like you have been doing (as you stated) with a secondary spec Yam! Find the balance and take hits and support as well as delete ships. You have not found that balance and it's clearly viable in your stats. You've gone from one extreme to the other. Red -

Just look at your own stats in the Yam. 699 games you've had in it. Your damage is alright but your WG is bad and your PR is bad/avg. So...What conclusion CAN you draw from that? Also take a look at your only other tier 10 BB, Thunderer. Noticed a pattern? -
Full secondary build can't even hit an island anymore

Most I go for now on secondary builds is extending the range with the 3 point captain skill and secondary mod. That is it. Even that is SUBPAR. Nerfed and really not worth spec into anymore. Secondaries have always been hanging on a thread (meta), but it's sucked the life out of it now. Have to give WWAAAYYY too much for making it secondary spec and it's still less than it used to be. Take the Massa and Georgia..They were great at pinpointing DD's that got too close but now....Shots go everywhere. Only useful now on starting fires on large crusiers and BB's but that's all down to RNG. So....Tank your rides lads. You need it for all this STUPID HE SPAMMING Conqs and Thunderers now infesting the server with deadeye. When the top clans are doing it, it really sets a good example....not. However, those of you who are good DD players take advantage of this BB infestation. Due to the shear distance of cruisers and back line camping BB's, killing the enemy DD one vs one has never been so balanced. If you kill him, you've won the game. Even though DD hunting also got nerfed too. Or you can join the new wave of torp boats sitting back just as far as the CV does...Wow, is games is at it's all time low at the moment. -
Chaps.. As the title suggests, which one do you equip on your BB's most of the time? Now I know there can be a lot of "depends", like which attack skill you used, how you play your ship, which range ect. but which one do you value more on a generic BB (say a NC). Being set on fire less or the extra heal with faster repair reload... Or do you equip BOTH and skimp somewhere else like an attack skill or Concealment? Red

Nothing is going wrong for them. They are still making money hand over fist, buying up all of the remining Cyprus property and land (like all Russians do regarding "Property rights" on the island) and owns it's largest bank. So no, nothing is going wrong for them. In fact, everything is going right for them. Put simply. They are squeezing every penny out of suckers until the game caves in, all whilst reinvesting in land and property. They know games don't last forever... As we all know and have always said, this very forum accounts for such a small grain of sand of the player base it's not even on their radar..

WOWS have completely lost contact with what each ship class was designed to do in the first place. That happened about 4 years ago and have got worse ever since. The real losers in this rework are DD's....Every bit of support which they had left, which after so many years have evaporated is now practically gone. Ships can hit them better, CV's are in most games now (not like the other way round long ago) and their teeth have been ripped out, having to give something up to in this rework. Nothing is worse than being in a DD and looking behind you and seeing....Nothing. Not one ship, not even a radar cruiser as he now cowers in fear spamming from a distance. Afraid of being hit from a dead eye legendry mod Yam or a Deadeye thunderer. There is little incentive to grab the caps as there is no REWARD to do so. The team normally dies before the time is up anyway as muppets throw away their ships like crippled lemmings. Now i can still do fine as i'm not a complete muppet in DD's, but new DD players will not wanna do ANYTHING around those caps now. DD one vs one's have even been nerfed! So you will now see an increase in bloody torp spamming DD's that do nothing but farm damage. Spotting can take a hike in their books, it's all about me, me and me. So BB's are now at the back sniping away, cruisers are giving up concealment to spam at the back (for reload) and now DD's will spam torps at the back. I ask, what is the point of having caps! So when you ping a DD to do something on the map, don't expect him to do anything if you lot are 15 km behind him! One of my Clan forum members put this on our Discord and I have to share it as this commander rework could have been great: "I think personally WG had a chance to make really interesting skills like for example DDs could have a skill where they cap their reload of all main armaments decrease or an increased DPM while they are capping. This would encourage capping. Encourage radar DDs with some buffs, torp reload DDs with no smoke with some buff. Encourage radar minos. Give deadeye to cruisers with 190mm and above not spammers cruisers or BBs. Better heal or damage con skills to secondary BBs and cruisers especially with heavy AP like Russian heavy cruisers. Give buff in reload to BBs every million potential damage. This way BBs can be rewarded for tanking and using their HP smartly. Nerf CVs plane spotting if they take tanky planes. 25% reduction to AA flak is plain stupid especially with FDR in game. I'm no game designer but I came up with these. I'm sure community and devs can come up with better ideas. Balance those interesting skills. Bring back dead ships, their different build and playstyle. Instead WG saw spreadsheet as usual and made retarded skills. They decided to give this noob of a player base ever more noob skills. WELL F+++++ DONE!" This ^^^^ These are simple comments from a good player and a good lad. This alone, this simple mentality would have sorted a lot of what's wrong about this game out. THAT is how out-of-touch WG are and have been for ages. Money talk, gameplay walks. but alas, none of this matters really as the good will simply get better (with the skills) and the bad, which is astronomically eye watering high, will get even worse. The amount of Red which MM shows me before the games, in tier 9-10 games is simply astounding. The game is over before it has even started and 9/10 i'm right. Only when you personally have to kill all the good players on the enemy team can you drag some of these players to a win and even then it's a race against time before your team folds like an camping chair.

So nice to be back after being forced to take a year off the forum . Glad to see WOWS becoming a great game again. In a nutshell, this commander rework is 20% good and 80% Bad IMHO. As for deadeye? First game in Conq (as I knew this was too good to miss with this skill). Yeah...I just love being able to delete cruisers even more now, pin points DD when they are spotted and burn everything down from a lovely concealment range. Thunderer, Bourg, Krem, Yam you name it, slap this on and it's salty tears. On the flip side you now have back line window lickers that havnt got a clue how to sail a ship, never mind hit anything with it. That's providing they have the 10+ captain skills at tier 10 as many of them Pay-to-grind. Most of them will pick useless skills such as AA anyway...Bless. With the Nerf to Brawlers (both in skills and meta), people have camped even more, if that was possible.

How many of you use Mods or Programs In WOWS to your advantage?

Chaps... I have never really had a true understanding of Mods and programs that players in this game use. Call me old fashioned. Aslain i think they call it and things like that. My basic understanding of these is that most can give a player "an edge" in any given game. However small that may be. Something which the average Joe doesn't have when they first install the game. This can range from being able to see all the information at once (both in game and before) to knowing just how angled the opponent is. Aiming markers is also one i believe? I know there are many more but never really explored more than basic courtesy. The reason for the poll is to gauge just how many people use them and what type of player they attact. I am generally interested in the connection between those that do and those that don't and how that effects personal stats. Basically, the question in the back of my mind, is it fair for one person to use it and the other doesn't? Now i know ANYONE can download these and can say "well anyone can, so i do" but does that make it fair if the game doesn't provide with all of them from the start. Do you see what i'm getting at chaps? I wonder if the top clans with the top players are heavy users on these mods? That could be complete tosh tho. I am truly not bothered by these mods and it has nothing to do with "they do and i don't" syndrome as i am completely content . But it could go some way on confirming my old belief that i have regarding high stats and it's connection with mods. Information is priceless and those with the more information have an advantage. Now WR means quite little in the grand scheme of things with so my variables effecting it (Seal clubbing, OP ships, Div's, Clan type) but does the Mods go some way to improve them. I personally believe they do. I know you don't have to be honest in the poll if you don't want to (for whatever reason, people get defensive with things like this) but TRY to be honest. I know there are a few choices but i wanted to narrow it down into groups for a better understanding. People can also comment WHY you use or don't use them including which ones if you wish to explain further. ........ I'll start by saying that i have never used any of them. My personal belief it that it simply isn't fair for me to use them when i know others don't. That's just my own personal believe. -

A human being Too many people buying cheap (for GW that is) boxes and boxes of AM conscripts and chinning off expensive tanks. "We will see to that" they nerf conscripts and make tanks very good again. People are now buying tanks upon tanks. Same marketing strategy. This isn't a new thing.

Spot on. Hence why there are no tutorials, said it all along. As well as what ships people are and aren't playing or have too many of. They then address that accordingly. Hence why you see constant nerfs/buff to ships that don't need it. Games Workshop employ the same strategy in war-gaming. All to get us to grind a line and in time, spend money.

You enjoy it, I enjoy it. But that does not mean something is morally healthy. Don't take things on face value. What you see is a navy game that is mostly enjoyable with fantastic ship designs and good graphics. It's great socially and It's the only game of it's type on the market. On the surface it's good right? I mean I still play it don't I? However, underneath this shinny veneer tooth is a rotten core. WG dodge tax, they employ underhand business/philological tactics, they lie constantly, they have nothing but contempt for the play base, they constantly mug off testers, they sell gambling boxes, they don't listen to even some of their most die-hard employees and they balance ships on "money spreadsheets". Just a FEW of the many things WG have done and will continue to do. Hence why the whole system is not healthy and i am under no illusion. But some people can't or simply don't wanna see anything beyond their noses and just wanna play this game and sail lovely pixel ships. Fine, they can live in blissful ignorance and many people do, it's the easier path at the end of the day as life it hard enough. I will continue to play this game as i enjoy it enough to carry on (clan stuff), but i haven't spend a single penny on it for a while as i don't believe in what i am spending the money on. I understand the throw-away culture now so i can understand many that don't. They buy the ship without thinking about the over-all picture, like a blood diamond. WG goal is money. Fun and balance can take a hike and they know it's working and it will continue to do so. I accept that, many can't and wont.

The game is not healthy, but the money is. Money wins everytime. I hate it mate, you hate it, new players hate it but until people wake up, it's not gonna change.

And those that know anything about Cyprus and Russia (Russians practically built half if not nearly all of the holiday resorts and hotels) you can see why. The Russian mafia is VERY strong in Cypurus. If you see a black Mercedes driving by a white chap, 9/10 he's Russian mafia. Most if not all the bouncers in Paphos and Limassol and are Russian. It's a Russian tax haven. I know because i was involved with a number of "meetings" with the Sovereign Base Area Police and spent 2 years there. You would not believe the amount of Spies that are currently active on that small island, from all sides. Sorry if that's going off topic but yeah.
