    HSF Harekaze I, worth it?

Not many of the prey WG go for anyway. Those with money but no sence or care about what they are spending it on (the terrible money grabbing history of WG). If people really cared about stuff like that, this game would have went long long a go. However, it's still going strong which means people are generally happy to live in blissful ignorance. Very much like russian society does.

    HSF Harekaze I, worth it?

They can change premium ships whenever they want.... So screw that. In the hands of a good player the original Harekaze is good/very good. But if that good player comes across and other good player in something like a kidd, Cossack ect it's toast. I play RPF on most DDs so you also find them, normally on the flanks somewhere. You have to know how to play it or you will get hounded down. But in the right hands its a pain against large ships.
  3. Bumped into 4 last night. Skip bomb hit my DD and did a fair bit of damage as I had no idea how they worked, so didn't expect it. But after that, I easily dodged them all both In crusiers and DDs. What I've seen so far is pretty poor. Bottom 1/4 of tier 10 CVs, slightly better than the audacious as the skip bombs CAN hurt When they hit. IMHO not worth the coal.
  4. It will die to death the dockyard. People will get fed up of it and it's happening now. Anchorage, Odin and Hizen. All a big bag of "meh". I haven't even touched my Anchorage after grinding it for free.

Lets break down the new T10 Elbing

Highest HP until you factor in it hasn't got a heal. It's not a knife fighter, its too slow and sluggish for that. Hydro makes or brakes it but to use it well takes more skill that the average player in this game. With the old 150 mm you had a bigger alpha hit, flatter arcs (easy to hit things at range), better AP pen against cruisers which was priceless. Fire RNG is debatable. Lighting, Kid, Akizuki, Cossack...All better at doing the new Z23 job. Its now going to sink into another forgettable ship. IMHO, but enjoy the change mate . I will remember it as it was and move on.

Lets break down the new T10 Elbing

Sold the z23, such a shame. Its now lost its flavour and other DDs can do its job better. What you make up on DPM you now lose on HE and AP pen.

    Whats your favourite Port?

Hawaii since ever. Never changed my port. It's the chilled music, especially when going into the armoury when the music slows down and the singer is more pronounced.

    Italian Battleship Branch Review

You read him like a book (like I did). Gets old dont it. CC is a pile of poo. Have fun burning to death whilst trying to get in range to do anythinng , tapping your fingers waiting to fire (whilst being burned to death) and when you do, missing.
  9. Solid ship. But don't spend a penny and get the Vlad instead.
  10. Same. Accuracy is the way to go on that 6th slot. Fewer guns means you gotta hit and make them count. The biggesst thing (nerf) for the Georgia and Mass was the DD killing potential due to the pre nerf accuracy. It could reliably hit DDs whilst you was dealing with something else. It was great at it. Due to the change it is now less reliable in doing that and it's secondary focus has been switched to starting fires on bigger ships (due to the lack non DD pen) . And that is a RNG game of dice, hardly reliable. Useful? Yes. Required? No.
  11. Then that's cool for you (as the commander) but that might not be cool for everyone else. You brought the topic up mate? The 2 could be connected. Don't get cheesed if the thread doesn't go the way you want I'm just giving you a reason why these players left. And leave all the recruting boards and websites out of general threads, you have a clan recruitment channel for that. Anyway good job with the seasion regardless.
  12. There are always 2 sides of a story. We have heard yours but he isn't here for us to hear him. Be careful, if I recall you personally have had your own "problems" regarding getting reported by other teams for misbavaour in chat. I don't need to go on, this isn't the place for it but when you talk about rudeness, be careful. But maybe things like that might have made him move on? Or he simply wanted to start something new? He will find out how hard it can be to lead a clan.

SO who is getting the Vampire II?

RB? Not a chance. Never touching that with a barge pole. XP, Coal or Steel? Yeah, sure.

How long can the rot continue?

Don't forget their buying up of Cyprus property too. Half of Cyprus is build on Russian money. Trust me, I know. WG just wanna have a piece. Not that much to do with tax dodging (but there is a factor in that) but more about not being answerable to the Russian Government. Which no "straight" company in the worlds wants to be. In case people don't know, Russian is slightly corrupt, just a wee tad.

    This...
  17. First and foremost well done for ending up in Hurricane . Massive achievement for 1701. It's nice to see Clans like yourself really going all out (I mean 228 is a lot of games). However....It is YOUR choice as a clan. What do you want to achieve and how much can you push the current players you have? I fear that you might have pushed the horse until it's blown out? Your a typhoon type clan going broke, all out, you can see by the shear amount of games you have had. That is a change of pace and some of your die hard (veteran) players might NOT want that. Well they might want the Hurricane tag but not all the blood, sweat and tears that could come with it. And more than that, keeping it.. Each clan has a reason for being and what type of players they want/looking for. Not all clans are the same and all "visions" differ. You attract pure casual players then don't expect to be competitive and treat any clan tag as a bonus. You attract semi competitive players then expect a Storm/Typhoon type finish, but be very glad if you get Hurricane. You attract full on competitive players then expect a hurricane finish but you need to stay there, else the players will move one. Each "type" of player comes with different ideas, wants, needs and problems. That has to be compatible with the clans "vision". If they aren't then you end up pushing some too far and some not enough. I fear that you might be crossing the boundaries some what on the former? So @Graeme17O1, ask yourself as the Commanding Officer....."what do I want this clan to be". Never loose your vision. Take us, Company Gamers, we have always been and always will be a Semi-Competitive clan that has always punched above our weight. Constant typhoon clan. We have know that since 2016 and that has never changed, it's who we are. We have always tried to recruit active players that enjoy the social aspect of this game. We have the players to achieve Hurricane but it's never been the complete goal. The goal is to have fun and be socially active. We have been simply lucky to have kept some great players that wanted to stay because of the various reasons. Those that wanted that super competitive edge simply left with a handshake, with many going to TTT, HOME, OP and clans like that. What they wanted wasn't compatible with our clans vision. We/I encouraged them join these clans and in doing so, they have a good relationship with us. What goes around comes around. Having fun and being super competitive is a very hard balance. Now you have achieve Hurricane and doing all these competitive scenes, is it want your current players want? If it isn't and you want to keep that competitive edge then, mate, be prepared to make some changes to your clan including your members. I have seen it all and experienced it all. And what have I learnt? It's mostly down to lack of a common vision. 1) A Commander(s) who expects more than the guys can do and pushes them too hard and 2) The guys that want more out of the Commander and clan. You might have achieved that gold start standard but at what cost and was it worth it? You lost a good friend...How much is a good friend worth to you. BOTH parties need to know what your clans goals and aspirations are. My usual pep talk before clans "Lads, another season and good luck both teams". Aries (Alpha) typhoon is the goal lad/girls but you have what it takes to get into Hurricane and Vulcan (Bravo) Storm but you have the potential to get into typhoon." If either one of those teams achieve more than the original goal set by the Commander then GREAT! But....We will still be giving the same kind of talk the following season. We are NOT a constant Hurricane clan and DO NOT want all the extra competitive things that come with it, including the time you simply have to give. Hey, I have a job, wife and 2 kids in RL! Hope it helps and if you ever wanna chat, give me a bell mate. I think you have done a fanatic job by-the-way with 1701. Quite a Humble clan (if you don't mind me saying) achieving Hurricane. I think this season has really mixed things like I said it would with no CV and restrictions on ships. But this one isn't on WG, It's on you as the Commander and how much time (and players) you are willing to sacrifice to stay super comp. Clans visions can change over time, but that doesn't mean your current players will too to accommodate that.
  18. This needs pinning forever! Well said and spot on Euro mate. I still play the game but havnt spent a penny on it for a long time. Its the social aspect I enjoy, guys like Euro for instance, without that I would have left long long long ago. So play it, don't spend on it.
  19. So you are going from one of the best CB's ever to tier 10 with a CV. *Slow clap* I mean, wow. This season has arguably been the best one. It was quickly identified which ships were too much (and we called that BEFORE they were restricted). But fair play to WG, they got it right. No CV meant actual tactics play a part in the game, not the team who can stand the most CV hits. No CV meant all teams were at an even keel. Not just the team who had the "Better" CV play which it was last time there was tier 10 with a CV. Quite a few competitive teams folded that season purely due to not having that golden boy CV player. They couldn't stay competitive. This season has seen some very interesting positions of some good clans. Some haven't done as well as they might have done and some of the new/non-competitive teams has done well. It's brought some balance to the Clan Battles which it needed. This has been down to 2 things: 1) NO CV, first and foremost. 2) Restrictions on certain ships. Although they could have restricted even more ships or switch them around every 2 weeks to keep it more fresh. In the end, it simply settled. However, there has been so much variety of ships, players and tactics this season and you then dump on it all bringing CV's back into it? I hope, no I prey that you will continue to restrict certain ships in tier 10 (like you have this season) and leave CV's out of it. You have nearly nailed Clan Battles, don't SCREW IT UP!

ST 0.10.4, changes to commander's skills

Let people reset all the captains, not just BB's now. YOUR (WG) changing the skills, not us. You deal with it.
  21. Better than going back to the Ven/Perdo combo. Dear god not that again. It about killed people wanting to play CB's. 2 BB's wasn't as much as a problem IMHO. Tier 10 is fine, but leave CV's out.

    New dutch cruiser line announced

I have a feeling that these will be good ships. Very good at close support. And although I ain't Dutch, I am glad they are finally coming into the game for historical reasons. Many forget the sacrifices of the Dutch navy during that time period. Its been a long times coming.

    Plymouth?

Your just an out and out collector @MrWastee ..You would buy any premium ship that comes out and grab any coal/steel, regardless of what is it....A dingy with a 50 cal. Basically your WG's wet dream. So the Plymouth vs the Mino..One is a silver ship and free the other 27,000 steel? So the question for me is there a big difference between the 2 ships to be worth 27,000! Call me old fashioned but hell no (IMHO). They are both British and both only fire AP. They are very similar ships regrinding damage output and versatilely. One has a massive alpha strike, the other more DPM. The Mino is actually better at being a "radar" ship and has a better heal. I am not saying the Plymouth isn't a good ship, it really is and I think I would enjoy it. Even LWM rates it highly and she is normally spot on. HOWEVER...Is it THAT different and WORTH all that steel compared to other free ships (mino)? or coal (Smol, Austin)? IMHO, just simply isn't there. I'll keep the Mino for free. Your own stats have both ships damage output kinda the same too. So in that respect, there isn't much different. And that's not even talking about the Plymouth vs Smol (HE does so much damage in this game) and both can equally melt DD's. So it's a DD killer? Well that and the other like 6 cruisers currently out that can do it just as good (and even better). There simply isn't anything new to the Plymouth IMHO. But I do respect yours mate. People weigh up Mino vs Plymouth with some saying both is slightly better than the other (although most streamers say the mino is Slightly better). Is that SLIGHTLY better or worse, worth 27,000 steel? Like I said before, that's a hard no.
