    Tirpitz on sale tomorrow Sat29th

I don't have to remind you good people that the North Atlantic convoy lifeline came very close to failing. The Americans gave Britain 50 old destroyers. That's what really saved the convoy. Correct me if I'm wrong. Unlike a lot of other people, I remove my ego from the equation because I'm actually interested in learning about new things. And if someone can reasonably demonstrate that I'm wrong, I'm game ! Of course Britain had cracked the Enigma code.

triumphgt6, I have to disagree. Jutland II ? You're forgetting about the u-boats and their highly effective wolf-pack tactics which did so much damage. Do you really think the Germans wouldn't have coordinated their u-boats tactics with Bismarck and Tirpitz ? The u-boats would have sunk any carriers sent after the Bismarck/Tirpitz task force. Hitler should have committed several wolf packs just to protect this twin sister task force. I'm sorry but the British would not have won the battle of the North Atlantic. Let's not forget all the other famous German cruisers that could have been used in support. The point I'm trying to make is that this task force could have marginally changed history. As I said before, the United States would have won WWII ALL BY HERSELF once she developed the A-bomb. I'm just saying that Britain and Russia would have both been out of the War by the time the Americans had developed their A-bomb. Nor am I saying that Germany would have been successful had she tried to invade Britain. Hitler didn't consider Britain an enemy of Germany. He even sent Rudolf Hess to Scotland to try and make peace with Britain. The Royal Navy would have met its match and lost and the North Atlantic convoy supplying Britain would have ended forcing Britain to become a non-belligerent actor for the rest of the War. I really don't think it's all that far-fetched.

Actually, it wouldn't have changed the outcome of WWII. The United States would have single-handedly won WWII after she became an atomic power. But Western Europe would not have been destroyed and Eastern Europe would not have been occupied by the Soviets. (See my first post.)

All I'm saying is that Hitler made a huge blunder by not allowing the Tirpitz and Bismarck to sail together in the North Atlantic accompanied by cruisers, destroyers and u-boats. It would have put an end to the convoy system that was keeping Britain alive. As for your auntie, if Hitler had managed to cut Britain's North Atlantic lifeline then maybe she wouldn't have even been born ! I'm telling you, keeping the Tirpitz in Norway was a blunder that could have changed the outcome of WWII. And as for the day of the battleship being over ... this is something that only came to be accepted after Midway when for the first time in history, belligerent naval task forces fought each other without actually seeing each other once. Yes, the age of the battleship was drawing to a close, but I still stand by my premise especially when it concerns the North Atlantic because the meteorological conditions made it much harder to spot battleship task forces from the air than in the Pacific. Had the Tirpitz sailed with the Bismarck in the North Atlantic, it is my contention that Britain would have had to ensue for peace. Nazi Germany would have promised (i) NOT to invade Britain at a later date (ii) Britain would have been allowed to import food and other non war goods from the USA. Britain would have promised not to fight Nazi Germany any more.

They had to use a 12,000 lb deep penetration bomb to sink the Tirpitz. http://www.bismarck-class.dk/tirpitz/miscellaneous/tallboy/tallboy.html I think it will take at least 9 torpedo hits to sink her. Maybe even more. Let's not forget that If the Bismarck's rudder hadn't been jammed, the British Navy would not have destroyed her. FOOD FOR THOUGHT Imagine if the Tirpitz and Bismarck, accompanied by cruisers and U-boats, had been allowed to sail together in the North Atlantic! That group alone would have destroyed anything the British Navy could have thrown at her. Britain's convoy system would have come to a stop. And Britain's vital lifeline would have been permanently cut. Britain would then have been forced to sign a Non-Belligerent treaty with Nazi Germany keeping her out of the rest of the war. This would have freed up a lot of German divisions occupying western Europe. Russia's offensive into eastern Europe would then have been stopped and the Soviet Union would have been forced to make peace with Nazi Germany. The United States would have been forced to land her ground forces in Asia, not Europe; and this only after Japan had been defeated. It is only after the United States became an atomic power that Nazi Germany would have surrendered to her. So if Hitler had allowed the Tirpitz and Bismarck to roam the North Atlanic, most of Western Europe would NOT have been destroyed and the Soviet Union would not have occupied Eastern Europe. However, the most ironical thing about Britain being forced to sign this non-belligerent treaty is that Adolf Hitler WOULD have allowed her to keep her Empire ! Crazy huh !

How do I send in a ticket ? I did it once but now I've forgotten how.

    Reporting somebody outside of forum

I'd like to make a complaint about another player's inappropriate remarks made during the game but I don't want to post it in Forum where everybody can see it. Is there any way of me contacting admin privately to report this person ? I have a print screen of the remarks that were made. Kabul_Kid

    TORPEDOES

Wow. You people have such fragile egos. So I asked that everybody petition World of Warships. Obviously I had no idea. And as for my attitude.....dude.....maybe you should read my last sentence again. Here...I'll copy it for you just to save you the trouble of having to find it. " It's very commendable how much research WoWS have done on the historical accuracy of the ships and yet it's completely nuts that they have torpedo bombers that can carry and launch 6 torpedoes in a single strike." Does that appear to be the sentence of somebody with attitude ?

    TORPEDOES

Did I know that one isn't allowed to type in red .....NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ! Did I know about animating small objects ...NOOOOOOOOO ! And as for my computer...why don't you people take a survey asking the players what kind of computers they're using. I'm sure you'll find that most of them are ....what was the insulting word you used.... "potatoes". In fact Ecotech, you seem to appear as quite an arrogant so and so with a very belligerent attitude. And by the way, how do you know what kind of computer I'm using. Just because I didn't check the "animate small objects" box doesn't mean my computer is a "potato". But I better not carry on because if there is one thing I've learned about online gaming it's that there are many players (or people associated with the game) who have very fragile egos. Seyyah, thanks for the straight-forward helpful information. Remember Ecotech gaming isn't real life.

    TORPEDOES

It's time that all the players in World of Warships got together and petitioned the game developers that a single aircraft launching a spread of SIX torpedoes is just Mickey Mouse. As all of you know, torpedo bombers during WWII only ever carried 1 single torpedo per aircraft. This was true for the Axis and Allied powers. I do not know of a single plane that carried 2 torpedoes. And yet World of Warships have torpedo bombers that can launch SIX torpedoes no less ! This is just plain silly and does the game a big disservice. It's very commendable how much research WoWS have done on the historical accuracy of the ships and yet it's completely nuts that they have torpedo bombers that can carry and launch 6 torpedoes in a single strike.

Navigation window when in gun mode.

A window. A map is not a window.

Navigation window when in gun mode.

Why doesn't the World of Warships introduce a small window that represents what a helmsman would see from the bridge of his ship whilst the player is aiming his guns at enemy ships. Navigation and gunnery are mutually exclusive to each other in your game. As you know, this was never the case in real battles as there were several hundred people on board any given ship doing several things at the same time. By not allowing the player the possibility to INSTANTLY see where he is going at all times whilst he is in the middle of a battle is, in my opinion, prejudicial to your game because you assume that a player can not do two things at the same time because he is just one person. A small window allowing the player to see where he or she is going WHILST FIRING THEIR GUNS would dramatically change the game for the better and it would certainly stop many ships from running aground. This small window could be activated during the game with just a single key stroke.

    Bug Report section - Introduction

Every time I'm in the queue, I'm thrown out and find myself back at port. This happens with every ship I have. This has been an issue before but today it is doing it EVERY TIME I try to play. Kabul_Kid

It throws me out of the Queue

I can confirm that the same problem. I was just thrown out of the queue twice in a row a few minutes ago. And when I did get in, none of the commands were working.
