this, queue for any ship above r5 is long, for cvs its a fraking lottery, made me play cleveland (which i dont like) becouse i cant get matched up cv wise...

So we all know that there are new lines in queue for testing and implementing into the game and the existing branches, and they are all bound to something different, RN cruisers have AP only and smoke, KM bbs have secondaries and hydro etc. This thread is about making a whole new ship class, very different, very teamplay oriented without making up new and weird classes like HE only bbs and stuff like that. Utility class ships.... Now there were utility class ships in WWII and they were essential to the fleet composition, this class in wows could have a huge impact to the game if only tweeked around a bit to make it the mother of support ships ever. I have couple of ideas that im gonna list and explain in short: 1: Support role: -Repair ship consumable, idea came to me from pve scenarios Liberty ships, basically works the same like in pve, there is a circle of certain range in which ships can get repaired to a certain level (like they could be repaired with repair consumable, no more that that). This would add a dose of teamplay to the game as ships that wanted repairs would need to stick together to the support ship making it a bit more fleet like unlike todays free for all kind of roaming we see in randoms.... -Hydroacustic search consumable, range of about 4,5 km or something simillar, bigger range on higher tiers... 2: Anti radar role: -Radar jammer consumable, ok this is a tricky one and hopefully would change alot... Imagine you are a radar cruiser and you see a smoked up rn cl and pop radar, nice nice, but imagine then someone jamms your radar o.O... Jammer works on a simple principle, instead of cancelling radar effect, it only distrupts it, if a target is radared and radar jammed enemy team sees this target for every 2 seconds (thus reducing radar effect into half) so you see a target for 2 seconds then you dont see him for 2 seconds untill the radar duration is out or jammer is out. The effect and reason for ths is pretty obvious, im a lazy typer :P 3: Not a big dmg dealer role: -This class isnt made to deal dmg so it wouldnt have torps, and it would be a cruiser size ship with only dd class main armament (max 130 mm calibre and mo more than 5 guns in total). Why you ask? Becouse you want your ship to be able to defend itself to a certain degree but not be agle to oneshot anything.... 4. Armor, manuverabiltiy, AA: -Armor, not like RN cls, but something like Pensacola or New Orleans, to make the class a bit tricky to play. It has to have good rudder shift and small turning cycle to be able to maneuver itsefl to ships in need in time, and finally AA on them would be moderate, nothing fancy like DM or Mino, lets say Hipper or Mogami AA without def AA consumable (we dont want OP) Any thoughts?

its doing that for quite some time now... they broke the page or wgs api is broken... Although if it was api other pages wouldnt work too, and they do, so warships today is broken

Yeah it could, but bot AI is terrible and they would probably follow DD straight into the cap and end up blasted right away... and to be honest pvp must remain only pvp... Definetly, it would have use in team battles more or less the same as in randoms but with more succes i guess couse teamplay and all...

Well, this class isnt supposed to be fun, its supposed to be usefull... Yeah bigger chance of winning in a duvision but then again its like that in every ship, even belfast and saipan... And yes whole tech tree t2-10, if played right it could be statspadding ship, if played wrong druves you into red zone both in stats and in mind :) Concralment wise,i guess 10 km should do it, enough not to be spotted right away and not broken like 8,7 belfast and such... Edit: alot of mmo games have utility class and they arent really fun but people play them as they win matches

Agreed, it woukd have to be tweaked around alot this is a rough idea, but could reward teamplay, and insert something very new to the current boring meta

yeah, but the game needs something fresh, ASAP... I said many times i wont drink again and what do you know, i did it again, so can they, it has to be a right idea in the right time, dont know if this is it... thats up to you guys to say...
