  1. so if CVs aren't a threat to DDs that often, where is the problem? my own personal experience is that 9 out of 10 CVs players ignore DDs up until the moment they got em behind their [edited]. One initial fly-by at the start and that's about it My experience also is that very rarely unicum CV goes against complete potato. T10 is also so [edited]boring and unrewarding for CVs that only handful of tryhards waste time there and there is like 500 CV unicums on EU total. T10 to me generally feels useless, you don't progress anything, convertible XP is useless, you get more credits in T8/T9 prems...i will rather reset line and start over than waste time in T10, let alone in T10 CV Why would you want to play on twice larger maps with 15% EXP penalty hitting Yamatos for 20k when you can be hitting Fusos for 15k and top the charts all the time.
  2. ah, so 85% of the 0.1% players who use the forums? how many voted, like 300? you can be sure that if CV rework would impact negatively 85% of the playerbase, WG would notice the income drop and take action. but cash keeps going, better than ever, hence they do a good job!

    MSAA is multisampling, usually superior to anything else in regards of image quality, taxing on HW FXAA is shader based AA, low HW impact, blurry but over MSAA is capable of AA some effects like gunfires, or railings etc TXAA is like a mixture of the above, uses MSAA but with shaders optimizations from FXAA, less HW hungry than pure MSAA, less blurry than FXAA what i dont understand how come in this game with can use MSAA and TXAA at the same time, when TXAA as already MSAA built-in
  4. what blocks the pushes is lack of vision (and stupidity). In a CV game even if it is 0v2 on DDs, CV can still provide enough spotting to safeguard the push or push away/kill nearby DD. this stories about Unicum CV DD killer vs Potato CV sniper are all cool, but rare. Unicum vs Potato will always be same outcome regardless of class, except even the Unicum CV can't deny spotting from potato CV. Now when potato CV is not just potato but also idiot who ignores the pings to spot DD in a DD imbalanced game, that's completely different problem. i haven't been killed in a DD by CV in ages, and i have re-grind IJN lines 3 times past 2 months for RB. since the rocket reticle change, hard hits on angled DDs are too RNG and many CV players just give up on you if you don't overextend - that's what is killing most of the DDs in CVs games or without they only CV that can [edited]over DDs hard is Enterprise, others have to waste considerably more time on that and usually fail anyway.
  5. i had a game last week with 9 shimas and 1 halland. 2 cruisers each side, no radar. 2 DDs went 1 line, 3 went to 9/10 line. No cap was taken until 12mins in. BBs kept shooting each other from spawn. It felt like a training room battle with AI disabled. top 3 played DDs of all time are IJN DDs. Do you think they are OP? no, its the players who wanna sit back at 10-12km away and spam torps they wont fight each other, they wont spot each other, they wont go after objectives. They sit there and wait for torp CD to reload, release and over again. nothing infuriates me more than shima players (not even KM BB J line snipers who cry on forums about nerfed secondaries that they see firing only when its 1v5 last man standing). I love every class or mechanic that makes their lives miserable, just like they make my games crap when there is nothing to counter them. No one will push without vision and these guys won't spot crap except the Yama 20km away they are trying to torp for 5min from max range.
  6. irony is that in one thread ppl complain about CV spotting and in another that loss of DDs paralyzed the team due to lack of spotting holy [edited]ppl, you want spotting or not? i love CVs in my games, annoying especially in IJN DDs that i reset few times, but it always off-loads some job from DD and keeps the pesky potato border ninjas in check or they die. CV also helps with keeping the backline snipers moving, or they die
  7. i think the CVs should be mandatory in every match to assist in situations like this ideally 2 per side so both flanks can be spotted regardless of potato DDs who yoloed in first minute solution is right there, we just need WG to make it happen!
  8. there is a reason "honest games" based on mandatory subscriptions died like decade ago, even the most powerful IPs like WoW have now microtransactions for cosmetics on top on monthly sub (that you can pay for with ingame gold). gaming world was taken over by "free" games like Fortnite, LoL etc, making billions a year. It works because even without P2W, the paying potato might still get some edge over freeloaders, more rewards, more progression, higher lvl captains, more ships (hence more steel or boxes during events etc)

    Epicenter is good for the queue times. Most of epicenter game are complete stomps in 5-8mins, so the players are back in queue faster! also all the signals and camos wasted in 5min games for little reward works great for WG. More you waste, more you need to restock (ideally with $$$) marvelous design. just like the +2/-2 MM, not a one single [edited]person wants it, yet somehow WG feels it would be great to keep for "ship diversity".. wow i am always so happy when my Colorado is getting spanked by Musashi, feels so great. Imagine it would be T7vsT7, how boring and unrealistic for 2 Colorados fighting each other. Phew, thank you ship diversity for such great experiences!

    that replay would solve this mystery thread. "8 proper kill in T10" ay? considering that KM CVs can't rly farm DDs, then 8 CA/BB "proper" kills must have been like 500k dmg game. if you are looking for OP CV, there are other places to look at, here's a hint :

    you can take one AA skill w/o compromising your dmg or Generally, there is no reason for CV to strike Hindenburgs, they are not immediate threat as backline HE farmers and cruisers constantly moving aren't good targets, so i would not bother with AA skills Hinden has also like ~450 AA DPS (Halland has ~400 and less flak), so each strike will bring casualties for CV, very unlikely to be dropped twice. 5.2km range is crap and since you always move it is self-defense only Don't expect to be immune to planes in any ship, decent CV player will always find a way to drop you for some chip dmg. But strong AA +defAA can bait some less skilled players into flak and wipe the squad before drop Since the new cruiser skills are mostly crap, you may end up with plenty of spare points to invest in AA skills, and both are decent, for ex. Minotaur - even w/o defAA you can sector for ~1000 AA dps, thats a dead plane every 2 seconds regardless of flak

  14. so, i would love to share Jerzy between Halland and Smaland, thing is that one is great torp boat and synergizes great with Jerzy, other one is DD hunter/gunboat obv. Halland build would be On Smaland i would love to have RPF tho, but don't want to loose SI or Torp reload (because if Halland), so maybe that's a loss of ~5k effective HP. If i go with SE instead of SI, its loss of ~2k HP (via heals) but also 1 charge or radar and great speed boost of Smaland that seems like a lot to trade for RPF, but want RPF (not just for random battles) ideas?

  16. yea, bit in reality, its not 5% even now, since most take AR, some maybe even Fearless B., with all those skills you can do close to 35%. At 75% HP and BFT you would already be at 10% (old BFT value) and if 10% does not qualify, then not taking AR just to sit at 5% permanently does not seems that great Considering that many run Smaland with Jerzy who already has improved AR

  18. drama boosts views i guess i dont need YT to see that Thunderer is broken potatos play them because for the first time playin they can get 100k+ dmg games consistently and it makes them feel good. But since they won't win more or even get more EXP for that, it will became boring at some point, just like with CQ

    worse thing about the game was and still is the MM. more and more mechanics introduced over years makes newcomers life miserable and very long way to "learn" the game I don't mind 40% ppl, everyone was potato in the beginning, but when MM puts 10 newbies on side and none on other side it is not fun. It's just wasted time and 15-20 signals for 5min battle regardless who wins and it will just get worse over time

    Saipan, like many other CVs is great example of imbalance in MM. When you end in T6, the lives of enemies will be miserable. You can do like 50k dmg with one squad to Fuso. In T10 your only hope is isolated targets Enterprise or Kaga won't give a crap and just brute force whatever comes along. CVs should really get +1/-1 MM back, and not because of CVs, but general health of the game on lower tiers When i load into T6 in Enterprise, it is a [edited]massacre, why is that allowed if beyond my comprehension
  21. i took BFT on Kita and haven't noticed 22% increase. Is it the case just for super-fast firing guns like Friesland or Smaland? 5% is not worth 3 points imho, and if it is broken, WG can fix that skill to actually reflect written 5% without any compensation or respec I believe that after the free period is over, WG will (maybe) allow respec only for skills that intentionally change (like Dead eye going from 10% to 7% or so)

    viable actually if you can stay ~14km conceal still without it (UK/US BBs), but there is no reason to do it on anything other than RU BBs, who lack heal and don't need dead eye below 15km anyway. what make no sense is taking DE and CE having ~12km conceal but sitting at 20km + anyway @on topic Vermont is worst imho. that reload and speed is just unfun to play regardless of how much dmg u can do second would be Montana, simply power-crept, those guns are great, but hard to use in current meta. none of the T10 BBs is weak, just some work better and are easier to play

    - u have 4 points left to spend based on your playstyle. you can take BFT as the balanced option, or RPF to ambush DDs or even Fearless brawler for maximum dakadaka at the cost of 300m conceal edit. for the love of god, use reload mod not range mod, trying to farm things from 16km in with these arcs is crazy
