    Can you backup these claims with some data? what i see are drops in average damage of 5-35% for all CVs, and that Includes Midway drop by 25% - arguably the only strong CV atm. And i am pretty sure they will keep on dropping, mainly due to hotfixes. or are you considering YOUR stats only? You play nothing but Midway and Enterprise, doing 5% better on first and 5% worse on latter compared to predecessors - hardly "substantial" change anyway, since you pretty much refuse to play anything other than Midway/BigE (Fun factor, purples and stuff), maybe consider forming your feedback on CVs bit more specifically, because this statement of "CVs overall damage increased substantially" is not just false, but also most likely from your PoV considers just 2 ships not all CVs. edit: https://wows-numbers.com/ships/ and filter CVs
  3. looking at the queues past R5, i assume many ppl (even good players) don't play ranked for some reason - for plenty its the toxicity and the progression system that sets you back two steps after making one forward. New ranked model: - 400k-500k base EXP to reach R1 (with milestone ranks after 15k/35k/50k EXP etc) - 4-5 weeks duration - Wins will provide 50%/100% base exp bonus - you need to earn at least 400 base EXP for it to count for progression (optional, but its anti-abuse & anti-spam system) - no longer locked to single tier (T9+T10, T5+T6, T6+T7 etc). Picking up lower tier ship will provide EXP bonus just as in randoms. Higher risk, higher reward model + some ship diversity would not hurt in ranked. Good players will win more and earn more EXP = rank out faster Average players lot slower bad players may not rank out in time at all. chain of bad luck with 10 losses? sucks, but at least week long progression is not lost Can't play next weekend due to IRL stuff but already at 300k after 2 weeks? u can push it after if you plan the game time right YES IT IS A GRIND. It always was and always will be. But grinding like crazy just to be punished by RNG and keep sitting on the same spot after 100 more games is retarded. Grinding means SLOW progression, not going backwards just cuz your teammates or you sometimes fail hard. ### Numbers are subject to tuning to make it challenging, maybe impossible for some as intended. Core aim is to make progression slower or faster based on player skill and try to deal with frustration and hate in ranked caused by loosing streaks. Its similar to Clan battle - you win and you progress the mission. You loose, you won't. Time limit guarantees that you can't fail your way to top league. open to suggestions

    with all due respect to Fara, after watching the whole thing it feels more like some click-bait drama than attempt to improve something. all this manual control and automatic consumables were on the table months ago and WG said "nope" back then, explaining that just like all other ship classes, also CV players should focus on main aspect of the class - Planes. switching back and forth in the heat of battle between active plane squad and carrier (20km away) is disrupting and no other class has to do it. Plane squad is the vessel of a CV player, you go back to carrier just to move your "spawn point" out of danger or respawn funnily enough, it was Fara who even in the RTS CVs era spent most time in the map screen and auto-piloted everything except the drops/strafes - if you wanna call "move from A to B" autopilot i just do feel that after last hot fixes, CVs have much bigger problems than manual control - and he would know that if he played the game - those 4-5 low tier games he does per week wont tell him much

    Midway is OK, even in not-so-experienced hands. Hell, ppl who could not break 100k consistently before, should now in average game (read - 15min+). Just avoid Minotaurs and big blobs. Some may think that Midway is OP, but she is just a shadow of her former self. Maybe its just me, but i expect T10 CV to be able to sit at 100k+ average, if a BBs can, why not CV? And thats for decent players, DoT stacking etc. I haven't played Hakuryu after hotfixes, but since the torps were the selling point and they are nerfed to oblivion now, plus the lower HP on planes - she is inferior to Midway in every aspect that matters (concealment does not) T8 is hit or miss, mercy of MM. Lex and Enterprise can do better in both T10 and T8 games than IJN (maybe some AP bombs practice needed) Kaga and Saipan are crap after the F-key nerf, i did not have any top tier game tho IJN T8 are down to 2 torps/salvo and AP bombs seem like a lottery to me, lower HP on planes than USN - its a pain and ridiculous in T10 playing T6 now, MM was crap so far and average damages also, but i got a feeling that WG intends for T6 CVs to sit at such numbers. fundamental problem of CVs is uptiering and DD spotting. I would gladly shift the spotting power into more dmg (aka. more EXP) Hakuryu is special case, expect lot of tuning there

    World of Battleships. Increase firing range to historical 40km, make maps 3x larger and triple the guns dispersion. We would get god damn battleship simulator! 3% hit ratio. You don't EVER have to move from spawn... #funandengagingheaven i can hear the orgasms of BB players already

    thats #1 reason right there. planes speed difference aside, 1500hp on planes for T8 CV is decent vs T8 target and very comfortable vs T6, in T10 its a joke (Midway has like 2500+ HP) how to fix that w/o braking T10 balance, no idea - well, +1/-1 CV MM would work, i guess

    why exactly does he has to bother with manual CV control or some automatic consumables all the time? autopilot is not perfect, but it does the job - you no longer have to park your CV behind islands with surgical precision, yea, you could maybe dodge enemy torps better, but i would rather be up in the air dealing with the source of the problem rather than attempting to maybe mitigate the consequences - let alone the fact that enemy CV torps hit for like 5k and automatic consumables are band aid for the lost defAA - its an anti-snipe system. Decent CV wont go for a snipe anyway (at least not at the start) and in the end of the game it does not matter anyway. CV lost good chunk of concealment and enemy planes can keep you spotted A LOT, imagine you would have to switch over for every DCP or fighter consumable manually...

    well, he must be inferring his info from some ones else, otherwise it would be "hilarious as best" to present it as his own with less than 10 games per ship played, right? I just struggle to find anyone who claims that T6 or T8 CVs are OP, and since you play just Midway and Enterprise, we will never get to know. but lets not forget that he maybe yesterday played Ryujo on some alt account, so maybe he can shed some light to the OP claims, we will see (and hope he did more than 10 battles in it)

    did you hear that @ForlornSailor? he said "hilarious at best", and that's for 50 CV games post 0.8.0 or 10 games per specific ship. Now imagine what does that mean for someone having ZERO :)

    everything in T6 and most T8 is over-nerfed, real question is what WG's intentions for this ship class are and how players will accept it lets not forget that 95% of the player base did not play CVs, so even if the popularity will double after rework, majority may still not like it. Old CVs could dev strike anything anywhere on the map every 2-3mins and had average dmg way above BBs. Current ones cant do any of that anymore, but can attack targets of opportunity much faster and drive DDs to insanity. maybe WG wants it that way? no big numbers, spotting bots and stand clear from AA ships?

Its apparently not 50, or 10, certainly not 0. you did 200 recently, please confirm if its 200 so we potatoes have some long term goal to reach before we can start voicing opinions on ship class. thank you! and the superiority complex is not really a concern, its just funny :)

    i played ~100 random games since rework and 49 in CVs, i do actually feel like CV main since 0.8.0 ...how is that 1%? you counted 50 CV game POST rework and compared to my games played BEFORE rework, really? If u wanna talk before rework (for some reason) - that's 11% well, you managed to play 300 games since rework against mine 100, congratulations i guess? you know that there was ranked season? most of my gametime went there and yes, i consider mine 50 CV games versus his 0 post-rework to make hell of a difference, let alone the fact he haven't touched CVs before rework too. But, suddenly, he knows the best how broken and OP they are? you did 200 games just in Midway and Enterprise, i did 50 in CVs in last 3 weeks. But you are the "know it all" and everyone else just shut up right? And then you are surprised that ppl make fun of your ego Honestly, i would not even care if Forlorn played CVs or not, there are plenty of others who cry about CVs and never touched them. What triggers me is that he is literally everywhere the moment CVs are mentioned, viciously fighting and argumenting against CVs, but with total zero experience...its comical.

    i was getting worried you wont show up. 11% of my games played are in CVs, i own all CVs and played them all after rework too, maybe 5-10 games per ship tops, but enough to give me an idea. Its considerably more than his 0.00%. This thread is called "Over-nerfed" CVs and my opinion is that they are indeed over-nerfed, maybe with exception of Midway (and i stated my reasons why i think so, and i played that ship personally). if you came here to say that only CV mains with thousands of battles in CVs are allowed to voice opinions, i disagree but I do value their opinions on state of CVs more. I maybe don't like how you are presenting yourself and your experience on forums, all this "gid gut big ego talks", but the skill and experience is undeniably there and should be considered If you say that CVs are in good shape and maybe even on equal power level than pre-rework (WR/dmg/utility) then so be it, me and the OP will just go train harder - or not play them

And sorry if you already told me this little secret of yours... i don't think its humanly possible to keep track of 500 troll and meme posts u make weekly. maybe you have some screens of your devastating victories in CVs? maybe little how-to guide how to perform on such level... apparently some people (like OP) struggle with CVs, but its obviously just L2P issues..gogo share with us. otherwise, what i see is 0.00%, nada, zero, nothing

    difference is i spend 10min per day on forum, rest in game, you are here 24/7 but play one game per week.The simple fact that you did not ever owned or played a CV is single most important fact i provided and ppl should consider it when reading your "unbiased" opinions.

    for some one who does not even play the game, let alone the CVs, what makes you believe your fabricated opinions have any value? you are lurking the forums trying to convince ppl literally in every post how great the game would be without CVs or how overpowered they are .. you know that how? from youtube? only CV capable of having significant impact on battle atm is Midway, she has planes with high HP and can stack DoTs reliably. Absolutely every other CV is trash and spotting bot that can harass lone DDs at best. Maybe thats how WG wants it to be..maybe not, but i am pretty sure that "feedback" from forum trolls wont get CVs removed from the game

    other problem on ranked with WR based progression - ship diversity. There are only so little "top picks" within a tier so we got the kitakaze and musashi spam, some jutland or JB here and there, and its sooo boring. EXP based progressing will allow multi-tier ranked, i will gladly take Massachusetts into Iowa/Lion/Izumo brawl, especially knowing that if i do good, i will get extra EXP and progress ranks faster.

    OP sells the best. That's how it works in F2P games, that's how human thinking work. But it creates long term balance problems. If new ships arent OP, they must be unique enough to appeal to potential buyers - and Wichita does not, so its a ship for collectors and completely forgettable.

    thats all the Ibukis, Roons, St. Luis, Tashkents and udaloi and IJN BBs. Thats they way you play those ships - you keep a distance and farm dmg. That does not mean those players are bad, they just kinda picked sub-optimal ship for 6v6. and lucky them, farming dmg provides greatest EXP...i hate it, but thats how WG designed it

    do you understand average winratio of 50% without the star saving mechanic will mean infinite amount of games to rank out? 50% WR means you will not progress, at all - and there is ton of ppl who have 50% WR in ranked. even the ppl with 55% would need like 600 games to rank out etc. If the ranked system remains as it is now, star saving is crucial mechanic for progression - thats why i think the whole current ranked system is flawed and not easily adjustable and needs complete rework problem with ranked is that progression is tied with win rate, and win rate does not reflect your skill or success in battle in a small sample of games (<1000 or so). even super unicums can end up with 40% WR after 50 games, that's RNG in a small sample pool. But their battle performance (WTR/PR/EXP or w/e) will be high anyway Thats why i think progression tied to base EXP would reflect skill of players much better, because great game even on loosing team will progress you more than bad game on winning team - so playing good will be encouraged. Wins will be just a bonus on top of it. what is not fair is that ppl who do nothing (sometimes intentionally) in a match, but still somehow end up on winning side are rewarded with exactly same amount of progression (Star) as other who fought hard and carried them. There are ppl who intentionally spam large amount of games and abuse this system, and sometimes even manage to rank out over large amount of games - doing nothing, just click BATTLE button over and over. If the progression was tied with base EXP, they would not be able to do it either due to the minimum threshold or by simple fact that by spamming 100 EXP games they will never reach that 500k in time.

    yay, another CV thread. lets check - anti-CV brigade Dfens and Forlorn - on board - King of CVs El2azer - summoned so the usual git gud, check my stats, CVs are perfect, and other much constructive stuff i think this rework will achieve impossible, the 5% CV playerbase wil shrink to 0.5%, rejoice!

    example of one of the issues of the "save the star" mechanic. First on loosing team had 918EXP, #2 had 915 and #3 903. It was a fast game mainly due to overextending Mushu and map border runner kita. 3 of them tried to carry the team, but failed...only one got to save the star by literally one extra shell fired
