You have played literally 4 matches, I've played more than 800, believe me, DDs are pretty UP right now, specially in high tiers.

Planes need a lot of tweaking, that isn't new. Guess they'll change the values, specially HP and DPS after including IJN CVs.

Again, BBs are more accurate under 10km than ever. Trying to emulate the real Yamato, staying at long range and doing nothing may look historical, but is a "low risk, low reward" kind of play. But hey, is comprehensible, BBs are pretty weak, they need to stay at long range, it isn't like they have more HP and armor than the rest of the ships and can repair 3 times per game. -
I know its a completely different game, but that's what I like about DotA, Icefrog barely nerf strong heroes and always buff the weak ones, and that game is way harder to balance than WoWS IMO. Again, balance patches will come later once all the newbies learn to play and got into high tier battles, since probably WG needs a lot of statistical data. ATM there is only terrible, full of Dunning-Kruger, BB players who never played a tier 7 ship, don't know how to play and don't even want to learn, you shouldn't balance a game around these morons or it will turn to crap.

3 or 4 citadel hits from a Fuso using AP means you sink, thats way worse than crits.

Thats what I hope too, DDs need a lot of improvement right now. And yes, beta phase is the time for huge balance changes.

We still lack a complete line of CVs. Even if they are top tier in the match, CVs are far away from OP in high tier games, sometimes they perform really good and sink a ship or two and cripple others and sometimes they do literally nothing, but you never see one dominating a game. Guess your 18 games in tier 6 prove me wrong against the tier 7-10 battles and the impact of CVs in them. BTW, you can search profiles to see what people plays, so maybe the next time you won't look like a moron. -

I said it in multiple threads, CVs fall off a lot after tier 6 and they are nearly useless in high tiers. Also, tier differences in CV Vs CV are pure [edited], at some tiers the fighters from the higher one obliterate the other planes in seconds. CVs still need a lot of tweaking. Again, that's the kind of thing to balance in a beta. -
The IJN DDs can see you from from 7Km (you can see them from 6), so they have 1 Km to turn away, also they are faster than you. So your role is "ambush terrible players". That's why I didn't bothered with US DDs in this version.

Kawachi is slow, unmaneuverable, her main armament have short range and her secondaries are negligible. As other posters said: let the cruisers lead the charges. As a bonus, I'll give you a pic of how to deal with DDs: -
Looks like you are playing US DDs. I'll be sincere, you can't do crap against good players right now, since they don't sail near island, don't go near smoke clouds and can one/two-shot you ship in the 6km range. Your only option is forcing them to come into the ambushes by capping points in domination, and most good players won't go alone unless they have vision (scout planes or fighters) or take a detour. Another option is screen your fleet and try to attack distracted players, but usually that doesn't give good results and is boring.

Sometime the spotting system behaves weird with the smoke, WG is aware of this. Most of the time it means that your LoS is blocked, his LoS is blocked and you are being spotted by one of his allies. Did you saved the replay?

From the outside it looks like that, but if you know how to play WoWS is more like newbies driving straight to the enemy cap in Malinovka: "wtf, killed by invisible tanks?!" "hacker, reported!!!" "killed by invisible tanks again, [edited]cheaters!" "[weird languages, possible profanities]" Etcetera.

Reverting the increased acquisition range to the last version will fix it. That would be OP as [edited]mate. I hit a lot against targets in the 8-10 km range, isn't hard once you get used to the game. Well, I used to hit, now they see the torpedoes form 2.7km away and just evade them, getting one hit if I'm lucky with the spread. -

Wrong, is : +10% main battery loading time / +15% main battery aiming speed. So, they take more time to reload but turn faster. I'll give you that some modernizations are badly worded. There are some older threads about this, but I don't know if you can access to the "Closed Alpha Period Archives" of the forum (probably not). -
I can't since your low tier battles against terrible players is the only (anecdotal) evidence you are going to accept. Keep playing destroyers, hit tiers 7-10 and face good players. Then try to convince me that torpedoes aren't useless right now.

It could be a magazine hit, they happen sometimes. Check the forum to enable replays, they are pretty useful to sometimes to check "what the [edited]just happened!". The reproduction is disabled right now though. Wrong game, sailor, both HE and AP explode here. HE when it hit any surface, without any penetration and AP when the fuse activates inside hard targets, like citadels.

Listen to me, I'm taller. If your "main" armament can be used as AA, the game list it under the "AA Guns" tab, with it's range and DPS against planes, just check it there. It will add its damage to your other AA guns automatically, you don't need to do anything, a bit unrealistic but do the job. As example, you can see it in this pic.

Well, I didn't played BBs this version, so I don't know abut long range shots, but being in the receiving end, BBs accuracy in the 6km range or less is impressive, it was buffed a lot, I'll swear that shell velocity is higher too, but I ain't sure. Maybe is a hint from the devs to move your heavily armored ship with a huge HP pool close to objectives instead of camping the red blue line, but I doubt it. Every ship type was nerfed, but CAs and DDs are way worse this patch: US CAs: Barely any direct changes, seems they have worst maneuverability though, but the new armor mechanics makes them worse fighting BBs. Probably Des Moines can't outDPM a Yamato right now (Which is fine in my book). IJN CAs: Same problem with guns than US ones, except they are made of paper and don't get any benefit from it, huge torpedo nerfs, no more long lances, and their torpedoes are useless due the buffed acquisition range, way worse than US CAs. IJN DDs: Huge nerf to the guns, buff to torpedo range and nerfs to torpedo speed, due the buffed acquisition range now enemies can see torpedoes from 2.7~km (including planes), if the enemy reacts, you are lucky if you hit with one torpedo in the 8-10 km range (the safest one). Barely any game impact unless you are fighting terrible players. US DDs: Completely useless about competent players (see: people that won't sail into smoke clouds or close to islands), tiers 8 and 9 are the best DDs in game, but have the same problem with the torpedoes than the IJN ones. You ain't going to outgun a CA and any IJN DD can see you first and leave. Barely any game impact. Cvs are mushrooms. -
BBs accuracy in the 6-7km range is crazy right now, I've been one-shotted a lot compared to older versions, and I doubt everybody suddenly learned to aim better at the same time. Seems their long range accuracy (+12km) was nerfed. I didn't tried BBs in this patch, so I can't be sure.
