MJB, how many did you buy!!!! I got one each of the 18", 20", the 1950's fit with Regulus missile (ala USS Long Beach I presume) and the 1990's fit as the recommissioned Iowa's. Mine were bought at the pre-order price of $135 a whack. Price per is now $150 per kit. Geez these things are getting expensive.

MJB, just got an invoice from Freetime Hobbies for the 18" and 20" gunned versions of the Montana designs from Blue Ridge Models. They said they were supposed to be released around the time of the big show in Telford (which is this weekend) so I imagine they must be getting pretty close because Freetime usually doesn't charge until they're ready to ship. Got my fingers crossed.

Melvin, never did reply via email but goes without saying I'll join you in this. I am curious to know some more specifics, cost is obviously first and foremost. Additionally, is Mike's plan to use the existing Tillman hull he has already and 3D print new turrets? Have two of the Tillman craftsman kits already, but the 16" fit would be a must buy. Oh, and as for the CA-2D, that is an emphatic yes. You could probably rob a Trumpeter Baltimore kit of spare and detail parts to fit the CA-2D up. Hull and a select few parts would be all you'd need to produce. Pretty much anything Mike cooks up is something I'll buy at least one of.

If you are referring to secondary armament of 140mm/5.5 inch guns, than yes, I think they are the same basic guns (albeit in case-mate mounts) as on the 5500 ton light cruisers Japan was building in the late 1917 to 1925 time period. They might be a slightly different caliber though, I'm not sure as the caliber is not noted here for the designs Tzoli posted. They were 50 caliber 5.5 inch weapons on the 5500 ton cruisers.

Ah, so I finally have re-registered. Formerly JasonW, but that was taken in the World of Warships/Tanks gaming world so alas, I am now Jason2466 or something like that. Are we going to create a separate model sub-forum on this iteration of Warship Projects? That was my primary haunt on the old forum and we have a lot of interesting never were subjects starting to come to fruition. Mike Bartel is just beginning his Washingtons Cherry Trees collection and has released the British L-II design as a hybrid kit.
