Popular Mechanics had an obsession with streamlining around this time. Whatever the subject there would be a streamlined "of the Future" version. There's probably a streamlined "Pencil of the Future" somewhere in their archives. This one could almost be an early stealth warship though. All those rounded surfaces to deflect radar.

Sorry to be nitpicking, but you have the BB65C-5 as having its main armament as triple-triple-quad, but in the plan view underneath it's showing as a KGV style quad-twin-quad. -
Secondary/tertiary armament in twin turrets, single open mounts and casemates. What was the designer thinking of? Definitely a design that seems to be looking forwards and backwards at the same time.
