If you do modeling, buy it. The drawings alone make the book worth it. If you don't do modeling, it becomes much less useful, although some(like me - I know some Japanese, but not nearly enough to read the book) might still buy it, because it's high-quality ship porn(seriously, the drawings and CGs are GORGEOUS).

Die Deutschen Krigsschiffe 1815-1945, Band 1(the line drawing style is pretty characteristic). The series is huge(8 volumes, Volume 4 is divided in 2 books, so 9 books), and be prepared to spend a lot of money and time to get all of them(I think the only series I spent more money in were Hunnicutt's books on US AFVs).
