Endured 125k damage with Duke of York in ranked. Actually it was so much that Wargaming's code was unable to calculate that I also deserved the Dreadnaught achievement:

You bias the data with your pre-selection. I have Nelson, Sinop, Scharnhorst, Lyon, Francesco and Strassbourg, but I rather play Gneisenau and Duke of York.

I have both the Lenin and Alabama and grinded the US BB line till Montana/Minnesota, and the Russian BB line till Kremlin. I prefer playing the NC over Alabama to the extent that I left Halsley on her, despite having the Montana. Alabama and NC are quite similar, except that NC has more precise guns, but turns slower. So from fun perspective Alabama does not bring any new. Lenin feels OP-ish in T8 matches but not really a carry boat in case of long range shooting, which happens usually when you get into T10 matches. Lenin opens up a unique gameplay experience, even if you have the Vladivostok, because of her front facing turrets. You won’t grind US commander XP with Lenin, but you will grind much more fun. Alabama is a good ship, but kind of redundant if you have the NC. On my personal fun scale Lenin is 8/10, Alabama is 6.5/10, in a scale where Massachusetts and Tirpitz are 10/10, Georgia and Jeanbart are 8/10, Pommern is 7/10, The NC is 8/10.

I like the epicenter maps, but I dislike the players, mostly noob DDs, that don’t do any capping, or get killed early, ruining the game for their team.

T9 ship is 19300 doubloons or 228000 coal. Thus 100000 coal worth 8464 doubloons. If 5000 doubloons worth 7.5M credits, then 100,000 coal worth 12,696,000 credits. But there are many other ways to calculate. If you have premium account, then you can make 1000,000 credits and 1200 coal per day playing 3 games with premium ships and basic credit flag every day. So you need 83 days to grind 100,000 coal. In 83 days you grind 83,000,000 credits, but you spend credits on new ships, flags and modules. If you play 9 games per day, you get 2000 coal and 3,000,000 credits with premium account. You need 50 days to grind 100,000 coal, while you grind 150,000,000 credits. So the worth of the coal in credits can be very different depending on how much you play, what ships you play, and if you have a premium account. I’d say, if you play regurarly with premium account, then 100,000 coal might worth 30-40,000,000 credits.

Smolensk is easy to play if you’re in the good position, but it’s hard to find the good position. That’s why it has low skill floor, but high skill ceiling. I think it’s good to have low skill floor ships, as less skilled players can enjoy them. If you’re skilled, then dealing with a less skilled Smolensk player is no issue. A skilled Smolensk player can be an annoyance, but they would be an annoyance in a Hindenburg, or any similar HE ship. A skilled Des Moines player is also annoying to the average player.

Such logic would mean that half of the ships are broken.

Smolensk was heavily nerfed and had 49.35% random WR a week ago, and 48.03% overall ranked season 2 WR according to maple syrup and wows stats & numbers. It was toxic, but it's less than annoying now. In comparison, another T10 smoke cruiser, the Minotaur had 50.98% random WR and 51.4% ranked season 2 WR.

I mean, I collected 10 karma in ranked bronze that I lost within a few days in randoms.

You never know, there are some, like the OP, who already, hoarded a vast amount of coal during 781 battles.

As soon as you make something for money, it becomes less enjoyable. It’s not a free choice anymore, but an obligation.

There are quite a big selection of coal ships, and you can still get OP-ish one, like the Marceau, or extremely fun one, like the Pommern. Also a couple of enjoyable ships, like the Salem, Yoshino, or Duke of York. I have about six T9-T10 coal ships and still not run out of viable options. Also, how WG would make money by giving you doubloon ships for free?

Finally completed the shot down 100 planes with a cruiser dockyard mission:

Caracciolo: AP only, SAP ineffective Veneto: mostly SAP, but it’s ineffective due to bad sigma, slow reload, only 8 guns, targets with scarce superstructure. AP overpens Lepanto: more guns and more superstructure on targets fixes SAP issues. Also less AP overpens against heavier armor at T9 T10 matches. By the way, it was similar on the ITA cruiser line. SAP works well on high tiers with lots of guns.
