Anyway, what’s the point of buying the T5 and T6 cruisers for tokens when you get the T7 with the missions, and can start your grind from there. I played exactly one game with the De Ruyter. I might opt for picking up some Dutch camos instead the T5 ans T6 ships.

I did not uninstall, but only play like one game per week. I see the game more and more as a time sink/psychological enslavement and not as a source of entertainment, so I prefer to not start it at all.

I specced out of it since the skill rework. I was using it everywhere except on DDs. I don’t miss it at all, actually looking around gives you more information.

One of the few ships which actually makes you smile, whether you win or lose.

Tech tree DDs can be obtained by anyone, still some have better WR. Also, Odin always had above 50% WR, despite being a dockyard ship. Might be a T9 premium at the cost of T6, but you can invest those doubloons elsewhere. I'd rather buy a T8 BB/Cruiser than an average T9 future port queen, or wait for the Dutch dockyard event, or for premium submarines with a hefty amount of mana.

Yes, it's easy to get a citadel when launching torps while detected. You must learn not to do it. It's a basic rule in Yoshino's manual, similarly to other basic rules, like not smoking up in front of a radar/hydro ship with a DD. A lot of potatoes do it which creates the Yoshino image. Yes, it's hard to carry (especially in ranked) with Yoshino, as it lacks the utilities and concealment for DD hunting, but she's entertaining to play.

I recently got my hands on Lenin. Before getting her, I wasn’t sure if I needed her. Now, I cannot imagine my life without her. This is how a BB should work, hits hard, tanks hard but has vullnerabilities. I went back to Tirpitz, my all time favorite, after a couple of Lenin games, and I was shocked by the gun performance. So if anyone of you can get Lenin before she leaves, then don’t hesitate, just pull the trigger on her.

I have the Yoshino, it’s a fun ship and a must have, if you like the Japanese kiting cruiser playstyle. It can turn with double rudder installed. I’m also considering getting the Salem as my next coal ship, however the Dutch are coming with air strikes, and the subs are coming, too. I don’t see how island hugging would fit into the upcoming new meta. Getting Neustra would be nice, but she’s heavily overpriced for a T9 DD. I don’t play tier9 DDs that much.

I'm in the same situation and will probably skip her. I also skipped the Hizen, I learned to not buy another port queen after the Anchorage grind. ZF6 had less than 50%WR last week...

I watched several streamers playing subs, yesterday. They were quite able to sink CVs, just by getting close and torping them.

Lenin is better because of the turret setup, all forward 360 degree. Much easier to shoot with all 9 guns.

Lenin is better than Mainz, I have them both. Get Lenin, she’s a great ship. Get Marceau for coal, fun in randoms, monster in co-op, made 150k and 600 base today while grinding the last dockyard mission.

Not really, it was in the last minute of a steamroll, when I was on low HP and already encircled. I was one of the few ships who actually tried to do something else than dying in the first five minutes. Yes, the smoke was "useful" allowing to retreat from a collapsed flank, but it has no potential to turn back the tide, like Pommern can do with some torps. I made my comment to highlight that the smoke is very situational, and much less useful than on Italian cruisers who benefit more from hit and run tactics.
