You're wrong. There is no context in the video. He says "do not spend ANY money on this". This is his final verdict. Sorry, it's your mistake. Come on admit it.

How will you respond to the CC situation and WGs responce
Ocsimano18 replied to lovelacebeer's topic in General Discussion
I wanted to stop spending before the CC debacle. The CC debacle did not influence me a bit, I'm ahead of their thinking by months. -
Watch the final verdict at 57'28''. Something like "Is it worth it? Absoulutely %$#@ not, do not spend doubloons on it"
-
I re-watched the last few minutes where he told not to spend any money on this ship. Also I've read a couple of comments on youtube where many of his viewers wrote something like "Thanks Flambass, I wanted to buy this ship, but will not do so".
-
This is a misinformation. He said exactly not to spend any money on this ship, at the very end of his video.

I think it does not matter if you can technically call this a review, as people follow his advice and base their decision on what he said. If he told this before the CC debacle, then it's even worse as he did not take his influencer job seriously.

According to the stats page, his first battle with D7P was on Thursday, he also mentioned his client getting patched before starting up the game. This does not give any excuse for a rushed no effort review. Many players base their purchase decision on his advice, which was of crap quality in this case.

Stats from today: Please note that ZF-6 started out badly and she's still around 49% WR. She was praised by certain reviewers and you guys explained that dockyard ships are used by clueless whales, that's why the initial stats are low. Now the clueless whales have the best win rate with D7P. My takeaway is that the D7P is a good ship.

Before WOWS, I was playing an MMO strategy card game, like Hearthstone, but with much compelling strategy and still nice graphics/music. The game did not have aggressive monetization, you could pretty much fully enjoy it for free. The game was not dumb enough to bring in masses, like Heartstone, despite being there years before. Finally the servers were shut down. My takeaway is that you cannot casually monetize a niche game while paying your employées. I don”t agree with WGs scummy tactics, rigged. loot crates and other tricks, but the costs have to be backed up by the player’s wallets, one way or the other.

I don’t think serious people think that the major part of the cost is the server maintenance. They have to play a lot of developers, the support people, the community managers, lot of marketing, legal, finance staff, their high and mid management and to make a profit for any kind of investors. The whole team has grown much compared to the early years, and costs a lot more. What they can do is to produce the same content over and over, mainly new line of ships, and investing into new developments like the CV rework, or the submarines. They also need new players constantly, as old players get saturated and pay less and less money for the game. The pace of pumping out new ships is all time high, so they probably make a profit. The monetization has been overtuned in recent times, which can be a result of declining player numbers after covid getting tamed, or by a new more profit oriented manager, or the combination of the two.

Only for the memes. They are quite situational and you usually get better results by mounting the aiming module in slot 3 instead of the secondary one. Also, you have much less power against DDs than you had before, and killing DDs wins the game. I don't have her yet, but I think that the most fun secondary ship is Napoli.

Racist/Transphobic/Anti-Semite Stays as CC?

If they can have their own sentiments, then I can also have my own sentiments. Also, I don't understand this none of your business approach. Everything is your business. You could say the somebody smoking is none of your business, or somebody using drugs is none of your business. -

Personally I wouldn't do it. I also wouldn't do those neck lengthening stuff some tribes do. -

It's a built in phobia in humans to preserve their body parts. People missing a built in phobia, or suppressing it are behaving strange. They can do any other unexpected dangerous things. I also avoid people with tattoos, as having a permanent tattoo is against your body image, and signals potential dangerous behavior. -
Wargaming will rejoice at the CC exodus...Here is why
Ocsimano18 replied to WascallyWabbit's topic in General Discussion
I've seen lot of new players having 250 battles and a couple of T8 premiums. Those are the fresh guys WG is looking for. The logic here is not to retain players, but always have enough influx of new ones who quickly grab a couple of premiums for money before they quit. The pool of potential new players in unlimited (WG have about 1 million people active in the last few months globally, and there are at least 100 millions worldwide who can potentially be recruited). The veteran players are needed to make high tier gameplay desirable for newbies. We're the elite club for which they would like to buy a membership card, without doing the grind for many years. It doesn't matter if they realize later that buying a high tier premium only makes you a cannon fodder, as they've already spent their money. -
Crazy Captain resigned from CC program.

It's the way the human psyche works. When Flamu was dismissed WG cited his toxicity. Flamu was toxic for years, but no-one really cared, beyond some viewers who rather chose to watch someone else. WG has been selling lootboxes for years. Some people pointed out how it was a bad practice, but nothing really happened (BTW it's not the 7 years old who get exploited, as they are under parental control regarding their spending/playing time. It's rather adults who are getting exploited who cannot control their spending or playing time). Now LWM got pissed off at WG, and the perception has turned for many. For me personally it's strange, as I've been again loot-boxes and other exploiting mechanics for years, and I don't suddenly change my opinion because of some emotional uproar. But the majority of people works like that everywhere in the society. I think Wargaming games are a good social experiments helping you to understand social behavior in a simplified environment. -
Here is a suggestion for a temporary event game mode. Move all ship’s stats back to the unnerfed level, and let them fight each other. Some ships might even get back their stats used for testing.
-
Yep, with tuned up AA to Halland levels
-
Thing is that it's very low effort. Just change the stats in the DB, and voilà, it's there.
-
I think it's fun to play un-nerfed Venezia, Odin, Kremlin, etc., in a temporary game mode... You could witness the firepower of the fully armed and operational battle station battleships.

Another interesting observation from NA Forum: Comparison of 3 recent "Dockyard" events (De Zeven Provincien / Hizen / ZF-6)...
Ocsimano18 replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
She has no radar, hydro, or smoke, so obviously she is not a ranked/CB material. That does not make her weak in randoms. -
What you think Weegee's answer will be next week in response of the CC's walkout??
Ocsimano18 replied to Andrewbassg's topic in General Discussion
They will give a free Missouri for everybody. -

Hizen was underpowered and boring ship, D7P is a fun and not underpowered.
