I’m quite enjoying my D7P, and contrary to the popular belief, I think it to be a full fledged premium ship. It’s a light cruiser, but more durable than some other T8 cruisers, and the heal is not handicapped by an enourmous citadel. The damage output is ok, thanks to the 360 degree turrets, you have excellent AA, and the air strikes are fun. See my current stats below:

Well, new players can now buy themselves T10s, so they don’t need to suffer through the long grind. Also, whales are much more loosy with their money these days. A T8 premium ship was considered expensive back than, now T10 prices are the new whale standard, and they are happy to fork out that kind of money.

I have the Irian, I liked this ship very much, but nowadays I rather play other ships, as new toys gets played more. She’s a light cruiser and very squishy. You can dodge a couple of shells, but cannot endure sustained fire. Also, the ship is ok for kiting, but don’t expect extreme agility from a Russian ship. There is no heal. The guns are quite good, precise, fast flight time, shooting frequently and can set some fires. You should either spam from behind an appropriate island, but the trajectory is quite flat, or you have to kite. It’s important to be very careful when kiting, as getting a cross shot might send you back to the port. Apart from the guns, the highlight is the torpedo armament. You can hit BBs and CAs, but not DDs. The range is 13km, and you can stealth torp. It’s theoretically possible to launch 20 torps with the reload booster, but you have to prepare it carefully, otherwise you might end up getting detected and insta citadelled. In an average game you can expect 2-3 torp hits, which comes handy, and sometimes you hit the jackpot and can flank a bunch of pushing reds from the side, but it’s not something you see in every other match. In summary, you can expect a squishy light cruiser, with enjoyable gunnery, and occasionnal torp hits. If you don’t like light cruisers, e.g. you think that De Zeven Provincien sucks, than Irian is probably not the ship for you.

1.4 sigma is no joy. I was in a game against a Marlborough, and she did not overperform at all, despite being sailed by a good player.

I’ve no issues with premium time. I bought 2 years and got a third one from free loot. I’ll probably get another year in December, because of the new economy. I have the doubloons from last year bought with a 30% coupon, and from super containers. Of course you can grind credits using your free premium days. Personally I bought premium time because I did not want to schedule my playtime whenever WG gives some free premmium days.

WG does these coal auctions for a reason, and it’s not charity. They want to deplete your silver reserves exactly because of the upcoming T11 ships and the related new economy.

It depends on how much do you grind for credits. I also have 120+ Wywerns, but my 200+ million credit reserve was. shrinking a bit recently, because I bougth a few new ships, did one run in the research bureau, and bought heal and fire prevention flags. I could start power grinding credits, but it would restrict my choice of ships. Your mileage may differ, but we can expect like 5 T11 ships soon, so having 200+ million credits will come handy. Personally, I have only a few coal modules, as I prefer spending the coal on ships. Also unique commanders are overpriced for my taste, especially that you have to level them up to be on par with your existing captains. Papa papa signals are a quite common drop from containers. Anyway, I expect some of the new T11 ships to be more interesting than anything on your list, but it comes down to personal preferences.

Because I bid around 110k, first. Then I changed my bid to 40k, realizing that I could buy a T11 for 40k, and that 110k coal worth less than the half of a T10 ship. I just shared my logic.

The limit of 25001 doubloons smells rigged. It’s highly unlikely that exactly 1000 players were above the limit. So it’s possible that there were a lot more players above the limit and WG decided to cash in.

I topped the losing team in my Alsace, and was accused of the loss by a teammate. I had no time to read their full message, but it does not matter. You cannot be the cause of a loss, when you are the last ship standing, with basically no health left and topped your team’s scoreboard. The match was a semi blowout, with half of the enemy ships alive, and only my ship surviving of our team. Also, we had no chance to win on points. These toxic players cannot accept a loss and have to blame someone else.

You simply cannot start pushing with a T8 secondary BB in a T10 game.

So subs were underperforming and WG added this half baked idea of decreased homing distance for double pings/Cruisers/DDs. Well, Cruisers and DDs are more manouverrable as a part of their defense, to increase their dodging ability to compensate aganst weak armor. Devising a mechanism that automatically ignores dodging is very bad game design. Players should make an effort to negate dodging. Sub players just sit in one place and launch auto guided torps. It’s like CVs were launching guided missiles. It completely destroys the player vs player gameplay. WG can tell that they were working on subs for 3 years, but this recent change was not thought through for even 3 hours. Devs, you cannot just test your half baked ideas on the live servers, without killing off your paying playerbase. For the love of God, start to think before you act.

Broadside target: depends on the armor/distance, AP overpens a lot of cruiser armor.

I wanted to get the T7 ship, but the first stats are very disappointing. I’ve seen the promising gameplay videos, without submarines. But is there still a point in pushing and brawling? It’s kind of ironic that WG released the best brawling lines and completly penalized pushing by submarines at the very same day.

Probably not, missions were for the birthday patch.

I have around 40+ port slots, and you can grind them free by playing the game. Credits are similar. They could also give the extra tokens, it wouldn’t be enough to get the T8 anyway. Or give some other bonus, like a 10 pointer. You are allowed to play a ship earlier that you will never play… not even for snowflakes… great. An early access rental T8 would also do it.

Well, WG knows well that people don’t play below T5, there are no premium ship releases below T5, basically those tiers are abandoned. Thanks for nothing.

This is the best offer I've ever gotten from WG, but the game is trending to a direction, where I feel it's not worth investing into it anymore. My main concerns: 1. Nerfable premiums, extreme fast depreciation of any ship 2. Rushed content without any polish 3. Deteriorating gameplay 4. General feeling that WG is trying to squeeze out my money, this is contra productive, I'd have spent much more with WG being less greedy

Their analyzis is failed. Submarines underperform compared to other classes because the let players with less than 50 battles to command subs.

You can live a good life remaining moral, there are always choices.

Maybe they have money, but they are morally bankrupt. Then it’s philosophical/religious/emotional question which is better. Also, corrupt people can be beaten in the long run.
