My personal opinion is that is a fun ship, good but not OP, kind of like Napoli. You have to keep distance till late midgame, as you can get damaged very easily. Also the turret traverse is glacial, and you're better off by equipping the range module to compensate your nerfed range. The 12 NC guns are good, but the AP shell velocity is very slow. I tried the secondary build in my first battle. Don't do it, as you can't get close. Without the planes, it would be an average ship. maybe a bit below average because of the survivability. The planes give a you an universal tool to scout, keep DDs spotted, finish of hiding weak targets, or hard to kill cruisers, punish campers, etc. Also you get the planes quite frequently which makes the gameplay quite enjoyable. Overall, your damage numbers are below of the likes of Jean-Bart-s, Musashi-s and Georgia-s, but you can still get a decent WR thanks to your universal planes. If you're looking for a strong/OP ship, this is not the one. If you're looking for a fun ship, it can be one. Be aware though that the CCs are divided. Half of them found the ship extreme fun, half of them found her a pointless exercise. I'm in the fun camp, but you're advised to watch a couple of gameplay videos before going for the buy. -

What to do with 2,000,000 freeXP? 1. Grab the Hayate because I like torp reload Yugumo and Shima guns? 2 Invest in 3 Research Bureau resets (in 6 months) and get Vampire2? 3. Invest in research bureau and see if something else coming up? 4. Grab Groeningen and or Azuma? 5. Something else? Context, I’m not a DD main, but occassionally enjoy DDs. My favorites are Shimakaza, Smaland and Marceau. I don’t like damage farming, I prefer DD hunting, capping and taking out cruicial targets. I have Daring, but I don’t play her that much. I also have Yoshino. I did not pick up Friesland, because it seemed to be about HE spamming, and I have Smolensk for that, and I play her rarerly. I did not pick up Azuma because I have Yoshino. I have Ohio and Siegfried from RB that I wanted the most.

I’ve seen a couple of gameplay videos. They can easily hit cruisers and able players can even hit the average DD players. They have much more rockets than a single Midway wave, like 15 vs 9 (to be checked). -

Weimar has very short range when your spotter plane is not up. Not convinient to use. when up tiered. She’s excellent for co-op, Narai and T7 ranked.

In general random gameplay, I find IFHE to perform better. Red ships usually remain in your secondary range for a limited time, and even if you set a fire they can damage con. Fire build is definitely better in one on one situation against another secondary BB, when firing HE combined with the secondaries can drain the HP faster than an IFHE build, provided that you don’t have a driveby, where close range broadside shots and eventual torps decide the outcome. -

I would say, there is no best build, but it depends on your personal preferences. Here are my flavors: 1. Rudder shift module instead of burning/flooding time reduction. I tend to use the signal which has the same effect. Better rudder shift allows you to dodge torps and CV attacks better, and also allows you to avoid some broadside shots. It’s also useful when approaching the enemy ship in a brawling situation, as you can wiggle faster to use your back turrest avoiding damage while showing too much broadside. 2. IFHE for secondaries. It’s really good against a lot of ships.Fire is less reliable, but if you are very rich, then you can use both fire flags, and the fire setting captain skill. 3. Heal and fire prevention as the 4 point skills. I like concealement pretty much, but nowadays I’m better at using the terrain to hide myself, when needed. 4. Better aiming for the main guns, as the third module, instead of the secondary range module. It gives you somewhat less secondary range, but secondaries are less reliable at max distance, and the main gun accuracy really gives you better shots, resulting in more main gun damage. Especially useful when you get uptiered, which happens in more than 50% of your battles. 5. I use both the manual secondary, and the improved secondary range skills. -

Actually, it’s not lost revenue, as I would have never ever bought a Nevsky camo. On the other hand, by showing goodwill, they could have opened my wallet for other purchases, so finally it’s lost revenue.

Yes, since I planned to buy Branderburg with the coupon and did not plan to buy Weimar, she came as an extra. I've just went a maiden co-op game, and she was stellar. That AP and torps, oh man. The range is very short, though, but there is a spotter plane.
