What are your personal favourite T5 to T7 ships & why?

Agility means turning to dodge torps. -
30 minutes waiting in ranked gold qualification
Ocsimano18 replied to luokailk's topic in General Discussion
Even in silver, the WR average of the players is above 50%, which is a significant improvement over randoms, and it feels. Unfortunatelly, the toxicity raises, too, as people do not really want to play against skilled people, contrary to what they claim when crying for skill based match making. -
Is FDG Mains or Secondary build BB?
Ocsimano18 replied to Sir_Sinksalot's topic in General Discussion
I see a problem here. I’d rather play Bismarck for 5 weeks than FdG. But seriously, I understand where you’re coming from. I switched to rotating grind as it’s more efficient and burnout proof in the long run. You benefit from the daily win bonuses more, so overall less grind, and you get gameplay variety. I still remember my 72 match Myogi (I nearly stopped playing the game) and 66 match Nagato grinds (lured me to into buying Tirpitz, which turned out to be my most played ship) as total burnouts. Anyway, the biggest burnout was the Prinz Eitel Friedrich grind that led me to stop playing for 6 months, once I got the ship. -
Is FDG Mains or Secondary build BB?
Ocsimano18 replied to Sir_Sinksalot's topic in General Discussion
That’s an old school burnout grind. I’m grinding 8 lines in parallel, and playing 0-2 games with each daily. With premium account it takes about 40 games per T9. I also exploit the 100% and 200% first win days and put all the best camos on. Surely, I won’t finish one line in 5 weeks, but doing 8 lines in parallel, I always finish one in 5 weeks. I just hate burnouts. -

What are your personal favourite T8+ ships & why?
Ocsimano18 replied to Aethervoxx's topic in General Discussion
T8: Tirpitz, torps, good armour, and excellent handling. Atago: excellent guns and torps, good armor for a cruiser, heal Asashio: feels like seal clubbing, even if you get uptiered with her. T9: Georgia: speed and guns Siegfried: torps and guns and tankiness Yugumo: reload booster fun T10: Yamato: legendary module and history Zao: Queen of kiting Shimakaze: concealement, torps, guns alpha. Hakuryu: torp planes -
Just dodgeTM. Seriously, she has the speed and agility to dodge a lot of shells. You don’t play her nose in, but rather like a German/French battle cruiser.

Smaland, Bourgogne, Satsuma.

French cuisine? The Boeuf Bourguignon is somewhat light, but has the most elaborated taste.
-
German battlecruisers from T7, French DDs from T7, Japanese cruisers from T7, except the T9, American modern BBs from T7, German BBs up till T8, Russian BBs, up till T8, French BBs from T7.

For the love of all that is holy, please fix the second US BB line

Being slow and getting BBQ-ed is not the problem. The problem is taking heavy damage from AP, even if you angle. Possible fix: give them a better heal. -
Which Stats are Indicative of a Good Player?
Ocsimano18 replied to DaBung's topic in General Discussion
I check my solo WR over the last 3 weeks to see how am I doing. It correlates well with my average number of ships destroyed. I also check my WR progression during the last three months. -

Farmed in Narai with the German Stallion: To get this Dutch beauty: -
In domination battles you have 3 capture zones (in the most frequent domination mode) that are always there and need to be captured/held. In arms race, the pickup points do not need to be held, just entered after the drops. Also their position changes constantly. Finally, the capture zone apoears in the middle. In the first half of the match your goal should be killing enemy DDs.when they are around the pickup points, or kill any ships that get too close to support the DDs. Also most of the ships show more broadsides when moving from one pick up point to the next, and a lot of them take positions around the next pick up points, so you can move to a crossfire position where you can catch them broadside. Further, a lot of players do not anticipate the central capture zone and remain out of position. A lot of players don’t do much tactical/strategical thinking, but learned what works/does not work in randoms. So if you think tactically, you have an advantage over them, as it takes a long time for them to learn the new mode by trial and error. In fact, they did not even learn the tactics of epicenter that is in the game since a long time. I guess that the domination mode conveys people to better tactical position automatically, so that people out there just for some shooting remain more protected positionally.

Colorado, I have the best T7 BB WR with her.

For experienced players it’s a mode where you can easily farm XP, even with subpar ships, like the Minnesota, due to the heal and reload buffs and the average players not adapting to the tactics required by the new mode, and generally showing much more broadside than in randoms.

Jean Bart: I need some help with this ship.
Ocsimano18 replied to The_Angry_Admiral's topic in General Discussion
Priority target can be replaced by turret traverse, or torpedo protection. Also, not using preventive maintenance on a brawling JB is strange. I understand that you need more fires for the secondary, maybe you can sacrifice the 3 point burn time reduction skill, as you probably have the burn time reduction module installed. -
These are for free crates you get from missions.

How Does The Pommern Compare To The Bismarck?
Ocsimano18 replied to Sir_Sinksalot's topic in General Discussion
I only know about Verdi coming soontm, and so far she has 3x3 406mm guns, 1.7 sigma, 19,1km range, 30sec base reload. Also, we don’t know the currency yet, but we already have a T9 Italian for coal… on the other hand WG can better monetize coal ships with directly selling them for cash, so who knows. Also Marlboro is coming to the dockyard, but she seems to be questionable, and you have to pay for her, but less than for a full fledged T9 premium. Basically you could invest in Marlboro, and continue to collect your coal for Napoli, or gonfor the Carnot. But I’d wait for some reviews on Marlboro first, as you would not want to invest in a Hizen or worse quality ship. The best T9 BBs were Jean-Bart and Georgia, but they are no longer freely obtainable.
