I'm not sure what do you mean by Dps. I think it concerns the situation when you turn off your AA to hide, while the planes are still within your AA range.

WG has an answer (discovered by the NA forum): A ship’s detectability range by air is now equal to the firing range of the ship's AA guns for a period of two seconds after her AA guns cease firing. This affects detectability only in situations where enemy aircraft are within the range of your AA defenses.

I think WG has a choice of keeping a slowly dying number of hardcore players happy or pulling in fresh blood with the submarine feature. Personally I'm more open to changes if they manage to balance them.

After the first couple of games I thought it was a hot mess. Later I realized that I actually liked this hot mess.

If I wanted to show off how much steel I collected, I'd rather sail a Bourgogne worth of 30000 than a Yamato with a camo worth of 10000.

I was a bottom tier DD against the most powerful anti DD CV in the game, with an unicum driver. I shot down the most planes (more than the Halland) and distracted the CV for quite a while. Yes the CV shot me hard, but did not kill me. I was not able to perform the tactic all the time, as I have to go against the planes, and turn on the AA only when spotted. The CV managed to strike me when I was retreating. Compare that with the typical Öland guy you posted who shot down 2 planes while getting killed. A tenfold difference is not insignificant.

It would be ok for 3646 steel, given that a T10 premium camo costs 5000 doubloons and Black, a T9 cruiser was for 14000 steel, and the doubloon price of a T9 premium ship is 19200.

He was not potato, even killed our Halland. I was his target for a while, then he moved on for easier kills. There are simply tactics that only a CV player knows.

I shot down 26 Audacious planes in one battle with my Öland yesterday. The Öland you killed probably doesn't play CV and has no idea about anti CV tactics, as she only killed two of your planes.

I'm skeptical that WG will let a T8 ship to be easy to unlock.

My only dilemma is shall I go for the Mikoyan (probably nerfed to port queen level being an easy to get premium), or shall I get the expendable camos for all the tokens, which seem to be the best deal. (I already have enough XP on Schors to unlock Tallin).

It's a matter of personal taste. Funny thing is that now a DD shots down more planes than CV fighters.

Here is my opinion: 1. IChase has a reason to be bitter about WG, which is in part due to the PR event. Pointing out the built in sunk cost fallacy is important for every players. 2. I think Odin needed a nerf, and a HP nerf is much better than a reload nerf, but they overdid it, I think. Still, Odin can turn out to be a good ship, despite the drama. 4. I'm also a regular player, but according to my rough estimation, 1-2 hours of daily play and 3-4 hours on the weekends seem to be barely enough for the 18 stages, with non unicum level of play. 5. The inflated 35000 doubloon day one price is business as usual at WG. 6. Personally I'd like to have Odin, as I like the Scharnhorst/Gneisenau/Bismarck/Tirpitz. For me, the Graf Spee would become a port queen, as I have much better ships that I rarely play and I got it as a rent two times, and wasn't really impressed. I'd be ok with an 5000 doubloon price with regular play (see the hours above), but if you have to grind more and end up with around 10000 doubloon price, then it's not a fair deal for me.

Damage is everything?

78 games for me. Most of them in Shimakaze and Yamato, slightly above 50% winrate in total. Finally I found it to be entertaining.
