I look for long term investment. I grinded through the questionable Italian line to get Venezia. My stats are all time low in it. I recently discovered the double rudder build and started to enjoy it. It was strong in the latest questionable CB meta, so they're going to nerf it. As for Hakuryu, they're going to nerf it because super unicums do too much damage with AP bombs. I'm happy to make a few citadel hits per game. And Haku was affected the strongest by the introduction of Halland, as Haku's planes are the least armored.

I've checked your stats, you're invested into the German BB line, but have no American ships. If you want to grind your commanders, than getting a German premium worth it. For Agir, you can use a generic BB commander. A secondary commander is not optimal for her, but a mixed build might be ok. As you're good with the Scharnhorst, you'll like the Agir. The Alaska needs a learning curve and commander training. On the other hand, if you'd like to try out a radar cruiser, then Alaska is a good choice. Also, Agir will proabably be accessible for a long time, while Alaska could move into Christmas crates sooner. The question is what do you prefer, more fun, more varied play styles, or synergy for faster growth, or having the strongest ship for ranked/clan wars. For the coal, the best picks are Thunderer and Georgia. If you also have the coal for Georgia, then you can use the same commander for both Alaska ad Georgia, of you don't go for a secondary build. Georgia is more fun, while Thunderer is more competitive. I obtained Georgia later, but have more battles in it, so that sums up my preference.

The torps are there for brawling, you release them when sailing by the enemy, like you do for other German cruisers and the Tirpitz. The hydro is better than on the Alaska. I tend to have less hit with Alaska, but the punch is better against BBs. Alaska has the NC guns with all the advantages (hard hitting) and disadvantages (floaty arcs, do nearly nothing when angled against). I have also seen Agir used as a fire starter (by speccing it into demolition expert), so it's a versatile ship. I have the Alaska, and it's indeed a strong ship, but I rather play a BB than the Alaska. I don't know how it will turn out with Agir in the long run, but so far it was falling in love at the first sight (i.e. battle, see my screenshot above).

He got much better main guns in exchange for the secondaries. Secondaries on a cruiser is a failed concept. You don't have the armor to use them for a long enough time to make them worth. Flamu had some fun with the pre-nerf secondaries, when using them from smoke or from behind a cover. This happens for you in 1 of 10 games, for the rest of them you just suck. Here is a demonstration what Agir can do. One shooting a full health Mogami from 11km (3 citadels, 4 pens, 2 overpens from 9 shells): If you love the Shiny Horse, then you will love this, maybe even more.

Basically people created a false reality by making a drama when Agir was changed form a useless secondary meme boat to a fun strong boat. Alaska might be a bit stronger, but in the fun department I prefer Agir much more. Alaska has a radar, which is good for the team, but a burden for the player, as you have to get into radar range. Also, your HE is not strong enough to kill a DD alone, so you have to rely on your teammates. With Agir, you can have more fun by sneaking up on unsuspecting cruisers and citadelling them, and you can also enjoy the yolo torpedos that Alaska doesn't have. So for the possibly upcoming T9 clan battles, pick Alaska, for having fun in randoms, pick Agir.

I don't like Enterprise because it's OP compared to other CVs. Personally I can deal with it, but half of the playerbase still has no idea how to proceed in a CV match. If your team has more CV analphabets, then the game isn't fun. I had to play the sunken general and ask our CV to kill the low health Bismarck, instead of wasting his planes on a Massachusetts (that he was bent on doing). Also I had to warn our BBs to not split up in the endgame, when the red Enterprise were close to take them out one by one. Back in the RTS era, I won half of my CV matches by telling people to CTRL click the planes. I guess it's similar now, and lot of players don't use AA sectors.

Thanks for the picture. I can see the difference, but it took me some time to notice it. Also my eyes are not that great. As for the anti aliasing, I agree that it's a filter, but it filters out the aliasing noise, which I find extremly annoying when unfiltered. That is, you lose some details, but that details are distortion..

I've just tested FXAA and Image Sharpening, in all possible combinations. I did not notice any difference with the image sharpening, but turning on FXAA made less flickering for thin lines when panning over a ship in port.

The thing is that BBs have a much worse scattering, so even if you aim correctly, the shells won't land there. Wargaming has to fix this "less armor = more armor" issue.

The issue is that you have different refresh rate on your display (usually 60Hz), and on your video card (a varying FPS). So one frame outputted by your video card will be displayed on two different frames by your monitor. This causes the tearing for fast moving objects. You need to synchronize your video card framerate and the refresh rate of your monitor to avoid it. With Vertical Synchronisation (VSync), your display dictates your FPS. If you have a 60Hz monitor, then your FPS will be maxed at 60FPS. This is good, if your video card is fast enough to output 60FPS. If you can only output 45 FPS then you will be out of sync. So reduce the graphic settings in the game till you never get below 60FPS to be completely in sync. There are better technologies, like NVidia's GSync, and AMD's freesync which allows the display to follow the FPS of your video card. So if you output 45FPS, the display uses 45Hz, when your FPS changes to 50, the display follows it. Of course, you cannot move above your display's max refresh rate (usually 60Hz). Gsync monitors are expensive, but newer NVidia cards can work with freesync. You have to set it in the NVidia control panel. Look up your display's and graphics card Freesync (or GSync) compatibility, and also how to enable this mode. If you use FreeSync or GSync, then turn off vsync in the game. Please also note that your cable limits your refresh rate and freesync capability. For example, your display's Display Port may allow freesync while HDMI 2.0 not. Also, HDMI 2.0 can be used for 240Hz at 1080p, 144Hz at 1440p, and 60Hz at 4K, while Display Port 1.2 or higher allows higher refresh rates.

NC has the best accuracy among T8 BBs. Maybe Vlad is better for short ranges, because of the Russian dispersion formula.

I was in a Shimakaze starting at the C cap. Most of our group decided to go for B, while me and a Montana were heading towards C. I capped C, and was torp hit by a Halland. The red team had two DDs, a radar Puerto Rico, and two more ships against the two of us, so I started to retreat. The Montana was focused and he decided that somehow I was responsible for his downfall and started to shoot me, while retreating. He managed to hit me and got pink. I had to dodge his other two salvos that he fired at me before finally taken out. I finished second of the team, around 2000XP, with 2 DD and a BB kill. I know that some players cannot see when it's time to retreat, but blaming a single DD teammate and shooting him was new to me.

Ok, corrected the calculation with the range, Siegfried has about 30% better dispersion compared to Agir. This is a trade off for 30% slower reload and 33% less guns.

I've checked up the values in the Wiki: 1. Siegfried 175m max dispersion (100%) 2. Agir 203m max dispersion (116%) 3. Gneisenau 255m max dispersion (146%) 4. Scharnhorst 258m max dispersion (147%) 5. Bismarck 272m max dispersion (155%) 6. Tirpitz 274m max dispersion (157%) So basically Siegfried is like mounting two additional slot 3 (aiming systems) -7% dispersion modules compared to Agir. As you commented later, the max dispersion is at max range and Siegfried has 11.5% more range, so Siegfried has about 30% better dispersion than Agir in total.

Any source on that? I've heard people complaining more about Siegfried's accuracy than that of Agir.

There were reviews from smaller streamers like Carbine Carlito or Mountbatten. I felt the American bias in NoZoup's review : "I don't know what to say, not a bad ship... (thinking process started, getting stressed that people would not buy American), buy the Alaska".

Agir has more secondaries but with a much shorter range for them. Agir has lower caliber but higher sigma (needs to be checked) on the main guns, and has more of them with faster reload. It gives you less overpens on some cruisers. Siegfried has a plane, while Agir does not have it. Also, the torpedo launchers are located elsewhere.

A lot of people prefer Agir over Siegfried. I don't have Siegfried yet, but I love the Agir!

This was my third DD I mainly grinded in the submarine mode. I still have the Furious to grind, so probably getting back tomorrow.

Encountered @Yedwy in a submarine battle. He was the red Ryujo, I was with my Hatsuharu grinding the Shiratsuyu. No bots were sighted (just the usual BB at line A), but my team evaporated quickly and the red pilot spotted me with his torpedo bombers. We lost, so I had to repeat the battle to finally get the result:
