How dare you ignore the orders from a mighty Uberstellarimperialuniversallordsithgrossadmiral! Didn't you know we owe unflinching obedience to some players among us because THEY say so? Tonight I've been pinged to death, called names, shot at AND reported by one such specimen. There are times when I really want to actively seek a chat ban.

Yes but Le Hardi is noticeably slower and would play differently from the rest. A fleet torpedo boat in the middle of a line of flotilla leaders would be odd.

I play operations regularly to grind T 6 away from Random salt lakes, and by now the majority of the players has got the mission's fundamentals, I haven't lost one in a while. However... #1 never trust the others to get the job done. Protect the carrier yourself as it's likely there will be nobody around when the two little ^edited^ come in for the torpedo run, as the southern part of the map seems to be very popular among torpedo-eaters (most of the players haven't grasped yet that you can kill the CV with ease when she stops at the corner of the map). #2 MM can still screw you up quite royally. Thinking about the game with only 2 cruisers and 3 torpedo boats (most of the players haven't grasped yet that bots are torpedobeat masters, it's pointless to bring in Japanese DDs). Oh, and one of the cruisers was AFK for a while, and woke up only to die an idiots' death. Or the game where a chimp with a Farragut unleashed a full broadside of torps towards the Ranger, thank RNGesus friendly fire does no damage in operations. But hey, the chimp quickly realised his mistake and then tried to stop his own torpedoes shooting them!

IMHO, Le Fantasque needs to be T 9 and Mogador T 10. I would be disappointed by any different solution. Waiting to put a speed flag on Le Fantasque and to hit the speed boost button

Four minute game. Can you beat my speedrun?
Cosseria replied to Blixies's topic in General Discussion
Teamkilling spree ongoing. Three of them were taken out by their own allies. When such BS happens, morale takes quite a blow (and frankly, when I'm in the TK's "team", I lose any will to win, I don't want to carry to victory such ^edited^). -
Anshan carried radar and some HY-2 anti-ship missiles. MY Anshan got none of this. This unfair for I can not obliterate enmy DD sitting in smoke. WG unfair, no balans.

USA DD line or wait for the Pan Asia line?
Cosseria replied to Dykeras's topic in General Discussion
I expect the Pan-Asian line to be overall more enjoyable than the US line. It will have the finest ships of the US line at the top and a lot of interesting ships in lower tiers. Its drawback will be captain specialising, as there will be both gunboats and torpedo DDs. T 6 and 7 will rely heavily on guns but you'll need torp skills in higher tiers. -
Which raises the question: which patch introduced ranks among players? Who gave bullies in big boats the right to discipline mutineers with gunfire?

As you know, the term "BBaby" has been deemed not politically correct by some of the most distinguished members of our community. We shall from now on refer to the category as "low WR BB main players". For realism's sake, a battleship would also take a lot more time to answer the helm as it does in game, thus making torpedoes almost unavoidable. Would you also accept, in the name of game balance, a drastic nerf of battleships' agility, or the "realism" only applies when it's about making battleships invulnerable?
-
Most torpedo DDs have reloads which are quick enough, a good CV captain won't be very far and will have a short turnaround, besides it doesn't need to be the same ship, a BB could sink an enemy then a DD would carpet-torp the spot. Anyway, IMHO it would lead to more static gamepay (players bunching together, ships lurking in ambush for rescuers) and more salt (NOOB DD GO PICK UP SURVIVORS OMG GO PLAY TETRIS UNINSTALL).
-
So I would basically need to sink a ship and I'd be almost granted another kill, as I'll just need to wait for rescuers to slow down over the same spot. The dream of any CV or torpedo DD captain!

Looks are everything - what camo do you like best?
Cosseria replied to ThePurpleSmurf's topic in General Discussion
True, but they did adopt a winter camo for CLs operating off the Aleutians, with white spots over the dark gray The Mutsuki also got a white stripes experimental scheme prewar. I wish WG knew about that. -
Looks are everything - what camo do you like best?
Cosseria replied to ThePurpleSmurf's topic in General Discussion
It was just red paint IIRC. Japanese cruisers had their decks covered with linoleum stripes, hence their brown colour. Linoleum was also used on British DDs, but it was called corticene and it was brown or green. -
Guess what will happen in heavy seas... (Typhoon Cobra, Dec 1944, starring USS Cowpens and North Carolina) Oh, that's cool! The CVL is struggling for her life and totally out of service, the BB is steady as a rock and could almost fight unimpaired!

French CL La Gloire in her 1943 zebra camo I actually like it enough to have built a model of her (the 1/400 scale JSC paper model) Too bad that in game the fictional De Grasse has got it, while the La Gallissonnière has got the anonymous Ms 22... -
- Reading about torps that shouldn't detonate if hitting head-on... - Checking OP's profile: + 60% battles in BBs... All right guys, move on, nothing to see here! As for the rough seas: no thanks, small ships would be more affected and most players would likely get seasick.

MM sugestion to avoid usless games
Cosseria replied to SEN_SEN_Channel_Portugue's topic in General Discussion
Not going to happen, grinding stock ships has to be painful & punishing in order to push players to spend free xp and doubloons. Asking for a stock ships' kindergarten is asking WG to cut a source of income. -
I just sold the La Gallissonnière, purchased Algérie and fitted her nice and tidy spending the usual lavish amount of credits, free xp, doubloons and goats for sacrifices, then WG somehow acknowledged my love for French cruisers and gifted me a De Grasse from a consumables container To be fair, when I noticed the "Supercontainer" banner I was expecting the fearsome Spotting Aircraft mod.

Too busy to cry, too busy to claim CQ being SOO OP~

When I remember that during development that thing had radar too... ***shivers*** -
Adopt a more wary and passive gameplay, that's what I've done since radar and RPF came around. No more far scouting if I'm not 100% sure that no radar ships are around. No capping without support. Keep at least 9 - 12 kms away from any radar, or try to foresee their deployment based on their last known position. Never fire from smoke in the middle of nowhere, always keep an island nearby. Yeah, granted, it's less fun than it used to be.
-
The proposition is well thought-out, but it seems to me an overly complex solution and it gives advantages to poor players, which I consider unfair. Mandatory tutorial missions are the way to go for me too. Besides, bear in mind that any kind of potato control is going against WG's interest.

The Duca. I always get top scores in operations, I die quickly and achieve nothing in randoms. The ship has everything I like, yet for some reasons she just won't work. Granted, there's too much lead in the air with 5 BBs per battle, many of which are T8. Fletcher too, abysmal WR and impact so far. Lo Yang is just jinxed, I bought it to replace the Benson but it proved to be a mistake. I miss so much the 5th 5" mount. My clan friends shout "OH NO NOT THE BAD LUCK SHIP" when I join a division with that synthesis of failure and disgrace.
-
Still too easy. Brace yourself for sinking a few hundred pan-asian or British DDs and achieving clear sky with the König Albert.

OKTYABRSKAYA REVOLUTSIYA in the shop & mission
Cosseria replied to SteDorff's topic in General Discussion
She must have at least one weakness, you don't want the devs to be accused of STRONKRUSSIANBIAS, don't you?
