How are the credits earning/losses? I've been asked to join by my clan but I don't want to get dragged into a credit black hole. Do leased ships have the standard T X repair costs?

It still doesn't make a lot of sense to have such a limited 3 hrs window. Why not 18 - 24 instead? Is there a giga-power-hungry server cluster hosting CBs exclusively, that needs to be powered on for the shortest possible time? Really, the whole thing seems to be designed to p'§§ players off and lead the event to failure, so that someone can say "CBs didn't appeal to the playerbase and won't be repeated". Not that I care that much, but such things puzzle me.
-
The thing is so dumb that it looks like the result of an internal feud between WG staff members. Something like: Guy A wants clan battles Guy B hates guy A and is in charge of CB parameters Guy B adopts the silliest possible parameters (tier X and no CV as to exclude a fair chunk of players, only 3 hrs a day not on every day) Some months later, guy B gets back to the top brass with stats and says "Look, nobody played CB, my friend A made us waste resources on an useless event! Fire him!"
-
Oh wow!!! Another premium BB with rather anonymous stats!!! Words cannot properly express how I feel, I'm looking for an image to visually represent my reaction... Here it is... Seriously WG, did we really need this? At least you put some designing effort in the Kii, this one is nothing but the old Amagi A hull with a camo slapped on and some stats tweaked.

I miss it now and then when it's about radar, but otherwise I can live without it. I know what I have to do (anyway, I won't obey orders), I can see which caps the "team" has chosen looking at the minimap, I don't rely on others to help me, so basically I need no chat. Writing messages to ask for things is distracting, too. Oh, and the "team" is most of the times a bunch of casual bobs who are most likely to insult and report you for whatever reason than to say something helpful and nice, so yes, I can live without the "NOOB DD *Edited" which are flowing very far and unnoticed below me.

I'm on the verge of selling the Fletcher, which is supposed to be the best destroyer in the US line. It's sooo much fun to spend credits to entertain the 3 to 5 radar (expletive standing for women on sale for a sum of money) on the enemy team. And I'm glad I quit the Japanese line at the Kagero, no point in going further. At least the Tashkent, which I utterly despised at first, is giving me a decent WR, thanks to its long range playstyle.

The real big mistake, apart from choosing the crap 1943 camo instead of the Claudus one, is on the 100/47 dual purpose guns. The barrels are sitting too high, the modeler probably got their working principle wrong (the mount had elevating trunnions, which rised as the gun was aimed upwards, so as to mantain the clearence below the breeches). Fact is: the barrels are at 0 elevation, yet their trunnions are on the max elevation position. This is how the thing should like. Hope it gets fixed as the mount isn't the best looking around, with those wrong barrels it looks downright awful.

Aslain's mod pack, and others I believe, have a mod to hide the chat window. I use it and it feels like floating above all that misery, the only thing that can reach me are the map pings. Yet, it could be cumbersome to download a whole 85 MB installer just to hide a freaking chat, I wish the option was provided by the game client (maybe it is? I haven't checked it out lol).

Not going to touch those with a veeery long pole, I turn down all invitations as soon as I realize it's for a CW. I lack T10 experience, high point captains and the will to even try to give those credit sinks camos and modules. I don't want to watch the port for hours while I wait for my clan mates and I dislike highly competitive game modes. Had to hide T 10 into the carousel to eliminate the visual pollution from the interface.

She is a funny co-op toy, nothing more. Clumsy gun handling, turns like a BB, short range both on torps and guns. It will face T 7 cruisers most of the time, so you've been warned.
-
Make Operations count for the missions' achievements. So far, we may progress in missions by every game mode, co-op included, save for Operations. This has no reason to exist, since Operations can be as challenging as randoms. Also, I'd love to have operations for at least a lower and a higher tier too. Maybe T 4 and T 8, no need to redesign the whole thing, just change the tiers of the AI enemy ships.

Then most of the "players" throwing our battles away lack this "will to play", otherwise they wouldn't stick to the "No risks, no rewards (but WTF cares?)" theory. Or else, they must be convinced everybody but them got the mechanics wrong and adhere to their flawed principles, or just lack any will to improve because they're just there to shoot things. Anyway, players who came here in the forum for advice (and who actually asked for advice instead of spouting "MY WR SAX BECAUSE MONGO TEAMS / OP INVISI DD / put some random grievance here") have always been given sound instructions and even personal training offers. That's a very warm welcome IMHO.

I experienced way higher salt concentrations in the atmosphere and a professional TK (got - 3 before he blew up), but apart from that, it was business as usual.
-
NO!!! NOT IN THE CURRENT STATE! Then every salty loser will give you a report knowing that it will harm you (no karma = no rewards). And reports are always more common than compliments, as I run out of compliments every day while my karma is the same since months, no matter the tons of hard carrying done. The whole system has to be thoroughly reworked, if some kind of bonus/malus must be tied to it.
-
Aye, tier 8 is difficult right now, as you'll be 80% bottom tier. However... - "Get closer, get closer, I can't see any hits!" - Try not to get isolated, be it on the vangard or at the map borders. Stay with your cruisers. - WASD harder. Change course and speed regularly when spotted, and most torpedoes will miss.
-
The first two or three battles are decisive for the rest of the session. If I win some, I'm in a good mood and can generally carry games. If I begin by losing, then I get frustrated, I enter battles thinking "Let's see how we're going to throw this one down the drain", and I'm less focused. Tactical thinking and aiming get a blow. Then there are ships you are just going to grind from defeat to defeat (like Fletcher and Ognevoi in my case) and jinxed ships which will never get you a win. The keys for me are: - Quitting after the 3rd or 4th defeat. I'll go play tetris, as I've been advised many times by hearty teammates, or just shut down the PC. - Realising that a defeat means nothing if I played well and netted a fine amount of credits and XP notwithstanding.

Ship "Rentals" = 72 hour ship tryouts reported on NA - anyone seen it on EU?
Cosseria replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
Well, being a T 6 snack for T 8 BBs in a disturbing percentage of your battles is bad. Maybe the ship is just a little above Krasny Krym levels of bad, but she lacks the tools to perform in her natural environment (uptiered battles overburdened with BBs). -

You're forgetting the slow turret traverse, the very slow torps, the laughable AA (but hey! With Def AA consumable!! T 8 CVs be aware!), the mediocre concealement and the very long hull that makes it so easy to hit. That ship is useless in randoms.
