After yesterday's Night of the short ranged Cruiser (19 games in DM with reload mod) this post spoke deeply to me. I've been thinking about this lately, and although I'm a smart boy (my mommy told me so), the only "solution" I came up with was: If you can't beat them, join them. The past months I haven't played any BBs with few exceptions - namely Missouri in which I average over 100k damage in the said period - it's absurdly powerful, just like ALL the BB's around that tier (and being baddie as I truly am, I used the radar maybe in one in 20 games for a great effect). It is time to change that, it's time to stop gimping myself - French BBs here I come.

Well, it's not bad :) First 10 games I had 130k dmg and 2,4 avg kills per game, then some truly horrible games came, but nothing the range would fix. I will keep the reload for now. Seems like the ship is situational itself.

Didn't have the pleasure yet, but I fully realise that the reload upgrade is situational, but so is the range upgrade. So far I'm very satisfied.

Well I did have the reload mounted and decided to try it out before refitting it.... I won't, the reload is crazy and the range is sufficient. I will post the results of today's "test" once I'm done.

Sharks still winning, even though some people predicted mass switch of teams today. Guess it may come later :)

Yeah I play in division, with one friend whose only tier X is the Yamato :) I will go for the range and see how much I am able to hit with the insane travel time.

A useful piece of information, thank you Tuccy. A question though: if the STs are selected from the general game populace, how do you ensure they can keep the NDA? Do you ask them if they can keep a secret? Or do you have some more sophisticated methods?

Like the SC for each tier 10 ship, which wasn't on the PTS last year either you mean? Or the rewards for each 1k games played? Not exactly sure if we're on the same page.

I saw the collection, but just as last year, that is (hopefully) just a part of the anniversary celebration. That does not contain the whole picture, just the collection, right?

Hello thar! After a long long time I feel maybe it's time to get into battleships again. The only one's I'm missing are Montana and the whole of French line. Are the Frenchies worth it? What are the strong and weak points of the ships and the whole line in general? What can I look forward to? Thank you for the input.

I find it much easier to get the Confederate with BBs. The reason is simple - much greater reach allows you to damage bigger number of targets. I wish there was some mod to keep track of Confederate itself - Simple list of ships you damaged for more than 20% in a particular game, that would be immensely helpful to me. I think I will keep my Steven Sellout John Doe on my Des Moines and put the Halsey into my Missouri (and eventually Iowa/Montana). EDIT: Double strike is extremely unlikely for me to get in any ship, though in a BB i usually get one only if I ram the second target. In that scenario the concealment bonus would ensure that my shipwreck will never be found - pretty cool bonus :D

The difference is not massive. If you've been 250th Eagle you would have easily gotten top 1000 as a Shark. Then you would have 2 containers.

Yeah... no. 8 German BB guns can troll you on sub 10 km ranges, if that hasn't happened to you means you don't have enough battles in them.

Yeh, some salvos from very close range do (almost) nothing no matter how you aim. On the other hand I'm not so sure if the BBs need more instagib opportunities - do you really believe that they do?

The Missouri isnt that great, I have no idea why you're complaining that much. Making over a million credits average netto isn't anything to write home about. You can do it yourself (over the course of dozen battles). Just chill, play Iowa and pretend it's a Missoury OP. You can also make the radar "ping" sounds with your mouth if it will make you feel better. On a serious note, the people pointing out your stats (and you crying "muh stats" and "fallacy") have an actual point. Win more games, get more kills and do more damage - you will get more credits. Do you see the causality? They're not bashing you because you are bad in high tiers, they are actually providing a helpfull hint.
