Why is that I wonder? The GK already surpases the 32 mm treshhold. You get 41 mm instead of 32 mm for the 128s and 48 mm instead of 37 mm for the 150s. -

Just a quick question my fellow veteran Captains, was there ever a discount for perma camo for tier Xs? If there was I presume it was during Christmass holidays, but I can't recall if that was the case. Thank you.

This sounds very reasonable. I do often survive long enough in the battle and I'm not keen in brawling soon in the battle in the 32 mm plated ship. I will stick with the longer range I think :)

While 26 km is way way too much, hitting targets on 20.5 km for example is quite common, especially with the shells as fast as Republique's. You lose this option entirely.

Where did you get that number? 15 seconds is the absolute minimum when you have 5% health with Honoré, right?

Well, you cant go lower than 19.68 seconds minus the improved adrenaline rush. So if you're almost dead you can reach just under 15 seconds reload :)

You're both right, but conisder this: The Republique has the fastest shells of all BBs in the game thus giving your targets less time to react. Also most of the movements can be predicted to a certain degree.

Well, if you're a decent shot (which I am), you can hit pretty hard with the balistics of the Republique over 20 km.

Its replacing the standard reload module. You get 6% better reload (18% instead of 12%) but your range gets cut from 26 km (admittedly too much) to just under 20 km. Distance - 26,08 km Reload 21,12 s vs Distance 19,82 km Reload 19,68 s

Hello there, today I finished my "grind" with Alsace and got the Republique. I have to say the rumours were all true, the ship is batshit crazy! It only took me 20 games to blaze through the grind (using all the XP flags and +200% xp camo, but I'm definitely keeping the little beast. I think during those 20 games I got 5 Kraken unleashed achievements. I weren't so lucky with the random teams, and as I played it only solo, my WR suffered a bit despite me being very aggressive and usually carrying my share of the load. I can only say that I envy all of you who played this ship before the nerf, must have been extraordinary experience indeed! The whole French BB line felt very solid, apart from the Republique - but I guess it's just a matter of adjusting to the playstyle and guns. Also, share your pre-nerf and post-nerf Alsace experience please.

I only have a handful of games in the Republic, but so far I have to say it's nothing special. Yamato is considerably tankier and has far superior guns in terms of overmatch, frontal alpha damage and even accuracy. Republic is definitely more agile compared to Yamato, but it doesn't feel THAT nimble tbh. The 30 mm overmatch could be nice, but hitting the nose of angled Hindenburg on 15 km is a huge dice roll anyway - Yamato would do a much better job. The great things about the frenchie are the shell velocity (less time for cruisers to react), and the ability to surprise cruisers with a second salvo after they try to turn away after your first salvo. So far I have the feeling the Republique is good at exploiting enemy's mistakes while Yamato is better against people who know what they're doing (you can't really do much at all against Yamato's firepower). If I had to pick only one, it would definitely be the Yamato for now. But I repeat, I'm very much a Republique novice at the moment. I really wonder if the legendary module is worth it though, sure the ROF is great with it, but having less than 20 km range could prove extremely limiting in a lot of situations.

Well, don't get me wrong. I realise that this won't suddenly change WG's containers marketing strategy. On the other hand, why not point out that the majority of the people (in the sample) agrees that the containers are getting less desirable for them to purchase.

Looks like BBs are getting nerfed right left and center (concealment, damage on penetration of bulges/auxiliary systems, only overpens vs DDs). As a BB main, I still see the necessity of this and although the life will feel harder, the changes are long needed IMHO.

That's funny. My guess would be: 25000 free xp 5% chance. 2500 doubloons 2% chance. If so (or anything close to this) they're the worst containers yet (if you're not desperate for the perma camos for some reason).

Summed up my position perfectly. Interesting poll results so far, but it hardly comes as a big surprise tbh. I wonder if it gets reflected in the container sales as well, but we will never know.

1st try 5 stars. I was the only Blade (DD) on the team and I smoked the Transylvania in the critical moments (the three bigger waves of Zikasas). Easy.
