Giulio Cesare stays as it is + balance of other premiums

I am very grateful for it, but I don't like these statement very much, to be honest: Many of you let us know that the perfect balance in each ship group is not as critical for you as we assumed. If it was critical, why do you keep introducing balance breaking premium ships all the time? This would inevitably end in a circle of release - sell - nerf. According to the majority of your opinions, having several over performing premium ships in the game is not an issue for you. Who said that? No, seriously, can one person on the forum reply to this post and say OP ships are not an issue at all? I thought we just rejected the solution, not the issue. There are not many ships like Giulio Cesare in the game. It was confirmed by Sub_Octavian that if the GC precedent is set, "it wouldn't be fair not to touch all the other OP premiums." But "not many ships" sounds better, I agree. Our balancing process has significantly improved since release. Enter Stalingrad. Despite the fact that we never had a rule which stated "premium ships are not nerfed individually", we indeed did not do it before and we understand why many of you assumed that there is such a rule. EDIT: and we agree, that our past actions supported that feeling. Lost in translation, thanks for pointing it out @Odo_Toothless. What kind of twisted semantics is this? The rule was unwritten, yes. But it was a rule you followed for more than a decade (starting in WoT). The rule was (and still is) clearly defined by your own actions, and even your own words in this article: However, if they do appear, we will take appropriate action. For example, as we do now, stop direct sales and limit their distribution to very special occasions, so that their presence in battles is minimal. All this being said, thank you again WG, for doing the right thing.
  2. I have not thought of that. Seems very likely, if you ask me. Doesn't this sound better though? "Many of you let us know that the perfect balance in each ship group is not as critical for you as we assumed" Distributing the blame for the failed rebalans? I don't think calling people filthy sealclubbers is good PR, but I'm no specialist to be sure. Also: "having several over performing premium ships in the game is not an issue for you" Oh, it is an issue. An issue you created by selling the ships over and over again. I'm saying it is not to be fixed the way you just tested. Interesting feedback collected by WG, I must admit.
  3. Very interesting, but again - an exception to the rule, in my opinion. And by the way, I am not advocating future releases of OP premiums, nor am I ecstatic about the past releases. The game would no doubt be better if there were no overpowered premiums. But WG stood by the tradition of not nerfing individual premium ships, it was the right thing to do and that's all that matters to me as a customer. That's all I'm saying.
  4. There will always be "special" people like yourself. Please don't ever change.
  5. But a happy day for all paying customers.

Giulio Cesare stays as it is + balance of other premiums

I did not expect this at all. Well done, and my faith in WG is restored for a large part. Thank you.

Saipan refund - are we being serious?

So the Saipan is considered "all done"? Well, is there anyone who likes the way Saipan plays now? (I'm pretty bad myself, so I blame myself for not being able to utilize this CV yet).
  8. Yes you are right, of course. I am quite aware that the ship I bought is not physical product. (I can also tell light from dark, smell at least 5 different smells, and recognise faces to some extent). Nevertheless, we are talking about a major change here. The tradition (if you want to call it that) was not to nerf premium vehicles. It was (and still is) in place in WoT, and it carried on to WoWs, until this very moment. If the balance was the true goal, do you feel the GC is the hottest candidate of ALL the ships in the game?
  9. If this was true, it would be the solution. The population would thin out eventually. People leave the game, and even those who stay are not likely to have thousands of games in the same ship. Example: How many Arkansas Beta and Iwaki Alpha do you usually see around (provided you even play that quite niche tier)? Not many. Those are one of the only ships never available again after a short window. This is a point I did not consider before you brought it up. And you are right, it is more important in the long run. I don't know about you, but I don't trust WG sales department with future decisions like this. They LOVE to sell OP premium ships, tanks, planes, you name it.
  10. Sorry If I have came out arrogant, it was not my intention. I am upset at the topic itself, I will admit that. Are you saying that nerfing the GC is not setting the pattern already? Or perhaps I have misunderstood your message. To your post scriptum: I have stopped playing War Thunder two years ago precisely for this reason (wild and unpredictable changes to premium vehicles).
  11. Oh my God And what do you believe truly motivates setting this precedent? Answer me honestly, is it the wild possibility to cash in on OP premiums with impunity or true care for the balance of the game? We already know this precedent is NOT NEEDED. Just look at World of Tanks for Christ's sake!
  12. Not in a random battle, but in Flamu's commentary, I have seen @Mr_Snoww You played it damn well!
  13. Nothing is decided until it's decided. Well, excuse me if I get upset in advance, thank you very much.
  14. What the hell are you even saying? Your wife likes it when you gently stroke her face. She is not fond of you slapping her face whenever you feel like it. She clearly has double standards. Women these days, eh?
  15. That is one hundred percent correct. I believe this is more or less what WG's official reason for nerfing the ship is. Beautifully said, couldn't agree more. Without stability, there is no game. We all know WG likes to release strong premium ships - they obviously sell better. But now they can nerf it whenever? I guess people who are fine with the idea of "renting" OP premiums (before they get balanced) will do just OK.
  16. That would only work if the priority was balancing the game. It is not. The priority is making money (as it should be with any company). The way WG decided to go is... unfortunate, in my opinion.
  17. "It wouldn't be fair to touch GC and not all the other OP ships" Excellent mental gymnastics there.
  18. Hello there, when do directives reset? Was it tuesday?

    Air supply Container. ^^

Speaking of the Devil. My friend just gifted me the 5x container bundle. Got Hood and Vanguard.

    Air supply Container. ^^

I see your point. I'm afraid it's not gonna happen regardless of our opinion though :)

    Air supply Container. ^^

No... they gave you a bunch of less than useful in game currency.

Bow Camping, autobounce, and HE/AP value

Wait... are you really suggesting turning all BBs to HE only by default? Why would I ever fire AP when HE penetration deals 4500 damage? Or did I misinterpret your grand plan?

    Air supply Container. ^^

But that is the point exactly, my man. If you give your friend Cecil the Hood that you got from a container, Cecil will never buy it from WG :(
