Hiccups in performance, is it just me? :/

I've finally found out what my problem was! It was the SATA cable connecting to the HDD, which was defective! I don't know how but it happened but it was somewhat oxidized like if exposed to humidity. :o I took out the cable from the CDROM and plugged it into the HDD ans presto, everything is back to normal. What is strange is that I also run other games and applications from that drive and didn't have any issues with them. Only the Wargaming games (WOWS, WOT, WOW) exhibited the problem. Anyway, it's fixed now.

There were 2 of those processes doing 0% CPU. I killed them anyway and as I expected nothing happened. I say this is not a performance issue because when it is taking too long to show the new ship in port, if I ALT+TAB, ALT+TAB, the ship appears immediately. I know, it's weird. :|

I have no running applications eating CPU and memory occupation is at around 5GB. The CPU is not very loaded. The GPU does most of the work. I don't think this is a performance issue. Something is getting stuck doing nothing for no apparent reason.

No it can start happening as soon as you launch the game. I have not found any pattern up until now. It just happens.

Hiccups in performance, is it just me? :/

Hi, I'm playing the official game, not beta. I also started seeing these hiccups since a couple of weeks ago sometime in the middle of 0.7.6 and continues in 0.7.7. I have very long delays in port when I select another ship. But if I select one which I have already selected before then it is fast. A very weird thing is that sometimes pressing ALT+TAB to switching to another app and immediately switching back to WOWS the ships is immediately displayed. When the game is behaving like this I do not see anything out of the ordinary in CPU% nor disk access. It simply becomes stuck. During the games I also experience short freezes from time to time sudden short silences in the sound/music. I have never had any performance issues playing WOWS. I have always been able to run the game with full settings with good FPS. It is probably just a coincidence but the first time I saw this happen was right after having defragmented the HD and trimmed the SSD. My rig: Windows 10 home Intel Core i5 4460 @ 3.20GHz Haswell 22nm Technology 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 799MHz (10-10-10-30) MSI H97 GAMING 3 (MS-7918) (SOCKET 0) Samsung S22C300 (1920x1080@60Hz) 2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 (MSI) 111GB KINGSTON SV300S37A120G (SSD) 32 °C 931GB Western Digital WDC WD10EZEX-08M2NA0 (SATA) Not the ultimate machine but perfectly able to handle WOWS until now. Possible causes I see for this: - bug in WOWS - WOWS server latency issues - some windows update - graphics card drivers update It still continues to happen in 0.7.7 Hope this helps.
