  1. 12.5 mill diamods, 720 diamonds total collected, with 370 diamonds available for rewards - all while playing from a crapconnection to an EU server from f'ing Afghanistan. Snuck back during lunch breaks, stayed up late many nights, trying to get in battles for this event - and WG just up and F's us all for our devotion to the game. I just don't know what to say about all this....pissed, confused, frustrated
  2. Now at 12.1 million, and unlocked the first "It's a secret"...but no f'ing idea what the g-damn f'ing secret is right now. FFS, can WG publish some f'ing information on what in the actual F is going on!

    Grand Naval Battles

My total diamonds jumped from 11.3 million to 12 million right after the pop-up stating the event was over...so what does that mean? No idea...

    Grand Naval Battles

Yeah, I'm just completely f'ing confused right now. Is it completely over? partially? No f'ing idea, because WG'ing is piss poor with their event updates and communication to the community.
  5. Received a pop-up notice on GNB page "Event is over"... However, my total diamonds then jumped from 11.3 million to 12 million Cashed in some diamonds for the Smith, and needed 80 more for the Katori....now, I'm just f'ing confused. I don't know if the event is actually over, partially over, still running, can cash in diamonds or not. No f'ing clue.

Seems your information was wrong. Just got a notice on the GNB page stating the event was over....

    Grand Naval Battles

One more week....well, that could work then. Need 1mill more diamonds to hit the 12mill mark, and might just finish enough of the missions to get my second reward ship
  8. This has bothered me since the early Closed Beta testing. World of Warships is the latest entry in the Wargaming suite of games. World of Tanks has spotting damage, to include, several missions which require spotting damage to succeed. Many of us notice, and frequently complain, about players who decide to stay on the back line of the map and wait....for those of us who play DDs and CAs, who put our own match at risk of a quick end by spotting and lighting up the enemy fleet so the back line players can get the damage shots....what do we get for it? Do the developers really intend for battles to remain as they are? It should be a relatively easy programming fix to reward players for spotting damage. I'd even go so far as to reward CV players (although on a reduced spotting damage percentage) for spotting enemy ships. Come on now, it's not that hard to do - and you already do it in WoT...so what are you waiting for? Add a spotting damage game mechanic into WoWS!

Unified gold not any soon (if ever)

Sorry, but that answer doesn't work any longer. Any player, new or old, can purchase Tier 8 ships in the premium shop - so that defeats your logic about spoiling the game. The answer is simple - money grab. Wargaming promised, even back during Closed Beta Test, there would be a unified account, and gold and free XP shared between all WG platforms. The game is fully released - there is absolutely no logical reason for excluding WoWS from the unified account, beyond a money grab. The excuse used at one time, was exactly what you said. WG claimed they wanted to prevent long time players from WoT using their massive free XP and gold gains (clan wars) and immediately getting to Tier 10. Why? How is that any different than someone who installs the game, and immediately purchases a Tier 8 Tirpitz (the Lowe of WoWS). They keep kicking this can down the road, and the problem is, we have simply accepted the lie over and over again. Wargaming staff and "moderators" are more crooked, corrupt and deceitful than any politician.

    Unified account?

Oh, sorry....stupid me. I forgot the THIRD option: "moderators" will simply refuse to comment and hope the thread dies away

    [12.6.0] Aslain's WoWS ModPack Installer

I normally use your mediafire.com link, but the frequency of: - failed download - try again - repairing download - download interrupted Well, let's just say after about 10 attempts to download your mod pack yesterday, I gave up. Again, I appreciate, as do many others, the effort and time you put into these modpacks (for WoWS and WoT), and I understand you're making a little money through the websites you utilize to provide the downloads (and I have no issue with that), but they are painful to use for downloads.

I've always enjoyed the mods, and truly appreciate the effort Aslain goes through in keeping these up to date...but the damn websites he uses to post the mods, I f'ing HATE those.

Spotting Damage - only in WoT, NOT in WoWS

@Dragnorak - and you are an example of why the game mechanics should be adjusted. As you mentioned in your own post, you SACRIFICED team play, and the good of the team, and resorted to a more SELFISH playstyle. Apparently this is a topic that has led to some argument. Some who posted in this topic, clearly didn't bother to both read and understand what I wrote. And others further extrapolated the idea further, suggesting significant XP reward, and that wasn't at all what I suggested. However, there should be some TANGIBLE benefit for spotting enemy ships which leads to allied damage inflicted. I have a sneaking suspicion some of the people that are against this idea, have never actually played and done the grind through the DD branches. I'm not just a DD player, I'm grinding all the nations and all the branches. That said, a good DD player (and no, I'm not saying I am...) should get a tangible benefit for putting his match at risk by assisting his team members.

Spotting Damage - only in WoT, NOT in WoWS

It's always funny to read the comments, and see just how many people fail to actually READ and UNDERSTAND. Not once, did I suggest getting XP and credits for merely spotting. I DID, however, suggest, getting some XP for spotting damage....now, in case you're one of the people that can't understand what that means, I'll break it down for you Barney style. A ship, spots and enemy ship. One of your allied ships, shoots and does damage to the ship you are spotting. In turn, you get a "percentage" of XP for spotting damage. Or, we can all just continue to deal with half of our team refusing to move 2km beyond their starting point, and try to back line snipe the entire match. But hey, whatever.

    Unified account?

I've played since CBT, and yes...WG certainly did announce and promise a full unified account, to include gold and premium time shared between all WG platforms. So, why has this yet to occur in WoWS? Someone seems to be on the right track in this thread - it's all about money. WG will CLAIM, it is to stave off an influx of high tier players, with a full bank of gold from Clan Wars in WoT, and keeping those players from immediately "jumping through the tiers" and reaching tiers 9-10 immediately. And yet, just as in WoT, anyone can immediately purchase a Tier 8 premium Tirpitz (the Lowe of WoWS) and get into tier 8-10 matches. WG and WoWS has completely ignored their customers and players, and completely failed to honor their own promise...is anyone really surprised? The WG staff seems as dishonest and insincere as any politician.

Capping??!! Really - capping? Sorry, I'm not one of those players that rushes my DD into the cap circle for XP... And as I'm sure you've seen, the vast majority of CV players in the US line go 2 fighter/1bomber loadout at mid-tiers...and very very few of them bother to read anything in the forums to learn.

    Favourite Ship so far

DDs - Minekaze/Gremy CA - well, pre-Captain skill nerf, it was definitely the Murmansk (had a 17.5km range with Captain skills....oh well) CV - Zuiho/Ryojo BB - it's better we don't talk about how poorly I play this class!

I'm really enjoying the new Russian cruisers which were recently added to the game.

    [DIIN] Divine Intervention Recruiting

We have members that have played WoWS since Closed Beta, and members that are new to the game. We have members that can help teach you the game mechanics, and particular ship strategies. Several of us keep a fleet of low tier ships in port to help new members grind through the early game, and we keep several mid-tier and higher tier ships as well. Unlike other clans, we aren't going to demand you be online at certain times. We aren't going to take up your valuable time with online meetings, or demand you perform other online activities.

    [DIIN] Divine Intervention Recruiting

Whether you are a seasoned Captain or a new player, we have a place for you in the clan. Some of us played during the Closed Beta Access, and have a couple thousand battles worth of experience, and some of our members are new to the game. What we can offer is a friendly and drama free environment, with members that can help teach new players the game mechanics and help them grind, as well as Divisions for super-grinding the mid and high tier levels.
