Adressing Great Naval Battles Event Feedback

Word of caution - a few players I know have been banned from the forums for criticizing the Community Managers. I'm not say it isn't warranted, as even I called them out on several issues. This is their job; they get paid to do this. This isn't a reddit forum of volunteers. The fact of the matter is, they are not inclined to address the issues and questions raised from this event. Those of us who read and post in the forums are a minority of the total player base, so essentially, appeasing us just doesn't matter at all, despite the fact many of us purchase premium time and premium ships, and are in essence, the player base that keeps this game afloat.

    New reporting system!

As I pointed out earlier, bots in World of Tanks have been a problem for years. Has Wargaming done anything to resolve the issue? No. So, if they haven't solved the problem in WoT, which has been around for years, why does anyone think they'll do it in Warships? Now, the question becomes, why won't Wargaming address the issue of bot programs? What tangible benefit is the company receiving by allowing this to happen?

Adressing Great Naval Battles Event Feedback

Why? What is your logic and reasoning? Afraid it would attract more players to the game? Afraid it would reward players for effort in an event? A flag that gives a 5% XP bonus, and you're opposed to that for participation in an event! We're talking about a 50XP reward for a base 1000XP battle. Ok, let's even say the player has a premium account, gets the daily bonus, and has a great battle and pulls in, oh, let's say 4000XP. The flag gives a reward of 200XP as a bonus. Why is that so terrible? What is your logic for being opposed to a 5% XP increase flag? Justify your logic, because, besides the fact you tout your status as an "alpha tester" with over "10K battles", I don't see how you add anything to the discussions.

    Training Room

Enabling the training room is still only possible through a mod download. Why? Why do require players to download a mod in order to enable an inherent game feature? I'm not opposed to mods, quite the opposite. I frequently use mod ship icons, because, honestly, the in game ship icons are complete garbage. This game has been open release and out of closed beta for quite some time now....enable the damn features without requiring mod downloads.

Wait, the Kamikaze is for sale?

Because they wanted to feel like special little snowflakes....and now, they can't....

Wait, the Kamikaze is for sale?

  7. Ah, but as one of these points is currently being discussed in another thread....well. How is the player base doing? Is the player base in WoWS currently growing, or decreasing? How many active players do we currently have in WoWS? Now, compare this to WoT. WoT has two EU servers - and on any given night, during prime playing hours, each will have anywhere from 60K to 80K players. How many do we get in WoWS? IF - and wow, that's a big f'ing IF - Wargaming would actually honor their promise (I know - fantasy), and allow full account unification, I am certain a decent percentage of WoT players would also add WoWS. As it stands now, except for some of us dumb bastards, a lot of WoT players are refusing to come to WoWS because the accounts are NOT unified. They have earned and stock-piled a fair amount of gold and free XP in WoT. BUT, Wargaming won't allow them to use that in WoWS. Now, please - before someone starts up with the same tired argument of "but then they'll just free xp or buy their way to tier 10" - so what. Anyone can currently buy a premium ship that immediately puts them into tier 8-10 battles. Same in WoT, same in WoWS. My counter-argument to that is simple. If a player in WoT has accumulated a large portion of free XP, that is clearly indicative of a seasoned gamer that understands game meta and game mechanics, and will very quickly become a good player in WoWS. For those who accumulated large portions of gold through clan wars in WoT, the same logic would apply. By refusing to fully unify the accounts, as previously promised, Wargaming is only hurting the game in the long term. But, then again...Russian logic...

    [SUGGESTION] Expanded Radio Commands

In theory, not a bad idea. In practice, probably not so much. Consider what we have currently for a player base in randoms - how many people are going to take the time to learn the sequences, and how many of those will actually use them?

    Training Room

Your logic doesn't hold. In World of Tanks, ummhmmm, ALSO a Wargaming platform, training rooms are available WITHOUT a mod or config edit, are ROUTINELY used, and don't seem to tax or impact the server or resources. Try again...
  11. Ectar posted that in September of LAST F'ING YEAR. It is simply f'ing amazing that "a few things to be worked out" can't be accomplished in a timely manner. The level of Russian type propaganda lately is un-f'ing-believable

    Hahahahahaha....

    Training Room

Not true. Currently, with a mod, you can enable a training room, however, only a certain number are allowed at one time, same as in WoT.
  14. SFCGunny313

    ignore this topic

The wait time for a match was horrendously long, and that was in WoT which, on a good night, can have 80K+ people on an EU server. To try that game mode in Warships, with our pathetic player base...you'd be waiting an eternity for a match.
  15. SFCGunny313

    ignore this topic

Concur with the majority here. The game mode you proposed won't work. As stated, it was tried in World of Tanks, and failed miserably, and Warships has a much much smaller population as well as anemic tech trees.

    Training Room

Well, WG staff....what is the official answer to this question?
  17. SFCGunny313

The state of the game after 1 year

Partially agree, in so far as the RN I cannot understand the continued bias towards the RU market. What WG does, is use the EU and NA markets to fund the games, so they can continue appeasing the players in the RU market. Given the current economic state of affairs in RU, we certainly can deduce the RU players are NOT putting up the majority of funds to keep these games going...no no...that my friends, is up to the EU and NA markets. However, rather than try to appease the markets that actually PAY for the product, they continue to appease the RU crowd....and that, will likely never change.
  18. SFCGunny313

    Training Room

Again, because WG included the coding and mechanics in the game, it should NOT take a mod, nor manual changes to a config file.

Then go to Steam and play Steel Ocean...

    New reporting system!

That's right....everyone is out to get the famous Blogis and report him because he's always soooooo good....whatever. Your post added nothing to the discussion. Now, for the OP. I think we can all agree the current reporting system is lacking. However, WG is very unlikely to make any serious changes. Even in WoT, the reporting system is lacking. As a few others mentioned, your proposal could very easily lead to unwarranted bans. I'm sure you, as well as many of us, don't want that to happen. WG can easily adjust the coding to recognize bot programs - however, again I'll refer to WoT, where for years this has been a problem. The answer - well, I don't have one...but I'm not sure you're proposal is the correct answer.
  21. SFCGunny313

    Training Room

Don't worry about Blogis...he truly believes he is the ultimate WoWS player and has the correct answer for everything
  22. SFCGunny313

The state of the game after 1 year

And what, in your infinite logic, makes the un-unified accounts the "best part"? Oh, let me guess...you'll reply with how unifying the accounts will suddenly lead so many players to jump right up to tiers 8-10? Is that it? Please tell me that's not it.
  23. SFCGunny313

    Training Room

Why? Training, just as it implies. Getting a group of team members/clan members/fleet members together to practice tactics, or to learn strengths and weaknesses of ships, ranges, etc. I'm sorry if you weren't able to comprehend the need for it, and oh, by the way, it is coded into the game, so yes, WG did have plans for it. The problem is, it takes a mod to enable it, and that was the basis of my post.
  24. Now, please....correct me if I'm wrong here MrConway, and ALL the other WG staff members here... But your job, what you actually get PAID to do...is to read the forums and communicate with the community. This isn't reddit, you're not doing this as a hobby...this is your actual JOB.
