You get to play only 1 ship in 2019! Which one it is ?
NicramDuel replied to imElitez's topic in General Discussion
Conqeror. By far not my favourite ship, and to be honest, I sometimes feel ashamed when resorting to it and making other players wonder why they even started the client that day... but if there's one single ship I had to choose to enjoy the game regardless of wins/losses, noobs on teams, current missions, etc... it's got to be this ship. Win a game? Yay. Lose a game? Doesn't matter - had se...I mean, got damage. Mission time? Achievements count towards HoF progress? Getting dreadnought/fireproof/unsinkable, maybe even witherer/arsonist, and 2M pot dam in 2 out of 3 games. 80-500 points, regardless of game outcome. During the RN event, I hardly ever played more than a single day actively (6-8 hours), on the other 3 days I just logged in for about an hour each weekend(4 day HoF-period). Failed the top 5% only twice due to IRL... otherwise, the Conqueror brought those achievements and points home each time. Lots of camos, idiots on the team didn't matter. It is the only ship in the game, which might indeed lack true fun and skill cap to play - still contributes to sustaining your mental welfare among so many potatoes and in such a salty and brain-damaging environment. -
[EDITED] All working now - just had to restart the client. :)
-
yup, got it!:) Thank you!:)
-
Hi! EDIT: Figured it out already!:) Things are looking great so far!:)

Well, they definitely made it into Japan - that's what the Internet says!

OP's right. I've already been playing this game for over a year. But no matter how many pokéballs I use to level up my Paladins, I still couldn't get a royal flush in any of the weekly raids.
-
So, what exactly are we getting rewarded for? -Is the 15k coal and 500 steel still up as an offer? -And what's up with those who managed to complete the 10 games / 3 wins last week? -When, and for what exactly are the rewards going to be awarded?

Go Navy HoF - did the scores get bugged after the server restart?
NicramDuel posted a topic in General Discussion
Hey Folks! Anyone else notice this too? Is this intended? Or some kind of bug? Currently, Silver league requires 0 points to reach, and the Superior league (top 5%) requirement has dropped by about 600(!) points, from 4400+ to 3800. Currently, I am safely in the top 5%, but before the server restart, I still had about 200 points to go. I want no surprises in the morning - aiming for those 3 extra Mosaic camos. Which of the scorings is now the accurate one? The one before the restart, or the current one? @Crysantos -
Go Navy HoF - did the scores get bugged after the server restart?
NicramDuel replied to NicramDuel's topic in General Discussion
Seems the server took one heck of a citadel hit this night, lol... :D -
Server down transfering you.. Server down again for repair..
NicramDuel replied to Migantium_Mashum's topic in General Discussion
Same here. I would like to continue the Royal Navy arc, please. Hoping the server reset will be done fast. Thank you Crysantos for the fast reply. Any chance on letting us know an approximation for when things will be up and running? -
Bug in Cherry Blossom - 5 Star impossible
NicramDuel replied to ForlornSailor's topic in General Discussion
No. Cherry Blossom is a completely different operation, which is in no way related to any of the Halloween operations. -
Which forum members have you seen in random battles?
NicramDuel replied to Cobra6's topic in General Discussion
Been in a random co-op, just doing the daily 50% first wins, and bumped into @NothingButTheRain in his beautiful Scarab-camo! I need one, too (three, four)! Dynamo was a long time ago, 'twas about time! :D -
Is the Musashi permanently available? (Problem with HSF camo)
NicramDuel replied to Citronvand's topic in General Discussion
I would like to apologize in advance for necrothreading. Now that we are getting closer and closer to that particular patch in which at least one of the newly teased T9 special ships arrive (who knows? maybe we might be literally days from it)... Musashi's future obtainability becomes a serious question. Of course, up to date there was no info even vaguely hinted about removing Her from the tech-tree as a freemium or from the arsenal as a coalie...But you never know. Any chance of an official statement regarding this matter? @MrConway -
The map "North" has been redesigned. Which version do you like better? New version: Old version:

Funny and sad game situations shown with map screenshots.
NicramDuel replied to albinbino's topic in General Discussion
Not exactly a minimap situation. But still quite a commonplace feeling nowadays: You look at your MM before the game, you finally see some great squads and good-emblemmed players on your team while the enemy has near-nothing. You're all happy that finally you'll get that +50% daily exp...only to start the chat like this, and know from the first 30 seconds of the game that this will be just one more of those "special" losses... But since this thread requires a minimap image, I did my very best to accurately replicate the Master Plan unfold on the map! -
Take it! Take 'em in all the flavours! Bonus CV-evacuation floatation devices now included! ...Acually, this is quite a good impression of a future 3v3 CV game including average spesulz probably - given the 2-CV's-per-team-max limit will ever be raised lol! ...Or the new sprites for remaining spectators after three minutes of the average random battles of today

The problem is not with being terrible at the game, and having no clue on how to get better. The problem is being so self-centered as to not give a ding about all this, and happily joining up time and time again, with no regard to the other 11 who are doomed yet again due to a parental mistake a few decades ago. The same rules applied to World of Warplanes back in the day, too - no naming and shaming (regardless of the magnitude of negative impact: In the game there was hardly any countering mechanism to teamkilling - and boy, was it commonplace!). So veteran, fed-up, forum-using players just took it elsewhere. There was a separate FB-group practically dedicated to discussing "interplayer relations", and taking collective action against a select few particularly bad cases. Here, however, with a reporting system of no consequences and a highly functioning anti-teamkill mechanism (you are usually destroyed before your intended team-target goes down), chances are limited to do anything that actually hurts a highly problematic player - even if it could be synchronized elsewhere. Sadly, things aren't likely to change - but if the carrier rework seems to have few or any benefits at all...then reducing the possible skill, - and impact-gap between two opposing CV's is one of them. Without discussing whether this is being fair or not for those few players who developed amazing skills in today's CV management... The negative impact of you having a totally clueless gummybear as your CV will quite probably dampen after the rework goes live. That said, there will always still be row1/10'ing DD's, borderhumping BB's, and 5k damage/game cruisers in high tiers by the plenty even after the new CV gameplay is introduced... :(

Then you have not seen enough during the last week of/in Dynamo. There were at least three very good reasons for that odd DD in every second game to happily drop a permanent anchor once it halted in the Dunkirk Circle, a mere minute after the game started. On a more serious note, RNG events and lootboxes are here to stay. There's a good chance of sales going down with - more people having less reasons to subscribe for (all tech trees can be completed in less than 2 years of active play anyways. And in accordance to recent trends, literally millions of free exp can be generated in a matter of a week to prepare for future tech tree releases), - having hardly any universally strong/broken premium ships to invest in. Tirpitz has been nerfed to hell and back and to hell again, Kutuzov/Belfast/Kamikaze R/Guilio C./Graf Z. are all currently unavailable, - all the frustration going on nowadays (randoms being unenjoyable overall, everyone starsaving in ranked along with the "legend" of game-rigging on WG's behalf...with no real positive changes on the horizon). You could always buy a new shiny premium ship! But for what? It'll be a 50% winrate anyways. However... if there's any form of hype created around something we otherwise would have never even thought of...and some good marketing to go with it...WG's got us reaching to our damn wallets again. Even though I myself made a nigh-perfect vow not to provide a single copper to the developers until I find a bit more fun in this game: this new method of "buy just 2 more guineas besides the 48 you'll earn... in fact, here, take 10, just now, just for you, all for less than an euro/dollar, and you earned yourself a brand new T8 premium destroyer!"...I actually, for the first time since the Moskva Space Camo...reached for my credit card. Even though I am so much against rewarding them at the current state of the game. I fell for it, and I will fall for this again, sadly. Just too good of an offer to walk by. And the situation is similar with the premium containers. Although I personally am immune to them due to great disgust - they are actually nearly as tempting as finishing this event with a nearly fully worked-for Cossack, and quite some players have already fallen to their bait - and will, in the future. As long as trickery and the artificial scarcity of available rewards for actual effort are in place... WG will not only not slow down with all this RNG in events&purchases - but will get only worse.

Your ranked seasons (miniseasons, too) are breaking records. Each and every single one of them...without fail, on all occasions, you manage to learn NOTHING from the past, or just mess it up even more. - Now it's 8v8 instead of 7v7 - with the dumb top guy (only) saves the star on the losing side - inter-team intricacies will skyrocket even more. Did you not learn what this starsaving crap makes people do? Did you not read the forum feedbacks (again)? Either 1. remove the starsave system completely, or 2. Best 50% of players keep their stars on losing team, worst 50% on the winning team get nothing. Then it'll truly be a progress game of only the best. - STILL it's a matter of what team and what (non)shitty players you are (un)fortunate enough to be teamed up with, and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about personal skills. IS IT SO GOD DAMN HARD TO EVEN _C_O_N_S_I_D_E_R_ Individual ratings after each game? such as capping, potential damage, damage dealt in ship percentages, staying clear of rows A,B, I, J, and lines 1,2,9,10, damage upon spotting, etc? Is this the sole capacity of developers here? If it is so hard, then just make a ranked season of 1v1's then. Who cares? wouldn't be any less fun or frustrating than it already is now. - And of all things, to top it off... DIVISIONS?! HERE TOO?! ANOTHER random-factor? Will you be facing 2 hurricane-league 3-man-jokes with a team of 8 randomly scurrying max-gale-league guys? Viva competitive equality, and even starting chances! Just like in Starcraft, LoL, HoTS, and any other - all players start with exactly the same chances, vs equally skilled players of the ladder, with even chances of knowing/not knowing their teammates. Oh, wait... WG... Never mind, here all are equal. Just some are more equal than others. At this point, in all seriousness, I would be very pleased to have an official answer: Is it, or is it not the case, that the sole concept of Single-Player-Mode-Competitive-Gaming in WG games is the ability to "Win at any cost, regardless of any odds, differences and random factors you are faced with, in which scenario your personal prowess in other aspects of the game is left with total disregard"? I'm done testing. Screw the 5 special flags. This is impossible, stupid, and an utter farce even at this level. JUST HOW FRIGGIN' LONG ARE WE EXPECTED TO TEST THIS CRAP FOR THE REWARDS?! And we're expected to be able to save stars/win 6 times in a row TWICE on the _4_ DAYS OF THE TESTSERVER?! ...with all this not even being completely clarified either in the news?! So, which is it? Earn rank 1, or earn 1 rank?! Not only have you not fixed the descriptions for round 2 of the PTS...you haven't even READ the request for this in the bug report section... Seriously, what is wrong with you? Are you even TRYING to test anything and get feedback? What is going on? Is everyone on vacation in Prague? Here's the few attempts I gave your crappy next season of blitzranked. Can't say I haven't tried. Plus one single join-and-quit in a coop to at least reward me with something for my huge mistake to even log in to the PTS for this farce. I hope you have a nicer day than I had.

Which forum members have you seen in random battles?
NicramDuel replied to Cobra6's topic in General Discussion
It appears that the English Channel is even smaller than it seems! :D Always meeting friendly fellow captains in those stormy waters! :D It was a pleasure - yet again!:D And definitely, it was an easy 5-star run...especially compared to what we both had to face later on - I earned my first-ever Will to win achievement after somehow ending up alone against a number of torp bombers and the last pack of Schnellboots who were, at that stage, particularly aggressive... :D It's such a popular operation, and still so much to farm - I have a strong hunch that today wasn't the last time we fought side by side! :D Salutations, Sir Rain! -
Which forum members have you seen in random battles?
NicramDuel replied to Cobra6's topic in General Discussion
Ahh, you beat me to it!:D It was a fun run, with so many good hitters that I actually had to wait behind for the late-as-always-foursome of Schnellboats at the 12:00 mark to have a chance at the usual natural selection medal :D True - if we have so few Sims, then it's up to the Russians to make "Minskmeat" out of those planes :D I can't remember getting any more than 45 of them at once though... It was a pleasure! Fair seas, and see you soon, too! -
How fast is your "Free XP" gathering?
NicramDuel replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
To be honest, I would be doing operations nearly non-stop even if free exp and super flags were non-existent. Especially when I have some levelling-up to do with an operation-eligible ship - but even if this was not the case. With randoms being a parody of successfully employing nearly any level of skill via solo play, I honestly, without a joke, have even resorted to playing _ranked_ to chill out and try to have fun. Because there, at least, a higher percentage of players actually try to do something at all than in randoms. Apart from the occasional 7 vs 7 though, in the past 2 weeks, I have been doing nearly only co-op (something that I have hardly done in the past year at all) and operations. As long as both of the main game-modes offer only anger, uneasiness, frustration, the sensation of being utterly crappy, and with RNG influencing the game primarily - regardless of anything you do... I really need an alternative to still be able to call this game fun to any extent. Although my personal stats show slight improvement compared to previous results in terms of performance, 64 games show a nearly 10% (okay, 8+, let's be accurate) drop of winrate, and worse survivability. Yes, someone has to tank as a last ditch effort, and as a tribute to the glorious camos BB's bring to the game and should not even have a scratch laid upon them for the duration of the f(l)ight. Tried it, usually to no avail. Co-op's and Operations however (as long as Ultimate frontier and the Raptor rescue is avoided) grant a sensation of actually being rewarded for the input you make to the game. And in terms of exp, both have exceptionally good yields in terms of gain/hour - unless you join co-op with a BB which will usually have no time to rake in damage/sufficient kills for 400-500 base exp. I give randoms a shot every day, but end up giving up after the third loss in a row. As for the fun in operations? It actually does exist for me. It's always awesome when I finally get something right: killing a schnellboat from 9.5 km's, doing a 4-5-kill sequence with consecutively perfect salvos, singlehandedly wiping out the entire first wave of aircraft in Cherry Blossom, raking in 30+ citadels in the opening stages of Aegis, etc. Also, the fact that you'll mostly get what you've bargained for when starting the game is great. If you go in AA-specced, you'll get plane kills. If you go in as a gunboat, you will make kills. If you have short range, you won't have to worry about no one coming into range due to everyone slinging from 20 km+ max ranges. It's almost as if this mode was not part of a WG game, lol. Until the other mods are so far away from any decency regarding rewarding input - Operations will remain one of my main sources of fun for sure!
