We're totally messed up in CW too - there are 14 of us on Teamspeak, half of us in trouble because we can't even see each other ingame to reinvite a division. Let alone start the game.

I was supposed to finish the Benham daily missions today

With all due respect to OP and to all who could not land Benham for free, I feel you. I couldn't even land Hill. However, don't forget...and NEVER forget two things: -WalletGaming -Whales. As humans, the developers on one part, MIGHT have understood that now it is summer for us, and most of us have holidays. Mostly booked in advance or planned for. And that a lot of us will be spending less time in the game. Although I'm not too sure actually about that "understanding" of theirs((Belo)russian emotion(lessnes)s is a thing, after all), you never know. As a company however, they are out to make cash. And there is no better time to make it then now, apparently. The event was purposefully designed to allow you ONE SINGLE day of leave from doing the daily missions - EXACTLY because many of us would be forced to either ditch a vacation, or to take computers with us (both unlikely). And this is where the paywall comes in. With minor-to-decent participation, you could get most of the tokens, but some or more of them would have to be purchased - still for less than even half price of what this thing might cost later. It's a disgusting, but effective practice... and the main problem is, many more events will go this way. I never played WoT, but my clan had a very discouraging and scary discussion two days ago. The recent events and cashwalls are showing, apparently, the same tendency as WoT, where things are much worse today than here in wows. Yet, in all honesty, we should not be surprised. At all. WalletGaming keeps asking us real questions, on a very open and public manner - and we answered them: - Hi Folks! Thank you for being with us for these two and a half years and for supporting us! We are greatful for your financial support. We have a new idea though: You can recieve new ships anytime, maybe even cheaper than ever before if you are LUCKYTM: from now on, we offer you the chance to try your luck with lootboxes! Are you in or out, Captains? The forums exploded, and apparently, no one wanted any of that. However, a minority didn't mind - in fact, a minority within the minority even saw this as a challenge: no more mass Kutuzovs and Belfasts. Only the select few will be able to get them. Remember the post of one of the guys during the winter when you had a CHANCE to get Kutu/Belfast/Nikolai/Kamikaze from boxes? The guy spent 500 or 700 Euros. Can't remember, but I couldn't believe what I was reading. Overall, the community gave its answer. "Yes. Even if less of us will make purchases, the few that do will spend more overall than in your earlier system, WG. Lootboxing: We are in!" - Would you, players, be willing to pay a TRULY MINUTE amount of money (under a single Euro/Pound/Dollar) for a remarkably powerful T8 even if you worked your way all the way up to this discount? it was the Cossack. The forums were outraged (me included), but the community answered with a yes (me included, lol). Many, oh so many of us finally payed that 1 Euro for the cossack. "Yes WG, we are ready to open our wallets". - Okay, great! Next up, we'll give you something new! How about for our next silver line of ships, you can pre-aquire them, with an up to 99.999% chance (subject financial background), all the way to T8! Nope, nothing exceptional about them, but you'll have them 2 months before the average potato! Also, just to make your efforts worth it, you'll get a guarantee of a plethora of consumables to go with it in the process! The community, again, answered: "Yes, we are willing to pay for silver techtree ships just to brag about them in advance". -"Guys, don't worry, we are seeking your every demand! We realised that you have already, in the past, decided to pay for a reward ship. In other events, you were eager to simply pay a larger sum. Would you be happy if we combined the two? You can pay for a never-before-seen-level-reward-ship (T9!), in fact, this time you can actually earn it for free. In exchange however, you will have to grind this time (no slacking!), and anyone falling short will have to pay more than just an Euro. You in?" Well, in the form of a heckload of new DD's with their captains having nigh-no-clue how to use them apart from torpedobeats, we, as a community, have again, given our approval for this. Even after this difficult event, yet again, triggered unsatisfaction on all forums and conversations. -And last, here we are today, with the next question already up, starting in just a few days (reading in Dasha Perova is advised): "Okay guys, thank you for bearing with us! It seems we all loved this T9-thing! We've combined two old ideas, yet again, to keep you pleased, Captains! Again, you can win a T9! This time, it's the new french tech tree, silver-li...uh...the new, superstrong destroyer, Something! We love lucky people, so after you spend all your event tokens on the precurring boxes of the event (like during Irian), you can spend up to 30k doubloons if Lady Luck doesn't favour you, but you might be lucky, and get it with just 1k doubloons - we'll provide those from the previous 4 boxes just to show how awesome we are! And guys, here's the catch! These are NOT lootboxes! Since you will know exactly what you open from them! Okay, you maybe don't know what's coming from the next box, but hey, this way it can't be called lootboxing at all, woohoo! Right? Right! So, all's awesome, are you in, Captains?" I already know the answer, I can see the T9 silvers in battles within the next week. Thing is, where we stand currently seems cruel, and moneyhungry. This combined with WG's attitude makes things worse, of course, but in the end, it was our community, with so many freeloaders (Ooooh, I will not pay a penny for online gaming!!11one11!1), and a few well-endowed whales (in terms of cash reserves) who got this game's events and premium shop to the state they are in and in the state they are headed to. And it seems, judging from WoT that we are still having it quite good - with a highly dedicated grind (this means neglecting IRL totally) or with a moderately high payment we can still land the rewards that would cost us a fortune in WoT. Well, if things go as they are now, in one year's time we'll be there, too.
  4. Hah, the moments when one realizes that half of his team in co-op are friends and clannies! :D That day was the last before a week-long holiday, but am now back, and looking forward to many more such rounds! :D

    Upcoming Battleship buff

Wow. All this confusion and the typical, regular, annually scheduled reinventing of fundamental game mechanics by WG. I can't be more happier that I decided back in october to co-op-grind each tech tree to T10 by WoWS's 4th anniversary (Ok, Ibuki, Alsace and Iowa are actually sent to randoms). You never know which ship will be next up for the nerfbat and which one will emerge as an opness incarnate. No real stress, relatively fast, and ultimately, you'll always end up with having at least SOMETHING that's playable (just make sure you farm coal and free exp to some extent). Hell, with the recent Ai changes in the gamemode (bots delaying game ending by running away for instance), and this armor+ifhe change comming up, even co-op grinding may never be the same again. Boy am I glad I'm done with the grind in a month. Seems the main lesson in all of this was, after all: "Get all trees to t10, at least one should always work out regardless of new patches - and avoid spending IRL cash all together: permacamos will go down the drain with nerfbatted ships just as fast as the newest shiny-sparkling premiums lose their benefits due to random unexpected fundamental game mechanic changes.

Savage Battle - How do you like them?

Whew. That was one hell of a tone there, especially regarding your usual posts. I'm not sure what's going on IRL, or what triggered you so badly today, but I'm not really sure what to make of it. Especially since only 3 of my 6 points were focused on the actual mod, with one of these barely scraping it - instead, it too, along with the other 3 is focused on WG's tendency - not the event itself. We clearly represent two different, yet two acceptable viewpoints. Playing as a squad is, as you said something WG promotes, and is, in essence, available for all. A few of us who posted here actually do happen to have at least one friend ingame who can and would tag along if called upon - it's more of the "I just can't bother" or the "as a personal policy, I won't" issue (no double standards on my behalf here - feel free to check my rate of squad vs non-squad games). Yes, it's a personal choice: You get 2 guys -> you'll pound all solo players or you get no-one and clearly you won't have good rates. The former is easily the comfortable solution, the later will somehow more easily develop if it has finally been nigh-officially stated that your original, favourite game (World of Warplanes) was destroyed due to high-tier squadclubbing. Not that any similar problem can be openly seen here (yet or perhaps ever, who knows), but if it happened just once in someone's life, it burns into you. It has into me. In this mode, too, I would be perfectly happy with a MM that either fills the game with full squads, or no squads at all - as one squad vs 9 random guys will have an even stronger effect on the game than in randoms or rankeds. As for the rest of my earlier long post: For this first reiteration, I will not go through all my points yet. The majority is focused at the mentality behind 1: this event, and 2: generally, wg. Although it makes no hard choices to choose between irl and the game, it is still frustrating that if I DARE to take out _2_ days for IRL from the game, I am already forced to pay for the final reward. Summer should be about fun and resting - this event now binds you to a computer at a level of ruthlessness that no other event has done to date, as far as I remember. Secondly, I challenged WG recent promises (yes, some of us were indeed waiting for CV's to return to coops for various reasons), Thirdly I challenged the priorities of WG: putting much effort into perhaps fun, yet not fully necessary features - while openly avoiding clear issues such as for instance nearly _7_ months passing without even touching either of the removed operations (dynamo, cherry, ultimate frontier, raptor rescue, hermes). And while focusing on "new features", only the artists of WG are doing an exceptional job. I love the new commanders in each such event, the background of our playground, the ports, etc. It's the copy-paste and perhaps just simple negligence of all other departments I despise. Oh, wait - community management is one more section of the company I'm okay with. It's another issue that at a higher level (comm mgmt --> actual developers) the communication dies completely, despite CM claiming otherwise. Fourthly (as far as I can remember), I reflected on how pathetically the priorities have been set on the test servers and what live server issues are directly linked to it (yes, I would like to get those good flags with any other means than yet another stupid ranked sprint as has been for the last 2 or 3 PT phases). And finally, of course, I couldn't hold back my opinion regarding my "love" for the lootbox and moneyhungry system. That was triggered by the t5 ship's only form of availability this time: since it would be too cheap as a t5, it had to be, as usual, bundled. Tl;dr: I have mixed, yet not necessarily that bad feelings about the hobo torps mod - it is the general and typical attitude of WG that I was reflecting on. That being said, you are naturally free to have and express your own opinion, as any other of us are - this is that threas, after all!:)

Savage Battle - How do you like them?

Honestly, savage mode so far builds on every single aspect, save no CV presence, that I despise/hate/try to avoid in the game that is still called WoWS in 2019. I wouldn't be surprised to see something like this as an answer in one of the upcoming news bulletins: - We understand you all are fed up with the approximately 50% winrate most of you are on in other modes. Winning once every 2 battles, regardless of what you do. We have confirmed through our data that the majority of players do not enjoy the excessive amount of free victories our game provides: Your wishes have been heard! We are proud to present our new, 25% winrate scheme! We understand that victories may still reach an alarmingly high rate in some instances, but most of you can now enjoy the thrill of letting others win 75% of the time! - After extensive feedback, we have agreed that some of you are just too strong when playing alone. We understand the "git gud" factor present in some of your gameplays, and that in theory anyone may embark on this endeavour - but for now we would like to balance the all-too-common player skill of solo combatants with allowing divisions to join. Rest assured, this is for balancing-only reasons, and only those games will have divs included where our sophisticated MM detects a far too obvious result in favour of any single player. Fear not, this is not as bad as it sounds, as we have proof of divisions not influencing game outcomes in any form. Honestly, we have tried a match ourselves from the office on the test server! Igor got a disconnect, Boris couldn't move around and shoot with one hand due to a phonecall, and Stanislav got stuck on a texture bug within the first 2 minutes. See? That's all the proof you need. - We understand that it's summer for you, and most of you will be going on holidays in july. Well, you should be more considerate about us, where do you think we're going?! The only tropical paradise we'll get to see this summer is the southeastern beach on two brothers (#nohomo, we mean the map). Lootboxes aren't really working anyways, so what better way to finally get ourselves some well-deserved cash than to create a shorter-than-a-month-long event, with a first-time-ever-reward of a T9 ship, with only a single day's allowance to miss gaming? Oh, c'mon! You know we're right! It is still so easy to obtain, never been any easier than this! Just open up a few premium containers, for just a few, nominal and metaphorical cents/pennies, and not only will you get all the missing fuel...you'll even get some expandable camo's! Seriously guys, we're this awesome, giving all this out for free, and you, while going on super-expensive holidays, can't even afford a breadcrumb's price to get your beloved trophies?! Do this, and you just have a few hundred battles to grind credits, nothing more, and there you have your superduper, one and only, t9 torpiespammie über dd! What else would you be wanting to do in the middle of summer, anyways? Go outside? Hahaha! - Whaddya mean this is a remake of another event? When was the last time you could have a hobo water-balloon-fight? 4 teams! Cities! Cool graphix! Free prizes! Shuddup! - Dynamo? Cherry Blossom? Roflstomp games? Steam Account-only benefits? CV's returning to co-ops as we have promised for this patch? Wut r u tookin aboot? - P.S.: We even surprised you with our well-tested results from the test servers: CV's have been calibrated perfectly regarding the enourmous amount of inflowing data. This was made possible by us finally creating relevant test server missions regarding the CV's instead of brainlessly condemning our testing playerbase to pointless test-server ranked sprints. We honestly do not understand you guys, all this crying! (Honest P.S.: Not that I care any more about cv nerfs or buffs, what I do usually care about is hiding the true bonuses of the test server behind ranked "sprint"-walls, instead of using us as tools to test truly relevant issues. And the fact that summer holidays should not be used as a poor excuse to sell even more premium boxes. Disregarding the insane amount of grind required to get the Benham, and the massive loss rates, the mode itself is actually fun and refreshing after all other dulled aspects of WoWS. Won't be playing more than a few though - Benham can wait for a future doubloon discount after I get a few more supercontainers, lol.)
  8. I apologize OP, I will be that single bad guy who will openly downvote the suggestion - even if I have mixed feelings about it, and can otherwise actually relate to the points you've made. I am one of those players who would like to see this op be reintroduced the same way it used to be. And I'll go even further: yes, I confess, for personal reasons. It is not because I require any more exp or free exp-grinding as I am already sitting on 3.5M+ free exp after purchasing every single freemium ship in game to date, and with tech trees being nearly complete already. It is the thrill and fun of the last version of Dynamo that I miss. It didn't matter if you had 6 completely clueless little mistakes on your team - you could practically solo, and definitely duo the whole operation in a mahan or a minsk (+ probably other ships, too). You weren't subject to losses via tardplay in this op, unlike in nearly each other op or gamemode in WoWS: here if you knew what to do, you would always win. The arcade-style shootathon was something I also loved: it had a good feel to it to just blow those schnellboots out of the water with a single salvo - often 6 in a row. It had hardly anything to do with the things WoWS regularly represents nowadays... it was a good place to go for some actual fun, and that "get away from it all" feeling. I don't mind the exp and credit parts. Although I would like to point out that exp farming has shifted to another OP I wouldn't like to name, but 4 ships are more than enough there too, and 3.5k base exp's are a sinch in 4-player-mode there too. And is also tard-proof if you bring your own team who can compensate for any "external shortcomings" during the week it's active. But I would not like to see Dynamo tier/ship adjusted, and in all honesty, I'd leave the A.I. as it is, too. Even if it did have shortcomings and made things even easier. P.S.: My downvote and requesting unchangedness are the two things that'll probably press your idea through, actually. :D Nowadays, I can't help but to feel WG is out to get me anyways lol. :D

    Ranked "save a star": problems/solutions

Instead of the stars and starsaving system, I would rather suggest a not-too-complicated, yet total overhaul of the ranked system. Most aspects of the game are already linked to teamplay and wins. Ranked however should really truly be about personal value and personal performance imho. To show who is #1 material, who is #3, #10, #15, etc (# = ranks). Nearly every other game that prides itself to be an Esport or boast any significance as a competitive game relies on personal ratings - and WoWS also has the infrastructure to do this. And the funny thing is: we're even currently using it! We've been using it for months! I'm talking about the dynamic list of daily/weekly events: top 50%, top 25%, top 10%, top 5%, top 100, and the dynamic list for naval battles. All that should be done is to take the same template, and instead of cumulative points, just add the current average exp ratio or personal rating of all players participating in the given ranked season. You can either go up or down after each match, and you would still be accurately positioned. These exp ratios and PR's are already calculated by the game. Take a look at either the wows-numbers dotcom website, or even on our profiles ingame, and you can see a complicated, yet accurate performance value on the website, and an exp value on our ingame profiles. It displays a poor, and casual attitude to reward high ranks solely based on wins minus losses plus one for each top exp gaining if on losing side - a more reflective approach would raise the standards of WoWS itself, I think. And implementing this is no rocket science, or anywhere near major updates like the CV rework, for instance. Just use the same ranking system of the events, and have a requirement of certain played battles to qualify for the actual ranks. Wins would still be very important, because like in any other game mode, PR's and base exp are significantly boosted after a victory. This, however, as could be seen in so many cases, does not necessarily mean the losing team will all have lower ratings for the game (all but one losing a star in the current system) than the winning team's members (who all get stars). We've all had that afk, j10-hugger stormtrooper-accuracy, 300-base-exp guy who we've carried to victory. 46% winrate r1's for instance. Well, there wouldn't be any of those too high up in the ranks in the new system. Speaking of which, the ranks would have some borders where they're cut off from others. For instance, one pool would be for the lower-50% of players, another pool would be between top 50% and top 25%, while the top 25% fight among themselves - just like it is now with the ranks. Rank 10's won't meet rank 3's, nor will they meet rank 16's (Second league, first league, premier league is a good thing in the current system already). The only question I am uncertain about is what happens to those who manage to rank out at any given time when they hit the top X percent, and have the minimum required games to go with the rating. Tl;dr: - Remove the star system completely, and introduce a PR/average exp toplist instead, similarly to the one we've had for the past few events (top X% --> top Y% --> top 100, etc). - Anyone to qualify with their PR for ranks would need at least X (say, 50 or 100) battles in total for that season, so that you can't rank out on your first, lucky, 3000 base exp round. - Every 5 or 10% bracet represents a rank: there would be 10 or 20 ranks (to divide rewards or create diversity). - I am not sure how ranking out at R#1 would happen though. many options could play here, but perhaps one solution would be to "lock" R#1's once or twice during the season, or to introduce a "hard cap" (rating or average base exp) where one would rank out anyways. The whole idea is that while this is a team game, and team effort would still count a lot... PR and average base exp are still the stats that are the least reliant on what people fate washes you together with. Instead, they are quite accurate indicators of what you are capable of.
  10. I came here expecting the post of a whale spending €1000 and landing a Kutuzov. Instead I found a great gesture to a great gesture! +1!
  11. P.S.: I know you can't give away info, perhaps it's not even available to you yet. But speaking about expectations, last year was amazing with practically every ship getting discounts in rotation for the summer holidays. So far, compared to that, june's been a bummer. I know you don't want to make a routine out of this as probably everyone will start saving up for summer-only purchases, but boy would doing that again be able to generate some juicy revenues for WG when all the new and 1-2 month-old recruits get nice savings on ships of their desires. And we'd feel the love, too. Oh, and obviously, please remember the WoWS birthday this year too - we definitely remember, and the new guys would have a chance to see how WE celebrate things here in WoWS! Yeah, all that sounded like a spoiled kid's shopping list for Santa. Ah well.
  12. I And I think this is awesome! If this doesn't get new players, I'm not sure what will. The level of incentives has been maxed out! Even if there will be multiaccounts, there should be a fair share of new players. This is the first step, and seemingly, it will have granted good results. The main issue is with what happens when these players reach their midgame. Already a few ships at t7-t8, perhaps with some attempts at ranked battles. And quite possibly, becoming part of a smaller or larger community. The lootboxes are one thing. Even though I personally hate them, they clearly work (otherwise you would have reverted back to fixed sales). And they have a great alternative: work hard, work persistently, and you'll have enough free exp/coal for a high-tier cashprinter, competitive ship. The nature of the gaming experience however, is totally different... - The constant event after event thing (now the hobo-wars are coming after the Victory competition) always reaps cool rewards while keeping us hooked, but is taxing and tiring at the same time. - Most updates are very well recieved, but some (yes, the CV thing) are a complete blunder, and should be analyzed/revoked if too detrimental to the game. There's nothing wrong with saying "we didn't quite get it right, we'll re-work it", but there is a lot wrong with being oblivious to the fact. - Starsaving system in ranked, MM, roflstomps, prolonged bugs considered to be top priority by the majority (e.g. the "module penetration flag fix" for the 0 damage penetration bug took waaaay too long), etc... Generally, it can be said that every game, and every company behind it will always have some actualized problems and difficulties. That's okay. The problem, and the reason why so many players (have apparently indeed, after all) quit is because the experience they loved and still love is somewhat going downhill - with all cries for help being left to drift away in the void, unanswered. While a select few developers have a very sterile and isolated idea of how to redesign the game, this is often NOT what the playerbase wants. We would like to be heard, and see these requests at least, partially met. And not get smacked in the face instead, repeatedly. If this current standing can be changed to better communication between players and development (No! I do not mean our Community Managers who do your absolute BEST here every day of every week - KUDOS! I mean how devs actually recieve your reports in their office and how we see the results ingame), you will retain a massive playerbase for years...or hell, even decades. WoW did it, and so can you, with such an awesome core product! However, if this doesn't change eventually, WoWShips will become exactly what WoWPlanes has become after the suicide update of 2.0.
  13. This is actually a very nice incentive! Let's hope it works. However, I would like to point out that this alone will only temporarily solve issues with the diminishing playerbase. The recruitment system of the game is very nice. The game artists are amazing. The content designers are doing their best, too. But as long as leadership's and the programming department's competence is limited to selling as much lootboxes as possible while completely disregarding any voiced opinions of the players (the last 3-4 ranked seasons, the CV update, fundamental MM issues, etc), and completely forgetting about bugs such as the cliff/clear shot indicator, you will lose most of the new players in a shorter-than-average time in terms of personal gaming lifecycle. Still, I wish WG, and us, the best of luck with gaining as many new recruits as possible. Genuine recruits of course, not multiaccs (actually, either is better than nothing, lol!).
  14. NicramDuel

    Can you find it?

A guy from the neighbouring battle just on the other side of your grid was humping his own map's edge too hard. Your enemy Hindi or Seattle was probably doing the same thing - and by the time the two separate battle's participants spotted each other, it was too late. They collided, exploded, and would have both been credited with the "breaking the fourth wall" achievement, but WG was too lazy to implement it yet, so they just recieved the extra kills each. That, or your Soyuz used the new russian "respawn ship" consumable.
  15. 14:00 Server time, getting close to the peak period, I joined one of my regular co-op rounds. Somehow (this is actually quite common nowadays) MM found no other suitable lifeform to join me in my potatothon, so I recieved a fully fledged fleet of 7 bot-partners. In any other given circumstance/gamemode I always follow the "either something nice or nothing at all" doctrine in terms of chat... but somehow in this game, due to only bots (myself included) being present, I let loose my suppressed, inner-child-self. I addressed my teammates in a non-sophisticated manner, then proceeded with the game. Unbeknownst to me, one of my fellow bots, the Hipper-piloting :Miaoulis: actually took my insults to heart: had he the chatting abilities of World of Warplanes bots granted to him by WoWS developers, I would have most certainly recieved a piece of his mind, and would have been forced to promptly apologize. Unfortunately, being deprived of the ability to communicate, he decided to exert his revenge and mete out justice when the right time comes. And soon enough, it did. After further angering him by claiming the kills of an opposing DD and cruiser, I needed to borrow some time for my torps to replenish, so I made a circuit around the final enemy at "C", a Monarch, targeted to be my last kill. This was the last straw for :Miaoulis:. Not only have I insulted him at the start of battle, took two kills from him later, but I was about to take the trophy of another legendary co-op captain, who some of you may already know as :Forbin:. You see, :Miaoulis: and :Forbin: are engaged in a long-lasting rivalry: they seek each other out when on opposing teams, and go to extreme measures to outperform one another if teamed up against all odds. See for yourself in co-op's: you may even catch a glimpse of them ramming each other, with all the hate they have mustered against one another! Anyways. Little did I realize that I had become yet a tiny speck of dust in the unfolding climatic battle of titans, two influential giants of the co-op community about to clash. And here I was, about to ruin it all with my interference and launching of my own torps. So, :Miaoulis:, after coming to the conclusion that it was at this point that I am no longer wanted in this battle, decided to act. After careful consideration of his real opponent, :Forbin:'s limited options, :Miaoulis: switched his focus to me. The orders were given to swiftly release every single available starboard torpedo at that irritating, loud-mouth little Kagero, me. Luck however, favoured me today. The distance between our ships made it possible for sudden evasive manoeuvrings, and I slipped past all 6 deadly fish. Succeeding at this, I could hear in the ether of the force the thumping sound of anger in the Hipper's bridge. Upset, but not unfocused, :Miaoulis: set his gaze back on his arch rival, :Forbin:, in the helplessly drifting Monarch. This would have been a sweet and prolonged victory for our Hipper captain, shooting away and away and away at the slowly rotating battleship before sending it to a watery grave... but the nuissance of that pesky destroyer was still present, with the threat of me securing the kill too soon. So just for the sake of safety, the Hipper captain decided to shut this down quickly, and launched all of the perfectly positioned port-side torpedoes. A few seconds later, all that remained of the Monarch's memory was a smoking, sinking husk. :Miaoulis:, although couldn't dispatch me out of revenge, at least took away a lot of potential exp, and the glory of the Monarch kill. What further would ensue between us will forever remain a mystery, however. Before either of us could decide on any further course of actions, fate decided it for us. In came the Vladivostok of the enemy team, promptly dispatching both of us (at the slight cost of taking the few torpedoes I had available at that time). I would be pleased to write down how I apologized for my manners and for hurting my teammate bot to the heart or fundamental algorithm, but alas, I cannot. Bots seem to be so antisocial that not only do they not speak at all in chat...they will not even accept messages outside of battle. :( In all honesty, after this battle, I checked my karma. I wouldn't have been surprised if at least some of the bots would have reported me. Luckily, karma was intact. Good for me. There is a valuable lesson to be learned here. Whatever you do, do NOT swear or display poor manners in this game. Even if you are the sole human / living being in the game. You do NOT want to upset these bots. They do not forget. They will hunt you down, and punish you for being bad. They are dangerous, and they will certainly not care about going pink/red to make their point clear. Beware! P.S.: I sincerely apologize for the naming and shaming of bots in this thread: this, if happened, has been completely unintentional! Both :Miaoulis: and :Forbin: are highly respected and competent bots of our community: generally outperforming approximately 80% of the server's live population, I have to point out that this was perhaps a one-off occurance, with :Miaoulis: probably just having a hard day - I will do my best too to avoid similar conflicts between myself and our revered bots!

Ram bow-in - no dam at all, and torps searching 4 love

Indeed :D I was quite shocked to see this. Nowadays I play mostly co-op, and ramming my ship is a regular part of my plan - especially with my 3 remaining BB branches - one of which is exactly the NC as well. I have yet to experience this, but oh my gooooood I want to experience this first-hand, too :D Not sure if this is a glitch or not, but the speed was definitely enough to squash both of you at your hp's... My only guess perhaps would be that you two hit each other pixel-perfectly on the tip of the nose - which might have caused a computing error... ...or... ...this is again that ridiculously shabby new design of the "penetration bug": hit a module that has no hp, no damage will occur. But I have yet to see any special mini-modules at the tip of the noses, or a case of two mutually saturated noses negating any ram damage. In all honesty, I do not know what else to make of this, except "WG at its finest" again, lol Very cool occurance and kudos to capturing it for us !

Now I understand why they say Sinop can bow tank anything... :D

    High Tier Economy

T10 economy: rough, luckily. Otherwise, you would have everyone sailing at t10 only from as soon as they get their first toptier ship. Like in WoWP. That sure worked out, lol. BTW, easy F2P model #1 here: 1. Download WoWS Public Test, and complete the "20 daily missions" monthly mission for good signals. 2. Get a friend and join up for Aegis. 1 goes Leander (for 30-40 citadels on the northwestern second-wave ship-group + torps vs the 2 BB"s), other goes random CV (nontorps against initial wave, torps vs transportguards while sailing up to d9, and torps again vs Kongo before suicide-tanking to save all 5 transports in the end). 1500+ base exp (around 20k free), rinse and repeat. 3. After 375000 or 1M free exp, buy whatever Freemium's currently available. 4. Enjoy money printing. F2P model #2: 1. Keep doing daily missions and open only "more resources" containers. 2. After about 4 months, use the coupon in the armory, and buy JB/Salem. 3. Enjoy money printing. You don't have to get premium time, or buy premium ships. Earn a freemium ship after some effort - you'll be able to finance 3-4 bad T10 games from a single freemium-run.
  19. That's the one :D
  20. A short, yet really fun battle, indeed! :D We completely tore the middle of the map apart, with at least two kills for both of us if I recall it well - looking forward to many more such rounds!:D

    100% bonus exp today

Thank you WG for the +50% (in total, 100%) bonus exp's for the first win of the day! Brings back the memories of good old times when the weekends regularly yielded this bonus - it's good to experience this experience with experience again!

    Early stoppage

I did too, but I misunderstood early stoppage and still playing it out for situations when some players would rather hit the quit button. To the rest I can agree! :)

    Early stoppage

" Posted 4 minutes ago Im heavily against early stoppage, even if my team messed up, there are plenty of times where I could still achieve something, whether its a kraken or sometrhing else, I still want to play it out. Im not sure what you all think about it, but Im sure all of us have expierenced this at some point. You are having a good game and the game ends. Very frustrating. Vote for change! " I understand your frustration. However, you have to be aware of player preferences. What some of us find challenging and fun, others will hate it. Some players may wish to leave the battle earl...wait. Wait. Wait. I think I just understood what you've meant: The game ending too early, without the scores filling up (E.G.: 1000 - 620, etc). Especially in games like co-op, this is truly upsetting, especially when I have finally lined up my attack for that last-out-of-three BB, my torps are en-route, and they would net another 80k damage, +1 kill, and + points in the event...only to have the game end prematurely on someone else killing another of the two ships earlier. I take back my "no" vote, and would change it to "yes". The fault was most probably with me, but I feel you didn't fully clarify what you meant with the thread on first read. Please clarify - the uncertain phrasing could lead to others voting wrongly, too.

    Missouri owners

Hell, this thing is profitable without even doing anything. Ok, I lied. I hit an ally along the way. All's good!

which PREMIUM ships is worth that money (resource)?

In all honesty, at this point I'm not sure about 2 things. 1. Why is Kutu and Belfast even mentioned? Unless you're a whale, you're not going to get them (unless yoU're extremely lucky with SC's), and even if you want to buy, you can only do so during special lootbox events. If, by any margin you CAN land one of them - congrats, either of them is a massive boost to your arsenal. 2. Meta changes. Ships change. Even premium ones. You simply can't expect to forever have the exact same product you purchased a year ago, a month ago...hell, even just a week ago. I am personally doing all I can to avoid puting in any financial support towards WG as long as their lootbox, shadownerf, and powercreep schemes are operational. Be wary: you are NOT buying what you see as a permanent addition to your fleet for the long run with any purchase in the game. Practically, only prem time, doubloons and credits are white-and-black purchases. Not ships. These being said and out of the way, I STRONGLY urge anyone to focus on coal ships first, freemium ships second, and only reach for wallets as a final resort. Even if you are new to the game, start piling up coal. Coal and Free exp ships are all facestomper ships, currently even Azuma is due to its freshness and mostly better players owning it. The T5 Oct Revo is a firm and inexpensive addition to a new player: Fun, relatively forgiving, and powerful. With the current event and some time to play each day, the Jean Bart is where my bet lays. Expensive on first sight, but a real monster, and with actually much less in common with the lackluster Richelieu than you'd think. Much more accurate, the reload booster gimmick does wonders - and all beneficial Richelieu traits are inherited, too. Oh, and it prints cash nicely, too. From free exp ships, from the current haul I'd pick up Nelson and Alaska, in any order. The former isn't expensive, and is quite good in randoms, profitable even in co-op... and a balance-breaker in operations like Narai and Ultimate Frontier (if they bring it back again). The Alaska is expensive, but has good consumables, relatively durable, and with decent damage output. Steel ships: Forget Neustrashimy, the others are up to your playstyle though, and are all usable. Flint: you'll get smoke, so you can burn anything while retaining the safety of smoke - just avoid radars. T7 is also a good thing here. Black: Since CV rework, it's probably painful to play - yet a good t9 DD. Stalin: Strong, and worshipped as a god by many - it's actually surprisingly one-sided (you have no hydro: you're a torpinata, 20 second reload will make it difficult to react to any sudden changes) - I am one of the few who prefer the much more flexible Moskva, even with a slightly smaller damage potential and a somewhat more fragile hull. Half the reload time, hydro make up for the other shortcomings - and since they're practically the same playstyle (Stalin mostly excels at punishing nonperfect angling and some survivability), I would think twice before dedicating 21k steel (after coupon) to the cause. Yes, better than Moskva in nearly all aspects. But not all. With the current meta and so many players now knowing what to do against it, It is far from the worshipped god it used to be. Static gameplay, providing a massive obstacle from enemy point of view, but excessively boring and featureless gameplay. Bourgogne: In all honesty, it is with her that my heart truly lies. Current meta: she makes love to whole squadrons of planes if necessary. CV's will pay the price for taking (on) her. She has reload booster for 12 cannons. She is fast, and excels at creating flanks or just throwing herself around the battlefield. She is agile, and has a feasible choice of either using skilled AP volleys or just burning $hit up with nearly as much efficiency as a Conqueror. Mind you, the Conqueror is just about to get an actually hittable citadel, making the later much less foolproof. The drawback of Bourgogne is that she isn't dirctly as durable in hp or armor scheme as other T10 BB's, but she makes up for this with dodging and disengage speeds. She is very fun to play. If you are very impatient, or do not find the above ships tempting, and really want to buy something, get Massachusetts. Insanely strong brawling potential, brutal American Freedom-Forging AP volleys and AA def, she is considered perhaps THE best current T8 pick available for both/either doubloons and irl cash. I would advice against CV's if you do not yet know how to play them. The Enterprise is said to be a beast, but if you have no understanding of the class, you won't have fun. Tl, dr: My votes go on: Coal: - Okt Revo - Jean Bart -Wait for Yoshino Free exp: - Nelson - Alaska Steel: - Bourgogne for lots of fun, regardless of meta - Stalin if static gameplay is preferred IRL cash: - Nothing - Massa - Still nothing
