    The way WG is going about handling mod is changing their course and setting a new heading, as far as viewing how mods are handled. They want more control. I do not fear this at all, it would only speed up the process of eliminating rogue mods and securing WGs new stance on how to deal with it. If, and hopefully when, this spills over in to WoT I can not wait to see lots of people's stats plummet as their true skill will show. ;-)

    In a couple of weeks it will all be over, when patch 0.3.1 comes. I wonder how games are going to turn out then. At the moment it's all 'noob BB' or 'hopeless BBs' as we use ranging shots to get the enemy while others do not. I think some people that have not used the mod have gotten used to others that do and "seen" how BBs can hit again and again from 18km+ and anyone who can not reproduce it are 'fail'. :-D Oh man, can not wait for the first evening after 0.3.1 is launched and see how it all plays out.
  7. Had something like this yesterday, as I said in the other thread, screenshot, report, and the reply I got from support was pretty much they did want people like that in beta. As far as I can tell he is no longer in the beta.

    I can hit and sink a DD with around 70% certainty (a bit more if it is just one-two hits) up to a range of 10 km in a Cruiser, with no mod. You need to have a tad experience with leading though, I pick a point in front of the DD where I reckon its centre will be when the shells land then I add a half-degree and fire while slowly pulling the aim-circle towards the DD. It stretches the salvo out in a thin line and it really works. Done it for days, sunk a lot of DDs in this way and I am sure they may think I use the mod when doing so. And the latter is the toxic part, since we all think people who make incredible shots are using the mod. The hug-the-wall tactic is generally a perfect way to see if they use it as the red dot will appear at the distance your ship would have travelled if the wall was not there to stop you. I had three ships, two cruisers and a BB, firing at me while I went up three map-squares and continually miss. It wasn't until the CV sent torpedo bombers that I bought it. I am pretty sure I could have soloed that group alone without making an effort if those planes had not arrived.

    Difficult to answer until you've done them all though, but so far I'd say 4, 5 and 6. Equally.

    Not all crit's are created equal, 14000 crit in the New Orleans is a good crit and 18000 in the Amagi is a bad crit.

    Seen this a few times now, just out from a game as well. Last enemy ship refuses to let the match end in a win and runs around the map waiting for the timer to expire. Yes, it is a perfectly valid way in sense of game-play but would/do you do it? Personally I'd never stall for time if I was the last ship left, I'd try my best to take as many as them I could out and maybe by a hail Mary even win the bleeding match.

    Got some PL guy wishing disease and death upon all, man can't they just stay in WoT. :-) Good thing though, he got hammered from everyone else without anyone else turning to bad words. He cried for help, please help, rescue me, I'm getting killed soon. And people helped him even, when he got ganked everyone on the team was noobs. lol. I support ticket with screen-shot coming up.

  18. I was in my Yubari and got my engine knocked out but was at fairly full health when an enemy Myogi at around 1/3 health decided to just ram me amidships. I knew I was going to go down, but I reckon he might follow or at least take a lot of damage doing so but he hardly got any damage at all. Now, a cruiser ain't just a bamboo tree slapping against ones hull and a BB ramming such should take quite some damage in doing so and quite possibly have a high risk of flooding of the forward compartments.

    You're addressing the situation leading up the such an event, not the question which is would you run from the enemy just to make it a draw if the time was too short on the timer for them to cap? It can be answered with a yes and no as well.

    Going to reiterate what I said earlier though, when I specified, it is for those situations where you do not have time to cap and the only way to win is by eliminating all enemy ships.

    With posts like these all I read is I can't win, please nerf/buff something so I can win. A battleship could sustain several torpedoes, Yamato took 7 torpedoes and 12 bombs before going down. If you can not sneak up on a BB to launch torpedoes it could very well mean the BB captain is better at piloting his ship. A lot of BBs will show you their stern and you'll be either taken to pieces by their aft batteries or by those that come to their aid. DDs work best in packs of 2 or 3. Nothing as terrifying as having 3 DDs chasing you down. People will put themselves in a position to kill something, even if it be camping an island. If you get ganked by it, then it's your own fault. Especially if you suspect and expect they are there. If it is too difficult to get to them, choose another target. It's been "suggested" that there may come some sort of limiting on how much people can spam torpedoes by possibly making them expensive ammo. If you spam them, it costs. 3 DDs in a game against 5 BBs is a cakewalk if you work together, you can almost continuously have smokescreens up and work your way towards the target. Seen it, done it, and it works. Even if they all concentrate on you it means they are not shooting at the rest of the guys, and you can dodge/evade almost ad-nauseum in the smoke while your team hammers them down. Unless you do not fancy this a team-effort, and want the kills to yourself. None of what you described is something that can not be worked around by playing the game better, learning strategies and utilizing tactics.

    And the worst part is that when you do actually manage to kill someone in two shots either by being lucky or by having a good lead on the target, everyone will think you're using the mod. That destroys the community, everyone will get paranoid as well. Last night I clipped three DDs by leading well and draggig the shots from my broadside. I would not be surprised, at all, if they thought I was cheating. Which really sucks. But, as said, soon with 0.3.1 it will no longer be an issue.

    Well, as Ectar said, another way to curb the launching enthusiasm is to make torpedoes cost more. Thus if you launch en-masse you end up with a very costly game. I'd be fine with either. When I play DD I do not fire unless I am as certain as I can be to hit the target. This will not be a simulation game, it will not be full on arcade, it will be something in the middle. If in doubt they'll swing realism if it does not hamper game-play significantly. We could all root for our view until hour heart's content though, but we'll just have to see.
