lol, of course they have. Before they had no choice but to accept it as they did not even think about measures to secure their client and if they wanted to control mods. Now they are securing the client as of 0.3.1, and they are further developing the idea of how to best control which mods can run or not (where certification has been mentioned). -

Human beings are the issue, yes. The more they think they know about something, the more opinionated they may become. The less they know, the more cautious they are. Except those mentioned last, earlier.

Limit of launching game in team if there's more than 1 tiers between highest and lowest team member

My guess is there will be a lot of tweaks to MM over the next year and more, first thing they have going is +/- 3. If that works out in WoWs, they'll go with it. If it does not work so well here as in WoT they may try +/- 2, but I really can't see +/- 1 happening. -
I reckon a tier 4 premium ship, or something like that (?). Nothing too fancy, but still cool.

Not sure how it all went down, but just taking an argument about not capping when one should, in WoT that could have gone down like this: 1. XVM shows red player - Argument about player not having a clue, tomato, nubbin. 2. XVM shows experienced player - Argument about player should know better, ebay purchase, nubbin. 3. No matter what XVM shows - All of the above. In WoWs: Argument about how it is not possible to understand that you are supposed to cap, with possible additions of nubbins.

He is just stating the facts. Until patch 0.3.1 it is legal, after-which it will stop working.

And then it becomes World of Stats. People even reroll a new account just to have better stats, in numbers, and are not shy about it either. The focus just shifts, in a rather extreme way, from playing a game for relaxation and fun only to it becoming a something to do to have high score/stats to show the world. Now, people can argue that it is their way of having fun but I highly doubt that was the intention of the designers. Earlier, WG has said that they can't easily or very well just disallow XVM as there was no system in place for it and development of such would take time and money thus was not high on the agenda. Now with the aim-mod, they have shifted stance quite drastically compared to before and are interested in securing their client from mods and have further hinted at the possibility of taking control over what mods can be run/used (possibly by some sort of certification system). While it is "easy" to secure their own client files, first step happens soon in 0.3.1, the latter will take some time to sort out. To set a client up for certification is not a big deal, it is how they will handle such a process that takes time to figure out.

This thread raised awareness about a mod that WG is now taking dedicated steps to disallow. When people became aware of the mod, which they would have eventually anyway either by discovery or rumour, any good shot became a possible cheat. Without this mod, that would not have been an issue. As long as the mod is there, people will doubt. That is perhaps the worst part of this mod existence, as it creates the doubt and affects the community in a negative way. And as for this thread, roughly 1% of the current player-base visits or posts on this forums, you might as well accuse Rita's blog for making people aware in the first place.

When I click on the desired ship it says You can purchase this item only for yourself. No option, what so ever, to gift it.

Happens a lot in different variations. We got superiority, the team will not either reset cap or go cap. Had a team-mate earlier that sailed right past our cap circle and could have reset cap and possibly killed the two who was there, but he rather chase the Cleveland that was up at row 1. Tunnel-vision and red-mist are indeed prevalent some times. :-)

46 games? I got 217 atm. And I never play a tier before I have gone there by natural progression, I got a Sims waiting for me when I reach tier 7 as well. Did the same in WoT, never used a premium tank unless I had reached the tier by progression first. Doesn't stop me from buying them and keeping them in my garage/harbour though.

I'm having issues with playing the very same map up to 5 times in a row these days. When I started it was on a rotation, as soon as I hit tier 5-6 I started getting the same map up to 5 times in a row before it changed.

And that will be the result in WoWs too, in the end. In WoT I can not take the constant spam in chat, also because I do not understand the flow of complete gibberish some times, and rage and have disabled it. Here I have it on, and for the most part it is useful *if* people read and reply.

I tried the mod in around ten games with different classes, as I stated a dozen or so pages earlier, to see what it was all about and the red dot was in front of the ships while they were sliding. Me knowing from before that this did not compute manually adjusted and hit. Yes, it can be really new guys that aim in front, but at tier 6 I would reckon a lot also view the map and see I'm at the border and if you zoom in you'll see the blue line as well. Wish I could have a replay, and it is possible to turn it on afaik but last I heard that was still under NDA with the alpha's (?).

And I may be judging too many that may or may not have it, but like you count posts I count the times I have slid down the border of the map and watched shot after shot just go past in front of me where my ship would have been if the border is not there. After a while, when you see that a lot (and I do mean a lot) you tend to get very negative about it as well. I really wish we could make replays, would make a lot of these discussions easier. :-) Now I need to play some, and not do this forum-thingy too much and get more posts than games played......

Just met one in a battle that I've really noticed, this ship is stealthy if it wants to. I tried to hunt it down with my BB and it eluded me for a long time, popping up and disappearing again. I really wonder if I'd like one of those.

Island, allies in back, no enemy on the sides, not spotted from air and even if something had spotted me I stopped behind the island to reload so I would be ready when I exited which meant at least 30 seconds before I exited. And as I said, three ships hit me dead on. If it had been one I'd chalk it up to luck but not three. Of course you are free to view it differently. And as I've just called for moderation of the thread I'll not go in to a debate over how I view it at this time. Feel free to continue if you like, no worries.
