    PT 0.6.6 Feedback - Sound

Sound, the Ultra, is awesome but... can we please have a way to turn off the "horns" and the extra sounds before each match. They are a bit... overwhelming, ear-drums bleeding.

    PT 0.6.6 General Feedback

Before this round starts, make sure you've included the new Co-Op PvE to count towards the rewards people get on their main account, or else most people would probably be doing regular Co-Op and Randoms instead. EDIT: Just checked, the PvE Co-Op does not count toward the 3 flags, the premium day or the 10 type 6's.

    Event fatigue setting in?

Not so very long since the CoE event, which many felt they needed to do for their own reasons, and now we have the Hood/Bismarck event where many want at least the camos and some want a free Bismarck. Not really a long break in between, and it feels as people are just getting more and more tired in-game. At the start of both events it was 'hey ho, gl & hf!' and all that jazz which quieted off towards the end of CoE and now it's barely no response from people. No F-key greetings, no chat, just grind. So I wonder, why the current event "needed" to be done now because of the date perhaps for future events that doesn't need to be on a specific date or around, possibly spread it out a bit so people have a chance to recover. Just a thought.

HMS Hood available on the 19th May

Yeah, seems like I picked it up today as well. When I logged on to WoT earlier I got an announcement that WG gave me a 20% off coupon because I've been at it for three years this month, that was nice of then. So for 80€ that package actually became worth it, for me. Thank you WG.

    Mikasa mission

This is, yet, another mission that only the better if not best players will ever have a regular chance at getting. Some people might get lucky at the later stages of course. I already got it, rarely sail it other than for the novelty and doing something very sloooooooooow for one game. Main guns can't hit the broad side of a barn, lol. Secondaries are of course fun, but as said you are slow and you need to stuff in to your range and by the time you're there the game is halfway over. TBH, I'd rather recommend just forking out for it if you really want it but to each his own.

    Event fatigue setting in?

Same as me, but we're not the majority of gamers. 'The Grind' is real for extremely many, some people struggle for real with not doing events as they feel they have to. Like an addiction.

    Update 0.6.6 Technical Test Feedback

WG, you either need to give the Lexington (scenario CV) more HP/survivability or change the ships/placement of ships when they enter after her. There is not a snowballs chance in h*** that casuals will ever go beyond the 2-star stage this way. Remember, people actually lose to bots in regular Co-Op, and this is it on steroids. As it is now, as soon as the CV enters she's under crossfire from the Mogami, Scharnhorst and what not and 60% of her hp is taken out in the first 10 seconds. It needs adjustment, imho.

HMS Hood available on the 19th May

lol, so the bonus skin of the top package is just a regular non-camo paint job cleaned up and made premium camo. haha, epic. I bet they laughed hard when they put that one in.

HMS Hood available on the 19th May

Is the "Repulse" skin that's the standard? And what is listed as "Intact" skin is the historical one, or is it the other way around?

    worst matchmaking in game history

I have no idea what happened this evening though, one moment games were normal as you'd expect and then I take a short break and return and it's like someone turned the lights off. Just odd. Just silence, ships on both sides takes the looooooong way around, it's like I entered a parallel dimension where things were just opposite of what I expected. Ah well, time to play some other game.

Rant: Teamkiller status after 173 HP dmg

I've turned pink once, and that was when me and another DD was at the front lines and I fired my torpedoes and he sharply turned around while I was doing that and bam-bam-bam he was gone and dead and I was pink. Took five games, and regular colour again. I have launched far reaching torpedoes, from first line, but they were slow and had someone come in from the side catching one of them and die. I did not turn pink however. It seems that for people to turn pink you need to do a certain "steady" team-damage or reach a limit for what is acceptable. I even collided with a DD at a point where he had 12 HP left and while friendly ramming doesn't do much damage, those 12 HP went away and he sank. Still no pinkage.

Jingles has quit the EU WG CC Program

I wrote that just before going to bed last night, and I was expecting a thread just the way it is now when I woke up which is why I wrote it. The longer the thread goes, the more 'red' comments get, swearing, bile, and all because of what really? Some person on the Internet that had a tantrum like a five year old that just learned how to swear. The only two CCs that I've seen so far that has had a somewhat regular response to this is QB and Rita, measured and like adults. It's all out of proportions and the focus is lost. Is there a discussion to be had *with* WG if they so choose? Yes, but only after this is over, done with and buried as there is too much person-focus here and you can not be constructive then. imho. And now you have a 127-page threadnought on the WoT part that won't go away for a long effing time, because we all now how it is like over there and I just fear I'm going to see this post just grow and grow here as well contributing nothing in the end but just making people feel miserable, and again about what? The harsh truth is, in the end this is WGs game and they can do with it as they see fit at any time for any reason. At some point in time there were a few individuals who were, through trust and possibly equal admiration, given access and bonuses and helped the community, WG and the game grow. But when you get lots of followers, lots of viewers, that does something to people. It's like showbiz, not everyone is suited to stay on camera and some tend to get full of themselves after a while and start to do really tacky stuff both on and off-camera. This diva behaviour then collides with the studio of said people in showbiz, and they start to demand and put the studio "in their place" to the cheer of their fans and then one day the studio just does the right thing, and fires them. Fans are sad, there is an uproar, and some time later the once-be diva is bottle deep in vodka while the fans have found someone else to follow. Same will it be here. Once you remove the diva from it all, then the journalists can come to the studio talking with the studio head about how to tackle issues that may have been brought up earlier and only then will the focus truly be on that subject. Now I'm going to have a warm shower and something to eat, then I'm going to sail and just leave it at that as I already used enough energy on it in 'the other place'.

Please, don't bring this to the WoWs part of the forums as well. There is enough about this in the WoT part, where it belongs. To be very honest.

A small change to encourage more aggressive BBs?

No matter of training, instructions, channelling of sheer willpower towards them, will force a player to play his ship a certain preferred way. Those that come around are those that would've none the less, albeit possibly later on. If you look at randoms, what happens is people like to huddle up and go in large groups in one direction/path (otherwise known as a lemmingrun) and that's just human nature. They feel safe in groups and to move outside of that, be it front, back or sides is just purely incidental. Right now the system works in a way that the longer you are from the front, the less xp and such you get and the closer you are to the enemy the more xp and credits you get as long as you are with the main advancing group. If you and two others split of for a flanking, even it is successful and you do your fair share of damage and kills you'll notice that you don't get as much rewards as you know you'd normally get if you were with the main advance doing the same effort. So in essence, the system is awarding grouped advances. I used to be angry Joe a lot, tearing my hear, swearing at the screen, frustrated, irritated but it just dawned on me for real that in the end it doesn't matter because I can not change this. No one can. It's just who people are, and you can't change them. If the game mechanics where changed in a certain way, they'd just find another way of compensating. So one just have to accept it is what it is, and that gives true release and from there on in with that mindset the only thing that does matter is your own game, how you do. Nothing else, be it win or lose.

The game feels like its rigged.

If you're having flags in your running rigging, are your flagged rigs then rigging the game? Just a thought.

Well if this is just a technical test, then the regular Public test should probably come next week I reckon and that runs for a week, so 8th of June? Or so.

    Update 0.6.6 Technical Test Feedback

"Newport" Naval defence, your carrier comes in and you're supposed to protect her, and the enemy comes in just a couple of km's behind and one of their ship is an Izumo and two DDs. loooool. So here we are in tier 5 mostly ships, and it is impossible to save the carrier because by the time we've taken out the Izu and the two DDs she is so damaged from the Izu secondaries alone she pops right after. Might want to change that BB to a non long-range secondaries ship at the very least. Also, the new PvE Co-Op mode doesn't count towards the specials you can get on the main server, now in this test. It wouldn't mean much really, but since regular Co-Op and Regular battle no longer works there is no way to achieve it for people.

    0.6.6 first info

This PvE mode seems fun, and it isn't too hard. Forts are on your side. Friendly fleet come to help as well at the end. It's a scenario. Stay together, focus fire, support. All the regular stuff from PvP works.
