Ah ok. I wanted to be sure... Well, in this case I can assure you that they don't. Instead 30k dmg on Scharn probably does, mainly if dealt to lower tier ships than yours and without accomplishing some other achievement (cap, def, torp, dmg with secondary, etc.). I had sometimes such bad PR as I landed in total noob team that got annihilated within a time too short to do anything required to increase the PR of single battle. ;-)

Excuse me, would you please tell me what did you mean with "PR" (personal rating? points of reporting?...) and where did you check it? Well, it seems all you are very lucky with this thread... When I open last one describing how I was threatened about being reported by another player "...because he had radio..." I immediately got either the thread removed and a warning for forum rules breaking... Anyway the most hilarious (and pathetic) report I took was "reported for reporting" after I told a team mate I had just reported him as poor player... LOL!! But if he had some friends linked on TS he could actually make me chat-banned... Is it fair??

I love to become pink instead... Frankly I got that color playing the T2 V-25 GER DD only. I love it veeeery much: 5.2 km detectability range (using camo) vs 6 km torp range (torps are a little bit slow only...). Unfortunately T2 maps are full of little islands scattered around. And short too. The first time I was at "torp bay" in "big race" map and I launched torps to one S. Louis who was running away 4 kms ahead beside an island. Just after I dropped the torps a friend player in another DD turned around the island and started chasing the SL too. He sailed for some seconds just beside my (slow) torps but I couldn't beleive when I saw him turning towards them (before they were passed beyond) to make all guns aim the target. He obviously ate a torp and died. I didn't need to warn him because I knew he had torp warning on his screen and frankly I didn't even feel the need to apologize, just because I was sure he deliberatly ignored my torps because he was so eager to score that kill. In that case IMO HE deserved to die because of being such idiot far more than I did to become pink... About pink in ranked I have a counteroffer: TO REMOVE the pink penalty to everybody who executes coward DDs rejecting to cap and answering when are invited to do "are you mad? they have radar and hydro!!" even before any enemy actually used them (but they COULD have)... This way the team mates playing capital ships have two way: either cap themselves getting suicide under crossfire or camping trying to snipe some enemies out waiting for the final defeat. In both cases I believe everybody agrees the team wastes the entire battle time for nothing. Well, if pink ships deserve to be banned from ranked so that would be the minimum such cowards have to expect instead: to be court-martialed and executed immediatley, don't they? -

Sorry for OT, but would you please tell me what mod is the ships' angle gauge you have in the center of the screen. Where I could grab it? I have bad sight and wear glasses and when I play in dark scenaries I do a great eye strain to see the real aspect ratio of the targets, getting often an headache just after few battles in bad wheather. I'm quite good to calculate the target's deflection when I see its actual aspect ratio so such mod could allow me mainly to be able to play more battle before the headache would come... Thx in advance.

WG tried to sell us RL wouldn't affect too much the gameplay in random mode... Well... and what about that with ranked now??? I have just lost a ranked battle simply because of one noob enemy had RL so his team was able to foresee which area my team chose, preventing us to cap. In this season ranked battles are alredy more unbalanced than the previous because of one almost-unsinkable GER BB or UK smoking-cruiser more in one team instead the other definitely turns to it the win chance. Fighting against who can guess where the whole enemy team is going to cap is absolutely unfair in such battle mode. After around 20 ranked battles in this season I can say that the original purpose of this battle mode (i.e. to have battles where the outcome could be more influenced by players' skill) is now totally PERISHED. After a whole line of ships (i.e. IJN DDs), after random mode (where at the present moment World of Warships is changed into World of [camping] Battleships), now WG was able to wreck even the alternative battle mode she created... Well done once again... Sincerely!!

Enemies: 2 GER BBs, 1 UK CA - We lost. 2nd. My team: NO GER BBs, 1 UK CA. Enemies: 1 GER BB, NO UK CAs - We won. 3rd. My team: 1 GER BB, 1 UK CA. Enemies: 2 GER BB, 1 UK CA - We lost. 4th. The worst thing was that the noob located by RL for first didn't warn us so we were completely taken by surprise finding enemies at the farthest area from their spawn place. Well... I think at this point WG should turn the name "ranked battle" into "premium battle" or better "pay-to-win battle"... LOL!! -

28 Well... I didn't expect nothing different. So thank you very much for confirming some FACTS. 1- EVERYTIME someone begins to talk about the possibility that MM couldn't be absolutely random IMMEDIATLEY someone else pops up trolling, just as I told in the first post. Usually the troll try to ridicule the idea to discredit it, this time the same thing but eventually in a different way!! 2- This time unfortunately you missed to refute the real topic of the discussion. Despite the headline, we are talking mainly about the lack of real balance in team assembling by MM i.e. that battles aren't real fights this way but instead something closer to a carnage (one team is often annihilated either by kills or by score), being not important if you lose or win. Thanks once more to admit however that you too know there is a made-to-win-team and another made-to-lose. We are not talking about if getting losing or winning rows is random, but rather that most of times the outcome of the single battle is FAR from being random because of the ABSOLUTELY UNBALANCED teams MM usually builds. 3- This way the idividual skill has often absolutely NO influence on the final outcome of the single match (well sometimes could even have but rarely only) and this is really frustrating and boring. -

35 In some way this is wrong... MM doesn't take in account players' skill in team building but it seems reminding the outcome of the player's very last battles and use it to form a most-probably-losing-team (gathering there the players with the most recent bad outcomes ) and a most-probably-winning-one (with players having good). Please don't believe trolls that pops up everytime someone puts in doubt the WG's Bible "battle are random, MM is random too". Believe your eyes instead: ALMOST ALL games are NOT BATTLES (definition of battle [google translator]: a sustained fight between large, organized armed forces) because there is NO FIGHT, but instead a SLAUGHTER. I played 5k of games and I remember no more than 5-10% really contested till the end. You wouldn't do that... It's happening now what ALWAYS happens JUST AFTER EVERY NEW UPDATING, mainly when sub-patches are released (=x.x.1...). Try to pay attention a little bit as I'm doing since a long time and you can easily notice that is a constant. Looking at this repeated behavior is easy to guess that with every update some MM's settings are usually changed or resetted too giving a worsening to the chance of having winning rows. The best you can expect just after (=from the next w/e) an update releasing is a strict defeat/win alternance with an high chance to become into a losing row. Even after some days the game usually becomes more "friendly" and you will have more games where you can get a win most of your wins will be slaughers anyway. -

In this ranked season GER BBs' number in teams MUST BE absolutely balanced or the battle outcome will be too easily predictable by their number in the team's roster. Not having I got ALL defeats the first 5 ranked battles I played. Almost everytime I scored by myself the half whole team's kills against teams having more GER BBs. Every player perfectly knows how Colorado and Nagato can't be compared to Gneisenau and Scharnorst (almost unsinkable: hard to penetrate by shells... dodging torps even more easy than a CA... can't be faced at close range because of their torps...). Maybe the best thing to assure an acceptable balancing would be to limit to three or even to two the number of BBs in teams. Also IJN DD's should be better balanced after WG nerfed their stealth feature. Playing a visible Jap DD is now almost suicidal in ranked where DDs have often to play without support. If ranked was made to let the players' skill having more positive impact on the battle outcome, well GER BBs messed this up totally. If MM will continue to be unable to put EXACTLY the same number of GER BBs and IJN DDs in each team every battle, well... playing ranked will get no difference between playing random this way: the single player's skill will be totally useless to win. -

it's just what I said... But it's (let's say) "highly probable" that it remembers your session's outcomes. If not, would be very hard to explain what every player CAN SEE everyday and that is ABSOULTELY OUT of any statistical rule. The only thing you can be sure having ALMOST NO INFLUENCE is the single player's performance over the present battle outcome as everybody can learn playing. Instead I would like to know how you could be so sure about what you said. Have you the access to server and MM settings? Or maybe are you simply making reference about what WG usually sells to the players? -

I had many good (sometimes VERY good) sessions in the most recent days instead. Anyway, even if WG will never tell you that, everyone who played some battles knows three things now: 1- the battles ALMOST NEVER are balanced (in fact most of them end with one team having either all or almost all ships erased or score zeroed), i.e the server builds up a made-for-to-lose team and a made-for-to-win one, 2- the server REMEMBERS your most recent battles' outcomes and MM uses them to identify either "good" and "bad" (temporary) players for building one or another team up as above, 3- the MM trends to provide "RANDOM" outcomes (but it CAN'T actually does that because of not taking in account the players' OVERALL stats) i.e. to put the "average" players one battle in the good team and another in the bad one to achieve the 50% WR's trend. Anyway there are a lot of factors that could affect the above trend turning into positive or negative. Too long to explain what they are and how works just now (sooner o later I will make a how-to-beat-the-MM tutorial ;) ). However the goal every game session is forcing MM to identify you as a "good" player so you can play mainly into the good team for the (hopefully) whole session. The advices I can give at the moment are: A) Try to use ships with a good SWR (=ship's WR), mainly at every game session start so MM can identify you as "good" player. B) Try to do everything you can to help your team to WIN THE BATTLE: winners are more eligible to be identified as "good" players. C) Try to achieve the most XP you can in each battle, dealing dmg and doing other requested performances in either losing or winning team: a good performance (and a bad one in opposite too) helps to allow the MM identifying you as "good" player and could even turns the ongoing trend. D) THE MOST IMPORTANT thing to avoid of starting endless losing rows is to quit the game and restart a new session when you get lose 2 battles (max 3) in a row even if played using two different ships but ABSOLUTELY if played by the SAME ship. However remember that sometimes you won't be able to turn a negative trend everything you do. In this case better STOP PLAYING completely for the whole day. Sometimes you could have also a ship with bad own stats so you will get lose every battle you play using her, even in different days or even weeks. In this case you have to STOP USING her even for some weeks before you can play her again safely. -
Please answer so we can understand if these missions still have a sense.

What the hell!! The new guns' sound seems like a drumbeat on a cotton-filled drum!! Never heard something so far away from the real gun's sound like that!! Maybe they didn't hear a real naval gun shooting in their life, but would have been enough even to watch some old WWII's newsreels to have an idea about that just closer to the reality than this crap... I'm really sad to watch how the potentially exciting game released more than 1 years ago is getting to the bottom of the sea by a lot of messed up and unwanted changes. I can't really understand the WG's marketing strategy: nerfing whole ship lines till making them virtually unplayable, creating missons almost unachievable and now making the game sound really unconfortable... Uhmm... I definitely DON'T undestand the reasons behind all that... Yuck!

Not so weird... It happens just after every new update. I've noticed this thing so many times as now I'm almost sure it's not by chance. You said you had 55% WR and this confirm that the worsening affects mainly the average players. Stated that either the bad players have always been in the game as well as MM often builds a made-for-lose team and a made-for-win one (I'm sure almost all players have been noticed that most of the battles are not real "fights" but slaugthers instead, even with "balanced" ships), the only difference is that just after update the average players have a greatly increased chance to find themselves into a built-for-lose teams. I'm not sure why this happens (maybe the update resets average players' recent [better] stats so MM sees them just like noob ones... I don't realy know) I but it's a fact that everyone can check up on WR chart at http://wows-numbers.com/ . The only things the average players can do are either to stop playing when they begin to get a losing-teams (=lost battles) row quitting the game for a while (or even for a whole day) as well as to try getting the best performance they can even losing battle to make their recent stats better than their global ones are... Plus some little tricks to (try to) beat the MM that sooner or later I have to list in a tutorial...

I'm afraid I'm going to lose all my free reserve slots. Full ARP mission swarm is running but I already own all four Kongo-class ships plus the Ashigara. I've already earned the second ARP Kongo but, opposite as expected, I don't have 2 different ARP Kongo in my port of Yokosuka now. The most recent goal I've just achieved didn't increase the ships number but it did the ARP captains however. When I earned my last ARP ship the Ashigara I put noob ARP Ashigara's captain in my old ARP Kongo and viceversa to have a skilled captain in the newest ship. When I've recently earned the second ARP Kongo automatically either her captain was put into the old one and the Ashigara's went to eat one place of the reserve. Now I've 5 remaining places only. I'm close to earn all the others useless ARP Kongo-class BBs so I'm expecting I won't own more ARP ships but only more captains that will fill all my reserve. How is possible to prevent that? Should I have to stop playing untill all the ARP missions will be expired? But this way I have to miss the usefull ARP ships too... How WG made such thing possible? -

You're right!! I've just earn ARP Hiei too and this time they added 1 port slot and switching captains, puting old one into reserve, but I can still see 5 available slots there!! This is really odd... Could it be maybe because when I got 2nd ARP Kongo her captain was switched with the Ashigara's? Maybe putting into reserve a captain different than the new I've just got filled one slot there... Maybe better follow your advise and ask the support. Thx mate. -

Well, I had 6 available places into the reserve before and now they are 5 only. One place has been already lost. And this is true even OUT port of Yokosuka. The ARP ships have instead a slot in port of Yokosuka only. Next ARP I will earn I want to test if the added free slot will be usefull for a normal ship and in all ports too. Anyway when I'll find all places of reserve occupied I will be forced to dismiss my skilled captain I have there and hereafter even skilled captains currently on ships when I will sell them for the tier upgrading. And what on next ARP mission swarm?
