CVs and gaming enjoyment in WoWs: Polls
Episparh replied to FixCVs_Nautical_Metaphor's topic in General Discussion
Huh, exactly what I have expected. Too few enjoyed CVs before, looks same situation now... WeeGee wasted half year of doing something that no one wants... Someone will most likely will be looking for new job opportunities soon... -
Targeted nerf of single premium ship is important precedent and warning finger

The history fans are most likely pissed off from fictional ships and reality in which U. S. S. R is a major naval power -

No mate, you don't see the problem. They want to balance the old one so they can get of your " shinies" for the new one. They have no interest in balance, because it is the meta which sells stuff and makes profit. -

Oh, really? It looks like we live in parallel universes. Can I buy a ticket for yours? -

Where did I wrote that it should be "just a different variation of an existing ship". Or a reskinned version of an existing ship. There are TONS of ships that are not in the game (and probably never will be) that WG could bring as a premium / reward ship. Ok, could you elaborate further and tell me why someone would invest real cash trying to get new tier 10 cruiser which WeeGee spent months on development and testing if he/she already have all meta ship in existence? -

I wonder how many players would get Balanzgrad if it was just a different Moskva... In the same way like Salem is just different Des Moines. For someone to make a profit should offer something that is appealing and wanted. Making changes to what is already existing in the name of the balance is just another scam. What's next? Changing Missouri credit earning modifiers to the level of other ships just because it gives unbalanced economic advantage? WG is walking on a very thin ice with the recent moves... -

I think it's a well planed move. CV rework + incoming nerf/tweeks whatsoever come just after end year holiday season where we were tempted with rare ship loot boxes, steel missions and so on. It's not a secret that end of January and February are dead period for any kind of sales, so there is no better time than that period to mess with client trust. There is just one small issue: Bite-and-switch is considered a scam and even if they can walk away with legal penalties the community will remember. -

Well, there is one way people can give their opinion - with their wallets. -
There is one small but important difference - this change is not a game balancing issue but a straight nerf to a ship that is sold separately and it is not the most over performing ship, nor on her tier, nor in the entire game. For SC and wow... Do not know, but these I think are p2p or pay once games... Haven't played none of those so I do not know. But in such cases balance that affects the entire game experience makes sense. CV re-work makes sense also as that change influence the entire game, what actually I do not understand though is why once AA monsters are now performing less efficiently than ships which were below mediocre AA performance.
-
If you prefer online games that never change from the day they are published, fine. I know of none that stayed online for any meaningful time Well, I prefer the game to change but not by nerfing old premium ships just to sell us new one. There are plenty of stuff to address and as I said GC is not even the most broken ship. I already made a decision - WeeGee should work harder to regain my trust as customer.
-
I like to emphasize on that
-
Because there is no better time than NOW - the chaos given to us with 0.8.0... and the massive nerf of almost every AA ship for the sake of removing the the insane influence of pro RTS CV players.
-
Although it's standard it's a direct abuse of client trust which never have a positive outcome.
-
The thing is how the game is balanced. GC is not the most broken premium even at her tier yet her 320mm guns will be moved to t6. It's ok to do that with ship that is not release yet like Azuma and Virbus Unitis but doing that to a 1+ year old ship is outrageous. P. S. Should I remind you the scandal around Graf Zeppelin release? Getting euro and sterling for pixels and then refund in pixels is entire different topic which I do not want to discuss.
-
The problem is that some people think that stats can be interpret by numbers without context. GC in t6 means refund... And I already closed my wallet for WeeGee as they are messing, nerfing and power creeping premium ships way too much.
-
I suggest you to go and read "How to lie with statistics"! Your article lost me on the point where you compare GC stats with Tier 7 BBs' stats... Comparing ships in t4-t7 bracket with ships with t5-t9 bracket...
-
I am sure Missouri, Kronshtadt, Stalingrad and Moskva will approve that Shiny horse is one of the best performing T7 BBs... It have other things to bite back and her low caliber guns may have less pen but they certainly have better reload and accuracy
-
Well, it is not actually that good compared to Lyon, Nagato, Colorado or even Gneisenau either. I do not know why they mess with GC... The ultimate t5 seal clubbers are in other class
-
1) It'll be tested so presumably we'll find out. We are getting the fruits of the testing currently with that CV non-sense. Just reading the description aloud makes me wonder how this reached a live server
-
So Gulio will fight No Cal, Massachusetts, Amagi and Derpitz... Is it really that good?

[0.8.0] First CV rework tweaks and changes Confirmed
Episparh replied to Puffin_'s topic in General Discussion
Well, there are some stuff that are obvious with common sense and testing is not required. Such as: Press F for GOD mode 8km torps with low detection range -
Who cares? That ship was released months ago. We wait other ship.. For more than a half year... Hint: starts with A.

You call lemming trains and potato clustering a team play? A team play is when you can punish enemies with cross fire because of good team positioning / spread. Having 8 ship in single quadrant because fear of CV nonsense is not a team play -
CVs about to get nerfed to the ground (yay, rejoice all CV haters)
Episparh replied to valrond's topic in General Discussion
The major CV problem is the magic F key and the plane immunity while returning back or while waiting for attack to be performed. The second problem is random AA... A full AA Worchester kills 5 planes while shima kills 40ish... A CV should be discouraged attacking a heavy AA CAs/CLs at any range... Not torping them from stealth with 8km low detectability torps. -
RTS CVs - NO! I would like no CVs at all but unfortunately WeeGee won't listen.
