  1. Ok, to sum it up... - Destroy 2 ships: not a problem. CVs strike only very rarely so an unsuccessful attack can't be quickly made up, but - on the other hand - you can deploy your firepower where you want it, not as limited as in other classes by your position. Overall, it might be easier to score 2 kills than in most other ships, especially if you make it your priority over victory (and, for example, target ships that could be easily killed by teammates or damaged ships that don't really contribute to battle atm). - Cause 5 floodings: much trickier on low tiers, a breeze on high tiers. Basically, you don't get that many torp bombers on lower tiers and the flooding chance is somewhat low. But... well. Fly your signals, drop your torps, hit your targets and pray to RNG - and it should be doable. As long as you sail with as many torp bomber squads as possible, of course. - Hit enemy ships with bombs 5 times - should be pretty easy on USN strike CVs, might be trickier on IJN because the latter have less bombs and problems with spreads. Manual drop is REALLY tight, if you aim well for a slow, big target, you get lots of hits. Auto drop is pretty poor, though and if panicked, the reticle grows to half the screen. A novice CV player will probably find it much easier in USN carriers - but frankly, this task shouldn't be too daunting - Do ALL THE ABOVE in one mission - now, this is a problem. You see, in my Taiho it's a no-problem mission, a couple matches and it should pretty much do itself. But in my Taiho I drop 12 torps and 10 bombs per sortie. Low tier CVs have... less. And slower planes. And while lack of AA and less agile BBs certainly help (especially when you are top tier as t6 carrier), it doesn't help THAT much when your goal is a certain number of bomb hits or floodings. It shouldn't be very hard, but for a pretty new to CVs player in a t6 carrier? Might be somewhat frustrating and take more matches than you're willing to put into it... All in all - I would advise against pursuing the mission. Seems like you'd need to actually grind the t6 CV first (since you say you played just a few games... or do you want to freexp through?), THEN you need to hope for a good game where RNG doesn't screw you over on your flooding chance. And after being done with this mission? You still need to chase down enemy CV in a DD while doing 100k damage - not that easy even if you division with a CV to be sure that you have something to chase down. A finally... you're forced to pursue a Kraken (if you get a Kraken, you tend to be in top 2 EXP so this doesn't make the deal that much harder but still, a Kraken). A 12 skillpoint captain doesn't sound worth the frustration bound to accompany anyone trying to accomplish this mission. Not to mention that even when playing a lot, and skillfully, you just need a lot of luck to accomplish it. So, my advice - screw it. Like I do

Magazine detonation - remove it already

Fun and engaging mechanics today - just had a match. I and one other DD in our team. Both promptly detonated...

    T8 DD kagero captain skill-line

Well, TA is generally not worth it now, the speed gain is small, the range loss big. More importantly: unless you plan to re-spec your next choice should most definitely be Concealment Expert (5-point skill).

Pearl harbor DD mission... Bad example

I has everything! Unreasonable requirements, dependence on rarely-seen team composition you can't normally influence (other than by divisioning) AND bad gameplay incentive

standard battles aka the camping team always wins

People play SM like [edited]but if that were the reason to remove a game mode, we'd have to remove all of them. Anything other than Domination is a rare sight as it is, this whining is just stupid.

Elimination thread number Two: Tier V

Zuiho (1/2/1) : 8 Kongo : 3+1= 4 Fujin/Kamikaze : 15-3= 12 Gremmy : 29 Has already been said. Nice DDs in right hands and against right opponents but certainly not better ships than either Kongo or Gremmy. So I downvote Fukami and upvote the one from Kongo/Gremmy pair that has less points.
  7. Well, I wrote "limited-time mission chain" but indeed, probably should've been more specific. After all "3 months" would also count as limited time.
  8. Now this mission chain is truly hilarious. - a kill mission for rarely seen target? Check. - a mission only for a class that's rarely played and even at its best - not for everyone due to much different gameplay? Check. - a kill-planes mission NOT available for the only class that can actually plan on doing just that? Check. - a kill-many-ships mission encouraging withholding fire just to score the killing blow? Check. - everything combined in a limited-time mission chain that makes sure that you need to do them all in specific order? Check. It's as if someone look at all the complaints about bad mission design and asked himself "how many things people hate could I fit into one mission chain?" No, seriously, it's not incompetence of mission designer - it's trolling.

Agree with this I not, but the answer give you I can. Compensation for team damage went away together with repair fees. Currently you pay a flat fee for playing a match (dependent on your ship) reagardless of whether you finish without a scratch or need to pick up pieces of your ship from the sea floor. The change came through to make people camp less in "expensive" high tier matches (although plenty people seem to not be aware of it working like that - so it doesn't really work). Either way, you don't directly pay for your ship being damage and, therefore, you are not compensated for an ally damaging you. The reasoning has an obvious flaw that while you don't pay for being damaged, neither can you earn as much as if you had all your hp (and if you get "friendly" torped at the beginning of the battle you can't do anything at all) so you almost always do indirectly lose money for being damaged by a friendly. But... oh, well. As for the OP. Two trolls started shooting at him but didn't do enough to even turn pink. He returned fire, like an idiot, got pink, like an idiot, and then sunk himself with reflected damage - like... well, I guess you got the picture. Trolls won. And they even won the battle too AND each of them finished above OP in XP. This is as total of a victory for trolls as can be. Gj OP, you got defeated by the two of them as completely as humanly possible.

Elimination thread number Two: Tier V

Zuiho (1/2/1) : 18Kongo: 12+1 = 13Fujin/Kamikaze: 25-3 = 22Gremmy : 32 König: 13 Kongo: on this list she's second only to Gremmy. Of course she has some trade-offs for her speed, otherwise she'd be absolutely OP. What's important, however, that her speed and range make HER choose her fights - the benefit normally reserved for much smaller, squishier and less powerful ships. Want to chase her in another BB? She can outrun AND outrange you. Want to disengage? Her speed and range won't make it easy either. In Kongo you can decide where your team needs you most - and get there before the (next) match ends Fujin/Kamikaze: why do people like them so much? I mean, they're good DDs, but seriously, there's nothing ground-breaking about them. Great torps, sure, but hardly immune to WASD hacks... and their guns are underwhelming. Overall good sealclubbers but I'd take any of the remaining ships over these.

Best way to get Free XP

I'm pretty sure you're wrong here, though. Free XP is the one case where bonuses actually stack multiplicatively. The order seems to be as follows: 1. Apply premium bonus 2. Apply all other XP bonuses 3. Calculate free XP 4. Apply free XP bonuses Normal XP adds bonuses and Captain XP adds bonuses (and "ship bonuses" but these are added too). For free XP it seems to be different, though, so for optimal performance +freeXP bonus should preferably be used along with +50% XP signal as well as premium camo (preferably on top of premium account, of course, that one stacks with everything, as usual ).

    Missouri 750k free xp ?

There is no feature too OP for some people to fail to make good use of it. BBs have great range? Well, it creates the risk of them sniping ineffectively from long range. BBs with great armor? Well, obviously it might make people feel invulnerable and prone to overextending. BBs with Radar? Well, it creates the risk of BBs getting too close and getting killed. If there was a BB with 40 knot speed it would potentially make him outrun his support and be killed due to concentrated enemy fire. Neither of these changes the fact that it's better to have longer range, better armor, a Radar and superior speed. And while yes, each of these things open way to making mistakes people otherwise wouldn't make, it's hardly a good excuse to introduce a 40-knot battleship, right?

    Missouri 750k free xp ?

On the plus side - US server gets her for the same price the EU does But it certainly seems like it's them getting the EU treatment for once rather than EU getting US one ;) Oh, well, at least I don't feel compelled to keep onto my free XP anymore now "just in case".
  14. eliastion

Why are the maps all the same?

It's not map being symmetrical that was the problem OP mentioned - it was them being ALL THE SAME. He didn't complain that it doesn't matter what side he spawns as both play the same - his issue was that it doesn't usually matter what MAP he spawns on as most of them are very similar between each other.

Pls pro players, give me some advices.

The reality is that you need a good gunboat (preferably t8) to hunt down Russian DDs. Other options: - BBs might work (esp. on cruisers) but you are slow so you can't ensure bing close and when shooting from afar, with slow reloading guns, there is a big chance of the kill being taken by someone else. - Cruisers might work better but they are squishy and can't rely on stealth the way DDs do, making attempts at hunting down that DD so much riskier - CVs - arguably the best option (esp. t9 IJN CV) due to great capability for picking targets. But, let's face it, people who had high tier CVs and were willing to use them for this mission probably do/have done it already.

Well, sounds like a bug to me, really. Did you submit a ticket (might quicken the fix by 0,1 minutes).

Why to cap a objective with a dd

Ok, first of all - no, it's not a task for BB to cap a point. Armor and hp might suggest otherwise but the reality is that the DD is the only class of ship that can survive getting into the cap early - unless the enemy either went another way completely or defends with just a token force and the allies take advantage of that to push with many ships. What's important, however, is that getting the cap is secondary to surviving - even a DD is in grave danger when he tries to cap (as you already found out by yourself ;) ). Sitting in the cap in smoke is usually a bad idea - there will be torps coming your way, for starters. If you have good stealth and spot enemy DD that wants to contest the same cap - try to keep distance to get your team shooting at him without revealing yourself. If you mutually spot each other - retreat. If he does too - the cap will remain uncapped. If he doesn't, you can try engaging while retreating so that your support is better than enemy support. And if it's you whose camo is worse and you don't see the enemy while being spotted - gtfo while you can, pushing to catch enemy DD is likely to get you killed senselessly because you get closer to enemy supporting fire, further from yours AND the one shooting at retreating target is in a disadvantage because shell travel time makes the pursuer shoot at greater range than the actual distance between ships. It's important to try and cap caps at the beginning but it's even more important to do that in a way that won't get you killed. Usually if you are forced to smoke, the smoke should be the means to get out safely rather than something that lets you stay in the cap.

    Honorable Service task 2

Fast firing gunboats and light cruisers do that, generally speaking. New IJN t8 DD should be able to complete tasks like these while playing with one hand. UK cruisers seem to be good too.

Reduce citadel chance through the ship deck

Wait. Did you just imply that cruisers citadel BBs with regularity anywhere near comparable to what they receive from the latter? That's... not a claim well grounded in the game reality of WoWs...

    Missouri 750k free xp ?

Free players also generally don't have doublons to convert that sh*tload of locked XP needed to get Missouri. And I'd be REALLY surprised to learn that ANYONE has a 400k+ free XP, no matter how stingy he is and how long he has played.

    Logical error in Campaigns

Shinonome, t6. You check it in client, btw, it's possible to look up the rewards (and tasks) in stages you don't have access to yet.
  23. eliastion

    Logical error in Campaigns

No, you misunderstand completely. You completed the task for pins. You unlocked the final task. If you complete the final task YOU CAN PROCEDE TO THE NEXT STAGE. You don't have to complete any other tasks on this level. If you're a compulsory completionist or want their rewards, you can - but it's not needed. Pins+final task completed = stage clear, you can proceed further. To go with your example: Your parents give you a bag of sweets for each of the: Homework, tidy your room, wash the baththub. If you do two of the above, you can go play WoWs. But you can still do the third thing (perhaps after playing WoWs for a bit) to get all the sweets you can.

    Yet Another Campaign topic...

You noticed this only now? But, as others have said - it is possible to advance without BBs, just less profits to be gathered on the way.

    PLEASE unify the consumables hotkeys

An option to rearrange consumables on your ship would solve the problem right away. 4-5 consumable keys and you just can manually reassign consumable slots to positions you want them at. There, done. Everybody is happy and can manage their own ergonomy themselves.
