This. A whole lot of high tier maps are indeed obnoxious, but play a few high tiers on haven (which is cover-heavy) and there too you will see yamato's and bismarcks running towards the border.

If that sacrifice is engine boost, that is a nobrainer. You have to "sacrifice" speed boost on us dds as well if you want defAA... (though I still see some fletchers/gearings running speedboost ) I disagree because 10/etc seconds is more than enough to get half your health taken away, or more if a fracking BB gets "lucky". More so I disagree because radar is already too omnipresent in this game, and should be a cruiser perk only. But yea. Radar for anti-DD, torps for anti-cruiser. Come on WG, you forgot north-cal like Anti Air with defAA? Don't disappoint us. Or are you guys trying to be subtle?

So according to tier 8-10 Pan-Asian DDs will be able to mount radar. I do not know how reliable this information is. Can someone help me with that? If true, please pick up the torches & other necessary equipment, because I'm getting quite sick of being powercreeped every few months - though in the first place I just hope it to be not true.

Don't really think it has smt to do with missions or the like. I first noticed it while grinding maass about 6 weeks ago, a lot more tier 9 then typical for tier 7s. Now I have the same while grinding minsk, which uptiers extremely bad. Just had a game with over 250 hits, 3 fires, about 55k dmg. Most of the shells just shatter on any bb. Really not looking forward to continue pensa grind. I've heard they "fixed" tier 5/6, so that would explain a lot.

More important, they don't threaten the bbabies - just the opposite, more dd on dd carnage.

Please explain to me again why a lot of people laugh at or just generally hate battleship players.

So out of curiosity I went to the store to see how much they sell them for. (It's about €50 for 25 & €25 for 10) What puzzles me is that they are being sold as "on a discount". How is that possible if they were never on sale in the first place and we have no way of knowing what the real/original price is? Isn't that just a very lame sales technique? (or worse than that, i.e. consumer fraud)

Yea, but nothing so infuriating when playing that mode with a torpboat, especially smt like shino. Basically ending up as spotting slave. I also recall a TX standard mountain range once in my mogami. This. Though I hate standard mode in general on any map. WG once said they don't want to get rid of that mode because "a lot of players like it more". Must be the same players that love tears of the deserted brains.

Like you said yourself: the matchmaker is an important factor. This is nothing more than a guess, but I'd say the scharnhorst is thrown into higher tiers (most of them tier 8, seldom t9) about 30-40% of the time. Tirpitz will see higher tiers way more, like 60% or more, with most of them tier 10, which will be extremely painful. Besides that, scharnhorst is the most beautiful "BB" in game ;) Edit: of course the other guys might be right in saying "just don't" - but if that won't stop you, one more useless BB won't matter that much. I bought my scharn way too soon as well.

You need the captain skill advanced firing training ASAP, else that ship is unplayable.

I'm not speaking out concerning Tubit's specific argument, but yes, his wiki quote is certainly more than applicable regarding P2W (or whatever acronym serves people's nerves better), since the topic is extremely sensitive. If people feel their favorite OP toy is threatened, any argument they make may well be more of a rationalization rather than a rational argument, and adressing the underlying psychological mechanism may seem like a "personal attack", it certainly isn't.
