Since most important aspects to win/loss are spotting and killing dds (because they can spot and cap), they'd have to tackle those issues. So my guess would be that spotting a dd with cv would no longer make dd visible for the others, except on map,and that cv would no longer be able to torp dds (giving them a version of the panasian torps). This would also majorly reduce skillgap between cvs, that atm for a large part means: those who spot dds (and other ships) and who can strike dds versus those that can't. Reducing skillgap could further be accomplished by removing/reducing effect of strafing. Which would lead to cv being reduced to leftclickers, compare Graf click-and-I-win . Which would be hated by decent players, but attract a lot of others. Who would do nothing all game than leftclick bbs (cause they can't do much else and enemy cv will be limited to prevent) Which would lead to overtime for oncologists specialized in bb skyc@ncer (this gets edited, really?...) Am I close?

Try them on the pts server. Ever since I tried moskva there, my donskoi grind has slowed down even more. From what you want I'd recommend Hindenburg as well tbh. You might like moskva of course, but be warned, it doesn't feel like a cruiser at all. Sluggish, slow turrets, etc Zao would fulfill your requirements too, except fire rate. (Henri even less fire rate, mino and des Moines don't fulfill your range requirements) Have fun with the cruiser grind, whatever it might be. Take priority target and come and share your horror stories.

Your kami captain would still Function even if in retraining. Also, if a non premium dd captain has ls, and is in retraining, the skill would still work at 50%. Not enjoyable of course,but you wouldn't be going in circles.

I've kept concealment on mogami, as it is more a question of turning circle (and the size of the citadel) with that ship - if you aren't already quite angled, I doubt you'll be evading a lot. I too have the steering gears 3 on khaba (though not a fan of the ship) & on the hinden on my alt account (hint by @Sander93 if I'm not mistaken), since the concealment stays quite garbage with the module anyway... Everything else is concealment, cause as @Negativvv suggests, it's not really an option not to if everyone else does it. Never experimented with TAM. (I still have fond memories of running into that kagero with TAM in the last ranked while in my lo yang. Never had I been so confused when hardspotted in smoke :D)

Indeed. Not only that, but also the underlying notion that reality will conform to our niceties, once we will abandon all the nasty words to describe it, annoys me extremely. Like replacing the "n word" (or forbidding it), will abolish racism and make those distinctions disappear. Here in Belgium, and I'm quite sure in a lot of Western countries, a lot of effort has been put into place not to refer to ppl with Down syndrom as (the Dutch equivalent of) "mongoloids". At the same time, 2 years ago there was some upheavel here, because since the NIPT (non-invasive prenatal testing) exist, most *insert your beautiful term for those ppl here* get aborted anyway, the moment they are detected (somewhere around 90%). Want to know what the upheaval was about? That the test costed €500, so the less affluent people couldn't afford it that easily, and that thus the "burden" got placed upon the poorer ppl. (paraphrasing the literal debate here) Luckily, we solved that problem as well by reimbursing it with healthcare. So now everyone can get rid of the unwanted with ease of conscience now, because first of all we don't discriminate by money, and of course we don't "insult" them anymore. Well, at least until they are extinct, I guess... Gotta love mankind sometimes.

If you say specifically counters German bb, that means you're using ap bombs, so you can send your entire strike package at once cause no need for dot. So You are saying then that a Bismarck shot down four (!) air groups before a single one could get through, all on its own... Please send replay. Because it's impossible.

It is ridiculous at the moment. Something along piritskenyer idea would be a start, though with higher difference. Also, I don't see roon or hipper, they get outspotted by bb all the time.

You really focus on the lower tiers too much to form your opinion. I don't even recall the RU tier 2. At least give the tier 3 a try :P The german tier 5 is a torpedo boat. An extremely sucky one, ok, but nevertheless. The only real gunboat line is the RU line anyway, and even they have some acceptable torp boats. Ppl will often say KM dds are only good at t9/10 (they are extremely good), but they are already quite ok before that. (starting from t6) The farragut is the last US dds with very short torps. At least give the mahan a chance. Do you try to use the farragut as a torpboat mainly? Cause that will fail, hard. The US DD line doesn't really have any turds tbh. (I liked the benson the least... :P The heresy) And now you are trying the PA dds, and again formulating an opinion on some low tier gameplay. Given your descriptions of the other lines, you might once again give up before the real strengths. I'm quite curious about your experiences with them at t5/6... Anyway, don't give up too soon on a line, is my general point, because you might have seen nothing yet. Also, boats and gameplay at t1-5, fun as it might be, are absolutely insignificant, and you shouldn't base an opinion upon your experiences there.

Lol Stupid me, I read your post too quickly. I thought it said the guy had seen smt like 'our team has 55% to win' If he based his chances on a generized wr for both teams, that is indeed stupid. But I've used a similar tool myself (stopped, because too depressing), and if you take a proper look at both teams, you can quite accurately predict the outcome tbh. (Most importantly the stats of the dds)
