Yesterday I had this game, and I thought for a moment to start a new thread about balancing radars, but yea, like they care. My div mate ran radar minotaur. Their Neptune didn't btw. I really felt sorry for red team for how mm effed them over in the pooper. That is 6 radars versus 0. For those with discalculy and the like. That's SIX versus NONE. Cause BALANS. And FUN. Game was over exactly as fast and onesided as you think.

You can of course troll around with the short ones, nothing wrong with it. Though in the end they'll have the same problem as the F3's for yugumo/shima, and lo yang will have very similar matchmaking: Passive gameplay + radars at high tiers make them barely worth it. I've taken the anemic ones most of the time, since it main task is to contest caps/hunt enemy DDs. That's why I would disagree on one point with because when going versus other DDs as much, you'll need every bit of health as much as you can, and hence best replace DE with SE.

I like(d) mahan, gadja, lenin, akats I dislike(d) maass, shira Minsk I don't remember. Don't have Blys or Sims. Given the best mm spread (besides tX), akats might be the best IJN torpboat ingame. The "objectively" best will probably be the gadja or leningrad.

A lot of good tips above. Some gameplay tips. (i.e. tips to win) 1. Shoot enemy DDs 2. Protect your own DDs. 3. Shoot enemy radar ships. 4. Find the optimal range where you can exert pressure on the red team without overextending. 5. Stay near friendly ships when there are carriers. 6. Shoot enemy DDs. 7. Always keep an eye on the minimap (I found this quite hard myself). And anticipate if you need to relocate in time. Also, shoot enemy DDs. And everything else is just a question of time & practice. One of the reasons so many people will advice you not to skip lines/tiers. Cheers.

I just had some games with el2a (kisses :x) and we were talking about this. When I started the game, I didn't know sh1t. The most basic tutorial was just about moving and shooting. Everything else I wanted to know (carriers incoming, hydro, torpedoes, whatever) I had to go learn on my own on youtube or the forum. I can agree with you that a buttload of players might not be interested. But there might be a lot of them who are like me, except they might not be wanting/able to go look for them theirselves. More ingame tutorials/manuals still might have a lot of influence imho.

@El2aZeR this really is a very appropriate question/opinion imho the fact that he only got the response is extremely sad. He in essense is just stating "we don't care at all about the vast part of CV players". Just as they don't care about the vast part of players of any class, as long as they play the game, click their way to whatever tier and along the way maybe buy some premium. Who needs information? Wow, just wow. Besides it being an insulting and stupid remark, I am sincerely amazed this bs is still going around. Before it came out, people, mainly referring to movie lovers here, were mainly surprised that anyone would make a remake of a movie that is a quite unique masterpiece of humor. And sure, some internet trolls were making a fuss about gender, which got too much fame because ultramegasensitivities in these enlightened times. In previews and early views the reception was vastly negative, rightly so. Nothing about it is funny, it is just 4 people rambling on and on about bs in a movie that lacks any coherent script. And then the marketing team of the movie pulled off one of the most genius PR stunts /scams ever, by implying, or better, making very explicit, that all negative critique was the same as those idiots rambling about gender. And again because of these current ultramegasensitivities, nobody, at least at first, dared to directly counter that bs argument, cause, you know, engaging in that discussion, saying that not everything is reduceable to sexism, almost sounds like denying sexism, and probably means one is a exist himself, no? As I said, pure genius. Luckily the box office was sensible, and this monstrosity of a """"comedic film"""" won't get a sequel. Though that this idiot argument apparently still has a foothold baffles me. (and nowhere have I seen or heard of sexist anti mad max reviews. Probably because the PR team didn't need to spread BS, because the movie was solid, got received very well and did well at the box...)

Stopped doing that last one when for the second time all BBs just went full "CHAARGEEE", died in +-7 minutes and they started critisizing "look at that atago with all that health" and handing out those reports. Seen them saying the same nonsense against chappie's etc.
