There's a difference between broken and overpowered. Broken means that a ship is for example almost immune to heavy damage; and/or does retarded amounts of damage; and/or has some other attributes that are just stupidly unbalanced. (stealth/consumables/etc) Overpowered means that it is way too easy to carry/win games with a ship. At least that's how I understand it. That means that an OP ship automatically also is broken; but not the other way around: not every broken ship is OP. Broken is things like monqueror or, for this topic, GZ. It is not a given that their winrates will be above a normal scale, even when driven by (semi)competent drivers. Belfast is OP. My own WR in it is 79%, solo 72%. Way beyond what I would or better, SHOULD, be able to do in a normal t7 cruiser. It's brokenness is implied, in this case being t8 stealth module (becoming a trend, see z39) + smoke+radar+hydro+disgustingIFHE+verygoodAP. (edit: did I really forgot about it's great AA suite ) (But it is the most relaxing thing to play after having met a few too many braindead teams, cause who needs them in that thing, except for temporary distraction of the enemy. And it makes decent creds)

Even worse, what you often see when that last BB is still alive, is that all the enemy goes berzerk to go for that last kill, with everyone opening up, knowing that loss is impossible. Even DDs shooting it in the open. If the BB can blap that DD or a cruiser for half his health, that's vasts amounts of XP offered on a plate. I said it once or twice, "team leave that idiot BB alone in the middle of nowhere and just count down or we might give him his star", but it is no avail. Some things about this game are beyond depressing when you come to think about it

I think he mistakes OP with broken. And in that regard, GZ is broken beyond belief. And yeah, people can say it can get countered easily by decent shoka/enterprise/whatever as much as they want. @El2aZeR, @Boris_MNE or whomever who plays buttload of carriers, can you please regale us once again with tales about that vast amount of glorious CV players you meet daily?

Mogami handles the useless open maps that are so common on higher tiers way better though. Suppose your dd tries B on okifuckya or on buttdimple range, you can follow quite close, hold your fire until enemy dd is spotted, fire and go back stealth before all the red team focuses you too hard. Same goes for chappy I guess. Such shenanigans are not really possible with the new us CL's afaik. Quite curious how they will do there...

I have this too. My work around, though only if you have double (or more) screens. Before launching the game, open task manager & drag it to your non-gaming screen. Doesn't have to be perma opened there after. When game crashes, nothing on your gaming screen will respond, but you can alt-tab, or ctr-alt-del to task manager on your second screen at least. As my response implies, I've also gotten a lot more crashes...

In cruisers that I like to play - hinden, zao - it feels like a lottery as to which quality of DDs I'll have. I probably started too late, but most DDs seem to be useless beyond belief. So atm I resorted to going z52, and even though I like the ship and can win a lot, it is frustrating, cause I almost never hold my star on a loss. And yeah, that includes capping multiple times and killing DDs. Don't forget that because of 7 person team every ship is more important than in randoms, not to mention it is a tier 10 ship, the loss of which is extremely hard to compensate. Getting your only radar blapped in the 4th minute, while the enemy still has two left is something that is almost impossible to come back from. (I know, coordinated pressure on the right spot could compensate. Hah.) Good coordination? I can only dream of that. For now I am just happy not to see some shima rush into C cap in north, and then smoke up when radared by the o so unsuspected des moines. No, not kidding. Here's a ranked team. (upper stats = for that particular ship, bottom the general stats) You think it is one example? Not even close. Try it for yourself if you want (and dare). You think they're all perma rank 10. Nop, some of those reddies were r8 and 7. Thanks WG for irrevokable rank 10 (and way too rewarding economy)! You the best...
