Yup. WG has been non stop producing ships that can just join the boring bowcampfest. One counter, albeit extremely RNG dependent, was getting a "permaflood" on one of these. But that went the way of the dodo of course. I am really annoyed by so many people blaming carriers for the camping meta.(the blobbing meta is just a variation, and an unnecessary one for that) The 3 years non stop 5 BB/team is to blame for that, and once bowcamping in bbs became the meta - the camping became a permanent trailer park. The amount of time a BB can just press the reverse key and survive an onslaught of enemy fire is beyond BS. A while ago I might be hoping that WG would come back to its idea of making BBs more vulnerable to frontal damage, but I've become wiser.

You're gonna attract quite some trolls, but I do sympathize. Tier 8 carriers atm are a joke, not only because being quasi permanently uptiered, but also a lot of people at high tier with at least a minimum AA spec. If you have the freeXP, just use it.

It's been over ten years since I had to deal with all this, but AFAIR sample size is less relevant than the pure randomness of the test group. Also, the guy didn't just link MMR-"autism", but his very specific (and very fictional) subgroup of autism that he claimed to have discovered - so, theoretically, at that point he didn't need comparison to other "similar" studies, since there were none. Also, a lot of biological/medical/pharmaceutical research is done on what you and me would consider (very) small samples, but once again, afaik that isn't the most relevant criteria. While true as a general rule of life and a lot of medical decisions (leave a diagnosed slow cancer alone or intervene with agressive chemo in a 75 year old etc), that's not the point of fundamental research, medical or otherwise. (which this was, although it ofc turned out to be deeply flawed and corrupted)

I mean, even if they cost credits (I don't know & I don't care), just making the statement "I don't want to lose planes cause credits" doesn't make any sense. You don't want to lose planes cause the "cost" (of losing them) isn't worth it versus the damage you can do, and/or because you want to keep as much planes as possible until mid/late game, and/or whatever... Anything but frigging credit cost. Hence why I interpreted that statement (among others ) as some quite nice trolling. Compare to if I were to write a post where I said, "yea sometimes I don't shoot a target in my BB, cause those shells sure are expensive"? Hint hint...
