I wasn't talking about dds. Of course they have a chance to retreat if overextended by dropping smoke. But concerning you being able to retreat in an overextended cruiser that easily as well... Like I said before, show me the replay, because I'm having doubts about your statement and your definition of overextension. What light cruisers are you talking about btw?

Do you play cruisers? If a ca/cl is overextended it doesn't matter if you have speed/maneuverability. If you are in that situation, you can either turn, and be citadelled to death when taking the turn (smart bbs/ca's will wait for optimal time) or not turn, and then death will be 20 seconds slower (citadels through the front, he, secondaries, etc). Don't know why you mention torps because they will not save you. Overextend means btw it doesn't matter if you go silent, and even then, those 20 seconds are a long long time. For bbs you mention "SOME" armor?? In contrast to the more than "some" armor of another class? Like mtm said, you can survive a turn of death in a bb, in a cl/ca you can not, it is as simple as that. And "will struggle to return fire"? Does that even matter? If you are about to die it doesn't matter if you can return fire, you will not take out everyone that is shooting at you. And also, I guess you are referring to the slow gun turning speed, you do know that some cruisers also have that problem, right? And "big target" doesn't even qualify - a lot of cruisers are quite big as well, and everyone and his mother will be targetting them even if you were 3 millimeters... Serious question to end: are you trolling?

Have had the same problem. You could be right about it only happening when in division - I can let you know if it happens solo as well.

So I have gotten to the roon for a while now. First I installed the reload mod, because I felt that would be better for a cruiser that performs better when brawling, and I saw that was recommended for the Hindenburg. However there are quite some open maps in the higher tiers (fracking mountain range, tears o/t desert epicenter mode, ...), the amount of bbs is still the same (really, I don't get this. In tier 5-7 sometimes it happens (not often) there are only 2/3 bbs on each team; in t9/X this never happens) and everyone and his/her mother is shooting from max range; and with that tier1 skill that tells you how many ppl are targeting you, the cruiser-life has been made clear, very explicitly so. Sometimes I wonder how much that magic number would drop if there were a friendly bb a few km in front of me giving broadside to the reds... Asked some clanmembers and those that had (or have had) roon all had taken the range module. In the end, I have taken it myself. 1,2 seconds reload versus multiple kilometers of range in that kind of gameplay seems to warrant it, though... I don't know. I have my doubts. Also don't really like giving in to that kind of "group pressure" (by lack of better term). Any thoughts would be welcome. Thx

Fair deal :-) I don't really know why you (don't...) mention the Trumpmaster, but since you do, might I add that "allegedly" isn't really accurate as well, and you change it to "alternative fact"? Regarding him, there is an (actual!) quote from Heraklitus, that says "Justice will overthrow all those who utter lies and give false testimonies." Heraklitus was known as "the dark one" for being a hardcore pessimist (why I liked him), but I feel he might have been a little bit too optimistic though...

Well, of course I yield to the mighty wisdom of the "common consensus" argument. I'm also quite intrigued what else said consensus could say about him...? Anyhow, I wrote two papers on him when studying - his aphorisms aren't that many in number, and that quote isn't his. When searching the source of all the wisdom of humanity's o so underestimated common consensus (zhe interweb) I did find a whole lot of people quoting that "quote", "stating" (not enough quotation marks in the world) it is Heraclitus'. Found one discussion page started by someone who also was suspicious by this thing going around (http://www.armedpolitesociety.com/index.php?topic=935.0;wap2) All fragments are since long (beginning 20th century) collected, and to be found in "Fragmente der Vorsokratiker" by Diels & Kranz. Found a site where you can find them on http://www.heraclitusfragments.com/files/ge.html Proposal. If you can find that quote, I'll give you a premium ship of your choice. Now there common sense would suggest that's an interesting deal...
